NOO But tbh I'm kinda secured that SkyNani would be working as a pair for a long run. Idk I'm sensing it I really think what's happening between them is genuine and they really have a good bond, also they look like they really like working with each other. Because in every interview they'd always answer it with joy that they hope they could work again or it's always "us" always "skynani" not individually. I'm not sure what the future holds but I'm really guessing that they'd be tgt for a long time...
yess for sure!! it's really so reassuring to see how they really do want to keep working together as well 🥹🥹 from nani saying how he was sad after hsf filming that they wouldn't be working together anymore, to all of the interviews where it's "us", like you said, and them saying to look forward to what's coming for them next
(also sky practically never mentioning mu te luv when they're asked about future projects and nani having to remind him 😭😭 he's just as excited for wu as we are)
even at today's event, they were saying that they don't have much work yet in march april may (so even after fancon !!) and asking (very cutely) for people to hire them 😭😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
like obviously i don't think they're gonna have projects together every year, but i rlly do think we'll get to see them working together in whatever capacity for a while to come :))

Hello, want to ask, why Only Friends is shaping up to be 'THE BL'?
The hype is real.
Gmmtv show but a bit risqué for this agency. (See 3 will be free and The warp effect)
Excellent and seasoned actors (who chose the project, no one under 25 except Neo (22) but HE IS AN OG) ,
Jojo Tichakorn is a very talented, queer, sex positive director who doesn’t give a shit about pairings. He will wreck havoc in the cobranded pairs and some will hate it. I for one WILL LOVE IT.
Great cinematographer // Great crew.
Very Queer story shot in very queer spaces. Bangkok gay nightlife. Possible exploration of queer hustler culture (small dealers, sex work, yaba pill popping, queer people in the justice system). Class differences and frustrations in Thailand.
Queer women ! Trans women !
Binge drinking will be treated very seriously (see The eighth sense)
It’s a sexy, messy and toxic story but in the hands of a very sex positive team.
There is a bet, with real money, about this show having the evil twin version of the 3 will be free threesome. (Nicknames including 3 will be messy/a catastrophe,4 will be whores/hardcore.)
Hollywood is on strike so hella potential new viewers.
So it can totally be “The Thai BL” of 2023. But funny thing this director did ONE (1) BL : Never let me go and used the format to dialogue with the uber heteronormative lakorns of his youth. Will Only Friends even be a BL ? As I said FUN !

The kids today are all surprised hamster that server space, UI, and bandwidth aren’t free and Investing Capital/Market Speculation/captive audience advertising can’t carry things forever.
It is kinda annoying honestly especially as someone who grew up in the early days.
(seriously dial up hit my house when I was like 10, my older sister when she went to college my dad who worked in early modems selling to IBM had to demand the college give her an email address, they didn’t want to now colleges give every student an email as par for the course)
If we want to not have to move from platform to platform rebuilding our online identities/connections/spaces again and again we have to find a way to curb corporate profit seeking to prioritize platform stability.
I think something young people have to learn about is ToysRUS
In proof we live in an irony pilled timeline a week after the company announced liquidation the founder Charles Lazarus (dude literally named Lazarus) age 94 a WW2 vet who opened his first toy store in 1948, passed away.
“He was a pioneer in the big box movement,” said Gerald Storch, who was chief executive of Toys “R” Us from 2006 to 2013. “His business concept was as innovative as eCommerce is today.”
Mr. Storch said he regularly reminded his staff of the founder’s key business principles: “Having more toys than anyone else, having great prices and being in stock when no one else is in stock”
ToysRUS was seeing pressure but it could have adapted and withstood these pressures. (One thing would be to increase in store engagement have events to draw in loyal following, start having playcare type services, cobranding deals and exclusive releases, and narrowing profit margin, heck shifting to a worker owned operation. But sadly none of that happened.
By the early 2000s, Toys “R” Us’s business model was under pressure (from Walmart and internet retail), and the company was purchased by a group of private equity investors in a leveraged buyout in 2005. The new owners loaded the company with $5 billion in debt, and crashed it to the ground in record time.
Honestly the reddit API thing kinda has me freaked out. Not that I care too much about reddit specifically, but it's a sign of just how much borrowed time social media is really on, how much pressure there is and how little money is really left to go around. "We" all knew back in 2008 that none of this was built to last, that everything would collapse when it couldn't turn a profit. It kept proving us wrong somehow, but it looks like that might finally be over.
I hope tumblr stays around for a few years at least. I hope even if it doesn't, that it doesn't just go down one day, never to return. And I hope when it finally does go away, as all things do, that there's still something left, either Discord or some new platform, or hell, even irc or forums if nothing else. Just.... something. I'm not sure how I'd ever manage to talk to anyone like me otherwise. If this is the end of the golden age of the internet, I have to say I wish I'd been less productive the last twenty years and spend more time goofing off while it lasted.

But hear me out—
At this point, they’re practically moving like any BL couple would. I mean, look at the events they do together, the games they play at fan meets—it’s all very couple-like. Even the actors and directors are openly shipping them, and the audience is eating it up! Let’s be real, the only thing missing from High School Frenemy to make it a BL is a kiss. 😆 The tension? The lines? They know exactly what they’re doing! Even the series editor seems to be keeping up with the shipping.
It doesn’t feel like they’re avoiding the BL angle intentionally; it’s just how things played out, they got big doing a bromance series so.... If I remember correctly, wasn’t Wu a last-minute addition? I think there was a staff member who went live and mentioned they were surprised that the story ended up leaning toward SkyNani. I don’t know all the details, but I’m happy with whatever they’ll offer us in the future. Hahaha. Of course, I’m still praying for them to eventually do a BL together. 😭
Honestly, based on what I’ve observed, I don’t think Sky would mind doing a BL with Nani. Have you seen him in Nadao? With Tor? HAHAHAHA. Sky seems open to these roles (I guess). With Nani, though, I’m not entirely sure what he thinks about it. Either way, it’s up to them, and I’ll support whatever they decide. HAHAHA! 🌷
AHAHA THEY AREE 😂 the heavy cobranding with all the events right now (gmmtv’s response to the sudden popularity) combined with skynani’s obvious enthusiasm and appreciation towards it makes me think they’re gonna be paired together (in whatever capacity) for the near-while. all the shipping's an inevitable consequence of that, and tbh I love how everyone (other actors and industry ppl included) are having so much fun with it right now 😌🫶🫶
Your second part’s so interesting !! I never rlly thought about it like that, but it would make sense that they’re kinda just vibing things out lol, no one expected hsf as a non-ql series to get as big as it did, so everything’s been kinda unprecedented since (also why a lot of the promos are so couple-y – I feel like that’s the only way gmmtv knows how 😭) Seconded, I’ll continue manifesting the skynani bl for sure, but honestly I’m pretty happy with whatever we get with them, and even though wu’s a bromance series I already know it’ll be gay as hell 😌😌 (like hsf was already like that without any expectations on it lol)
Yeahh skytor are too cute, I love all the nadao gang 🫶🫶 (rip) and with jjtor pairing up as well in smym (I will never get over this, my og ship), the sky’s the limit ahskdjfk
Also this is complete speculation and just my opinion, but yeah i do agree that sky would be on board with doing a bl rn, nani not so much, but again we don’t know these people, I will be patiently waiting for what’s next and whatever happens happens 😌😌🙏

Unlocking Franchise Growth Through Co-Branding
In the franchising sector, especially within the United States, co-branding has evolved as a transformative approach. By partnering with compatible brands, franchises can exploit the combined strengths of different identities, allowing them to access fresh customer segments, boost operational efficiency, spread risks, and lower expenses. This strategic joint effort not only enhances market share but also significantly increases revenue and sales while strengthening competitive standing.
The Challenge of Brand Consistency
One of the main challenges franchise brands encounter in co-branding is preserving the consistency of the brand, which is vital to prevent customer confusion and maintain the integrity of every brand involved. Nevertheless, co-branding also offers a unique opportunity to bolster brand values and uniformize customer experiences and operational practices across co-branded sites. This necessitates that franchisors establish thorough brand guidelines and create solid training programs to ensure smooth brand integration.
Successful Co-Branding Tales
Instances of successful co-branding show how strategic alliances can harness shared strengths. Yum! Brands demonstrates this through the co-location of its fast-food chains like Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut, offering customers a wider food selection while increasing franchisee earnings. Meanwhile, Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins showcase a harmonious combination with their coffee and ice cream options, offering variety and a buffer against seasonal sales variations. Furthermore, partnerships between gas stations and quick-service restaurants provide convenience for travelers, highlighting the effectiveness of such strategies.
Keys to Effective Co-Branding
Executing co-branding strategies necessitates a well-structured framework. Initially, it is vital to identify brands that resonate with your core values and target audience. Drafting explicit co-branding agreements is essential to delineate the duties, standards, and shared marketing tactics of each party. Unified marketing initiatives, cross-training for personnel, and defined performance metrics are vital for the continuous enhancement of co-branding collaborations.
Balancing and Planning
Franchises venturing into co-branding must delicately balance individual brand identities, manage operational discrepancies, ensure fair cost and revenue distribution, and maintain the flexibility to modify or end partnerships if required. These challenges highlight the necessity of meticulous and strategic planning in co-branded endeavors.
Future Trends and Opportunities
As franchise co-branding techniques advance, a host of exciting growth opportunities are emerging. Lifestyle-oriented collaborations, such as fitness centers partnering with health food brands, are trending. The integration of technology is becoming increasingly crucial for crafting seamless brand experiences. More diverse co-branding partnerships that merge different sectors are being established, enhancing convenience and value for consumers. With sophisticated data analytics, franchises can better target audience segments and fine-tune their co-branding strategies to optimize performance and satisfaction.
Overall, co-branding in U.S. franchises is not just a passing trend; it embodies an evolution of collaboration focused on transforming consumer experiences and driving growth and profitability. The strategy highlights the potential synergy when two brands unite under a common vision, generating significant opportunities in the ever-changing franchise landscape.
Strategically executing co-branding initiatives promises not only to extend brand reach but also to build a resilient and innovative franchise model ready to adapt and thrive in the long term.

H&R Block Ad Man Sacked After Botched "Taxidermist" Campaign
Nivea said they'd cover part of the site design.
Save Your Skin.
I get it, I just don't think it makes sense for the brand.
Have you ever been to debtors prison, that travel size Nivea goes a long way.
March 15th that can only mean one thing.
Better get these files to the Taxidermist.
I'd be more on board with a tattoo parlor installation.
Woah woah woah cobranding, the site is already built.
You're fired.
Will there be henna tattoos?
It was a hypothetical example. Pay an advertising company to do the advertising so if it sucks you can fire them.
There is no advertising any more.
There is no truth in taxidermy. Read that on the side of a tea bag. Very thought provoking.
