This may be a first for me!

This is quite possibly my very first post ever to feature only the BACK of a guitar! 😂

But what a back, huh?? No need to see the front. Just look at the beauty: vibrant 3TSB with a nice dark edge and cream-coloured binding to perfectly frame it, and nicely figured birdseye maple neck. No Relic-ing on this guitar thank you very much. I like my Custom Teles CLEAN!

I have a long history with this guitar. It's a 1998 #Fender#CustomShop '60 #CustomTelecaster NOS, and it originally belonged to @the_damo_experience who sold it to me back around 2011. I then sold it back to Damo a few years later when I was going through my "I only buy vintage" snobbery phase, but missed it so much I almost immediately began to (relentlessly) pester him to sell it back to me. After about 6 years of my patented persuasive pestration, I finally wore him down and he agreed to sell it back to me a few months ago, no doubt just to get me to stop calling and texting him fourteen times a day! 🤣

Photography notes: I am still without a flash head so these were taken in 100% available natural light. I love the look of natural light but I have moved away from it because the sun just can't keep up with the brightness of a 600 w/s Godox AD600 Pro (lol).

Anyhoo: with no flash I have to use higher ISO (more grain, less richness of colour), wider aperture (less stuff in focus, not as sharp), and slower shutter speeds (more chance of motion blur due to camera shake ruining a shot, because I only shoot hand-held). These were taken at a variety of ISOs between 1250 and 2000, WAY higher than the ISO 400 I would normally not dare surpass. I reduced the "noise" in Lightroom, but that blurs some of the sharpness and detail, which means I am ultimately not as satisfied with the quality of these pics when you blow them up on a big monitor. But they look OK on a phone screen. I guess. 😉
