many many things to plan, and even more questions that need answers.

how do we move a 141 lb Mastiff?

A: You drive, most airlines don’t fly large dogs even as cargo, and those that do will not fly them in the Summer months due to extreme weather.

which rental car place is least expensive?

Costco, always check Costco and when that fails, use KAYAK

which hotels allow pets/military discount?

Red Roof Inn, they offer a 10% military discount, allow pets and don’t charge your pet to stay with you, they also have a rewards program and are all over the country!

Should we sell everything or use a storage facility?

If you’re not attached to anything sell what you can, store what you can’t.

which storage facility is best?

Always check the insurance policy of the storage facility, often times they’ll offer insurance but it doesn’t include break ins or damage by weather. I’ve used Public Storage before and they had a great policy to insure your items safety in extreme weather, heat, rain or cold and a lot of their indoor facilities have controlled air.
