Headcanon #800: Soul can turn it's trident generally into whatever object he wants. Usually matching with whatever the time/song/scenario he's in. An umbrella [spring & a storm], a gavel or an auction sign [the bidding], trident or rope [TSE & the bidding] etc.

So I heard this line in The Bidding and I legit didnt realise it was flipped and ended up making this while trying to figure out why each half would say this in the middle of ethics class so uh. Postersssssssss.

(the scribbled out bits are because I think that Heart and Mind cherry pick their arguments to make the other look unreasonable)

hmmm. thinking about the “your [silence]/(violence) deafens more than any sound” line in the bidding

just as a whole, this part of the song heart & mind sing is like the first time they’re being open with each other & actually communicating, even if it’s still about how much they resent each other. but this line in particular… heart says violence, like he’s finally openly admitting how much minds bullying has affected him. but what gets me is how mind says silence…. almost like he can’t stand it when heart isn’t present and/or talking much. how maybe during heart’s imprisonment when maybe he wasn’t around much or at all, mind felt himself going crazy. he thinks he resents heart and when he’s around he wishes he would just shut up, but when he isn’t…. mind just feels Off. like somethings missing. like it’s too quiet. maybe that’s why in be born, he almost seems to be urging heart forward and out of his slump, albeit extremely rudely. because he needs heart there with him, even if he hasn’t even realized that yet.

Heart and Mind still help each other when they're injured despite fighting all the time.

Mind will dislocate a finger and Heart will fix it for him, or Heart will get a cut on his hand and Mind will bandage it, even though sometimes they're the reason the other is hurt in the first place
