Harvest time in the Newakot Valley, Nepal, just 60km from Kathmandu. Processing in Nepal is nearly all wet, done in micro lots. Only one or two large estates process coffee in bigger quantities. The majority of farmers in Nepal own small quantities of coffee (anywhere from 3- 30 plants). This leads to a wide variety in quality when processing during harvest season. Most dehulling is done on very old small machinery which can often cause damage to some of the beans. The 20/20 Project is working with communities to raise the quality of the post harvest processing in coffee growing communities. #climatesmartcoffee #coffeegram #coffee #himalayas #2020project #nepalcoffee #nepal #harvest #coffeefarmers #coffeeharvest #dehulling #coffeeprocessingtechnology #coffeeprocesing (at Kathmandu, Nepal)
