sometimes i'm like "eurgh it sucks being back in [environment] because it's not like it used to be and i hardly know anyone and everyone i do know knows each other better than they know me so i'm always lurking on the edge of other people's conversations and never really part of anything"

and then i remember it was exactly like that when i was 21 too and i don't know why i ever expected anything different anyway
