Chromas, despite their soft and cuddly appearance, are one of the most vicious predators known to man. Standard breeds are the size of a large Maine Coon Cat, while larger breeds can match the heights of Tigers. They have fluffy necks, tails, and fur tufts on their limbs. They also have rabbit-like ears and rodent hands with sharp claws and opposable thumbs. Chromas have colorful crests on their faces around their eyes that can glow on command and allow them to telepathically communicate with others since the sharp fangs in their mouths make it impossible to speak naturally. They are hyper intelligent and able of telling right from wrong, however this does not stop them from being little Maine-Coon Cat/Tiger sized sadists that enjoy eating their prey alive just so that they cause it pain. Chromas have a specialized organ in their brain that allows them to manipulate and control their own genetics. This organ, called the Gene Center, enables Chromas to activate or deactivate specific genes in their DNA, allowing them to change their physical traits and even develop new abilities over time. They have a special type of cell in their skin called Chromocytes, which are responsible for producing the vibrant and varied colors of their fur. Chromocytes are highly responsive to the Chromas' emotions and can change color to reflect their mood. Chromas have a flexible skeletal structure that allows them to contort their bodies in unusual ways. This makes them highly agile and acrobatic, and able to navigate difficult terrain or avoid danger with ease. Their flexible skeleton also mean their bones can be squished and stretched to help them fit in small spaces, and they can climb through holes that are half of the width of their skull. Chromas have a highly efficient respiratory system that enables them to extract oxygen from the air more efficiently than most other creatures. This allows them to survive in environments with low oxygen levels, such as at high altitudes or underwater for short periods of time. Chromas are very catlike in behavior, even with their human level intellect- And they enjoy laying on cold things that are slightly elevated since it reminds them of their alpine beginnings. They give birth to a litter of kits (3-8 kits per litter) and give milk to their young until they are 4 weeks old, and kick them out at 18 months old when they can fend for themselves (And get the fuck out of their mom's basement and get a job-).   >>-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<< Original concept by ChatGPT, with a major rewrite and visual examples by Pikku-Peruna Chromas are an OPEN SPECIES! They started as just a little fun warmup activity to get out of Art-Block but I do really like these guys and I wanna share them. You can make as many as you want! They can follow the lore or you can make your own, you can even make adopts and use Chromas in your personal stories if you want! (Please just don't show me any nsfw of Chromas- keep that shit private lmao)
