Imagine going with your parental!F/O(s) to the toy store!
They will help you to find your favourite toys. What do you like? Plushies? Constructors? Dolls? Toycars? House sets? Collectionable figurines? Or maybe you want some themed play sets? Like kitchen or doctor kit?
And also they can buy for you your favourite children books and colouring books!
Your parental!F/O(s) love to see excitement in your eyes, how you look at that toy and then they'll buy it for you because they cannot resist the urge to spoil their precious little one!
Oh, and on your way home you'll stop at the bakery/shop/cafe to buy some of your favourite treats because they love you so so much!
You will always be your parental!F/O(s)'s precious little one and they will always love you!
You'll come home and play and eat together, and after that you'll cuddle and your parental!F/O(s) will read you your favourite stories and then you will fall asleep and dream peacefully.

Common wisdom has it that Don Quixote includes within its pages a number of different forms of prose narrative. Cervantes’ interest in collecting different forms and genres may be due to the fact that collectionism was rising throughout Europe. The aristocracy would create cabinets of curiosities, or adorn their palaces with the best works of art. This was considered a mark of distinction. Cervantes, then, uses collectionism within one text: he displays Don Quixote’s library and he also moves through a series of genres, combining and changing them. By transforming the objects displayed he comes up with something totally new. Such is Cervantes’ metamorphic ability that today, even though books of chivalry are not read, his work remains one of the greatest classics of literature, not just in the West but throughout the world. Thus, chivalric texts are constantly collected in the novel, be it as books in the knight’s library or as episodes throughout the novel. The novel serves as a parody of this genre, which many have asserted had almost disappeared by the time Cervantes penned it. This is actually not quite true – recent discoveries have shown that such novels continued to be written, albeit remaining in manuscript. Furthermore, they were used for courtly spectacles. Thus, in collecting the chivalric, Cervantes is being doubly fashionable (and not at all out of fashion as some would contend). His book appropriates both the collectionist propensity of the upper classes and the uses of chivalry as a playful mode to assert authority. By turning these into carnivalesque episodes, Cervantes’ text both asserts and questions fashions and authority.
[…] While the chivalric represents a longing for idealized chivalric-aristocratic values, thus looking at the past, the picaresque points to the present and the future. It reflects a society where traditional hierarchies are put under pressure with the rise of individualism and with the development of a bourgeoisie that did not have aristocratic privileges. As Richard Bjornson asserts: ‘The situation was rendered more complex by the fact that the nascent bourgeoisie of fifteenth-and sixteenth-century Spain was largely composed of conversos (converts to Catholicism) with Jewish ancestors. Permanently alienated from the Jewish culture which they had abjured, as well as from the Christian one in which they had to live, these conversos could hardly escape an awareness of their own compromised identity, even if they succeeded in passing as Old Christians’ (1977, 17–18). For Bjornson, the picaresque rises from this anxiety and many of its authors are conversos – and so are their protagonists. As such, the pícaro stands in contradistinction to the idealized knights of romances and even to the more impoverished but still noble hidalgos. But the picaresque, although it may have been born out of bourgeois and converso writers, also focuses on the poor and their plight. Anne J. Cruz clearly pinpoints and expands the subject of the picaresque: ‘In a country where homogeneity was desired at any price such marginalized subalterns as the poor, criminals, conversos, moriscos and prostitutes shifted easily into the position of the Other, filling the void left by the leper’ (1999, xvi). These novels, then, were written as a critique of social mores and as failed attempts at reform. They may not have been received as such: ‘The authors’ critical thrust is nevertheless thwarted when the public, in order to insulate itself against social change, converts the pícaro to the risible category of the clown . . . transformed into the liminal position of scapegoat through the symbolic unconscious of the new nation-state’ (1999, xvi). From the start, then, Cervantes creates a clash of genres: the backwards looking and aristocratic chivalric vs the forward-gazing, critical, and polemical picaresque. This clash of genres reverberates with a clash of cultures and civilizations since the pure-blood Christian knight contrasts with the tainted pícaro whose ancestors may belong to a civilization that was warring with the West, Islam.

see now i'm wondering if his ring ID is the kind of person yi sang could have become if he didn't join limbus company. like he internalizes the thinking pattern of "i'm a fool and not worth a damn and everything i do only hurts people" and expresses that self-loathing via his art. eats drywall
OK SO. I TOOK SOME TIME TO ANSWER THIS ONE BECAUSE I WAS TRYING TO GET HIM FOR MYSELF. I don't even really play the game anymore and keep up with the story via YouTube but. Y'know just to prove a point basically and Virtual Yi Sang Collectionism while I find myself with too much free time again so you might have gotten to see it by yourself by now but. Still.
Actually looking into this with his story and all of his dialogue they really did just give him an actual Bad End ID like Nclair, Ahabmael and G Corp Gregor (with some variation of Erlking joining eventually? but I have no idea how that will work taking in count the plot aspect) since Spicebush Yi Sang doesn't really Qualify as one of those and is even framed as being empowering in a way for him taking in count its release was timed so it could be used in the Farmwatch fight instead of waiting for the end of the Season like the others. I believed that W Corp Yi Sang was this spiritually; since it depicts him at his lowest point imaginable following on the track he was on already and the themes of Canto IV perfectly though not related to it, but now Ring Yi Sang has shown us a much more connected, and much darker potential path for him. So I'll take this post as my chance to analyze this:
In regards to his self-loathing it's very interesting that he actually seems to feel a sense of pride not seen in any of his other IDs, talking about "what he deserves" and disregarding everything that doesn't cause him a reaction. He now uses creation itself as a way to fill the emptiness inside of him, while in the main story, Yi Sang's resolution was that his impulse to create was his way of connecting with others.
You can see that in these lines, where he has completely disregarded everything about life and other people, pretty much all of his dialogue revolves around wanting to create and he has only interest in what can inspire him, to the point he nonchalantly kills civilians for failing to make him feel that way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I feel like this is even expressed in the Sins for this ID compared to base Yi Sang, the set-up is the exact same; S1 Gloom and S3 Sloth. However, the one that changes is S2. Regular Yi Sang has S2 Envy while Ring Yi Sang has S2 Lust. Added this to Ring Yi Sang's passives even being fueled by Lust as well while base Yi Sang's are fueled by Gloom. I take this as a representation that he has taken this Lust, an obsessive desire, as being what will drive him forward throwing away all the self-loathing and regret, with many of his lines calling the past meaningless.
Now I'll tackle his story and do a rundown on it while giving my observation, as it ellaborates into this and what his mindset is (and frankly, it's utterly fantastic). First of all, we get a unique, dissonant track that so far seems to have never been used in any other instance in the game to my knowledge.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yi Sang's approach to his scientist position is very...unique, because he does so as an artist rather than more proper scientific people like for example Faust, Dongrang, Aseah and Gubo. People who simply want practical application and results, means to an end. Dongbaek seems to be the only person who shares this approach he has which is why their bond is treated as unique compared to the other League of Nine members. At his core, what fascinated Yi Sang so much about technology and sciences was simply the euphoria of discovery itself, finding new things. Which is tackled immediately when Ring Yi Sang's story begins as I am showing here.
With science, you never truly "create" anything, you go through right and wrong answers until finding something that works or causes some effect, he even says so himself in Canto IV. And he goes on to criticize his prior fascination with technology with this particular aspect in mind. Even more shockingly is that he calls the League of Nine's conferences a "waste of time" now, each of their creations predictable which could tie into him being a one-of-a-kind genius, which is also somewhat tackled in Dongrang's observation log. To him, everything else his friends made was child's play.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So instead, he looks towards what made him so fascinated with The Mirror in the first place, echoing this particular point he makes during his log for Dongbaek, both of them are driven to reach something abstract and inconcievable and ended up using technology as their path to that vague destination that can only be described in poetry.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And finally, he completely foresakes his past at the League. He even he believes he finally has his wings but calls them fabricated, and there is something obviously wrong with the entire thing on multiple levels. They are fabricated wings because he was guided to this conclusion by the hand of another, rather than the introspection throughout IV. His chapter title is "The Unchanging", and it's the only chapter where the trait assigned in the title to the focus Sinner is a positive; him staying true to himself and his ideals was the key, but he needed to actually move past his apathy and actually grasp them, but here he has completely changed beyond recognition. Turned arrogant, callous and utterly irrational, discarding all of his self-loathing by divorciating himself from the self that he hates, yet the Sloth—the apathy remains, instead of moving past it, fighting it back with his Lust in an endless cycle of dopamin chases while growing numb to everything else and even destroying it if it fails to satisfy that Lust so that it will, as shown as he kills failing students to take delight in their shock and agony.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But at the same time it frames that portrait of the League in his background art a completely different meaning. It is most likely that this portrait is a mockery of all of them, regarding the past and the life he lived until now including his past self with the same condescencion he does examinees that fail to impress him. Specially when you take in count how his own face is much more well-painted than the childish erratic strokes he assigns to the other, making them look ridiculous. But at the same time, Yeonsim is there under them, but flipped to its underside, he still held onto it but as far as we know it might be completely broken and only keeps it as part of his insulting work going by another of his idle chatter lines.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This dark inversion of Yi Sang's journey even before Limbus and Canto IV is also emphasized by Pointillism in particular being chosen as the subject for this ID, this was first pointed out by this Korean Twitter user (and fellow irl Yi Sang enjoyer going by the layout) in the original announcement for this ID:
Tumblr media
Of course, this theme compliments Yi Sang's resolution in IV pretty well. He loved the League and grew to love Limbus because they were his resting place. I can't find any translation of Jochunjeommyo however, so I can only rely on summaries and posts put through machine translation. But from what I can summarize, the story is about an artist who can't find a place to breathe and simply exist due to the materialistic, capitalistic nature of the city he finds himself in, which fits pretty neatly with Yi Sang's story as a whole.
I'd also like to point out how a less overtly unhinged variation of this kind of development is shown in his Dieci ID story (which I wanted to make a post on for a while because it really feels like it was preliminary to this and not enough people talk about how messed up Dieci Yi Sang actually is) and how he comes to adopt a mentality just like Ryoshu's, with her already being linked to The Fingers and knowing about their workings personally to the point she might have been affiliated at some point though we cannot confirm, however I will instead link to this post by my friend on the topic since they already did a dissection on how Yi Sang and Ryoshu act as ideological foils and they pretty much said it better than I could: https://www.tumblr.com/ishcliff/743271628518129664/so-any-thoughts-of-well-the-blade-lineage-itself?source=share
So that's all I've got for now! Honestly I am so over the moon with this ID and the potential implications going forward as you can imagine.

The fact I haven't played episode 7 yet has paid off 🗣️❗
I am so so so so so so SO very glad for this!! Everytime I see someone with an item from this pack I go crazy 😭😭🙏
It's not even because I "like it so much", I think I only like a couple of items, it's the collector side of me that won't leave me alone like I can't accept that I don't own everything I could possibly own in the game (collectionism is a curse, iykyk)
Only thing I'm hoping is that the amount of AP we have to spend is reasonable

'Keeping Up With Elbert's Collectionism' LINE Chat
Tumblr media
Elbert: Is this beautiful? <pic>
Tumblr media
...
Option 1
: I think it is.
Elbert: I picked it up a while ago... since you said it's beautiful, I think I'll stop searching for its owner.
Elbert: I'll keep it in my room.
<'thank you' sticker>
Tumblr media
Elbert: I'm in the garden right now. What are your plans for today?
Option 1 —
: I want to chat with you more, Sir Elbert.
Elbert: Me too.
< 'gladly' sticker >
Tumblr media
Elbert: Where shall we go to chat? The garden, your room, anywhere. Just not my room.
Elbert: When I'm talking to you, I sometimes feel like I might lose control of myself. ... I don't want to be unable to let you leave.
Elbert: Let me know when you're ready. I'll go pick you up at your room. ... I'll wait in front of your room door.
Elbert: (Voice Message) I want to chat with you more, and get to know everything about you.
Option 2 —
: I plan to go shopping. Do you want to come with me?
Elbert: ... Sure. To be honest, I feel like I'm not the best person to ask to go shopping with. Since you invited me to, I'll try my best not to be a bother to you.
Elbert: I'll try not to look at anything... because I'll want everything you want. If we get surrounded by a large crowd of people, I'll let you leave first... without me.
Elbert: It's only after I've sent that message, I realized how much that sounds like a dying wish. ... I'll be waiting for you at the entrance, so come meet me when you're ready.
Elbert: (Voice Message) It'll be alright. Leave it all to me.
...
Option 2
: Why are you asking that all of a sudden?
Elbert: I picked this up a while ago... I wanted to ask if you knew who this belongs to. It was in the castle garden, so it could belong to someone in Crown... maybe Roger.
<'?'sticker>
Tumblr media
Elbert: It doesn't look especially beautiful, so I'll just leave it on the dining table. ... Thanks.
Elbert: Have you seen any beautiful things recently?
Option 1 —
: Last night, saw beautiful flowers blooming in the garden.
Elbert: ... Were they white roses?
Elbert: I saw them last night too... and without realising it, I picked them.
Elbert: They must've been very beautiful if you thought so too, but... it looks like they were not what I'm looking for. The moment I brought them to my room, they wilted.
Elbert: If only I could look at this world through your eyes, it might make it easier for me to find what I'm looking for. ... That thought has been on my mind recently. I feel like... I can find an important answer that's hidden inside you. Next time, shall we head out together? ... I want to chat with you more.
Elbert: (Voice Message) Whenever I'm with you, I view the world differently.
Option 2 —
: Nope, I haven't. Shall we go look for beautiful things together?
Elbert: <'want' sticker>
Tumblr media
Elbert: Wrong sticker.
Elbert: < 'gladly' sticker>
Tumblr media
: I'm glad to do that too.
Elbert: Since you used to be a postwoman, you'll definitely know places in London that I've never seen before. I want you to tell me about everything that's caught your eye. For some unknown reason, I have a feeling that the thing I've been fruitlessly searching for might be found... in you.
Elbert: (Voice Message) Could you be that something I'm searching for?

Idk why but, I really want to talk about Dinotrux Biology and Trying explain that eating mess ;-;
Today I will only explain my crazy theory of the Dinotrux eating mess.
Since the first episode, it's explained the Dinotrux eat ore, but while the show keeps going we see, another eating habits, like rocks, and mostly like Metal.
First, we have to know what is edible and what is not.
In the episode magnet mountain, Garby have a idea how they could leave the magnet wall the trux were stuck, the idea was eat the magnet, but then he says "Magnets aren't edible"(for obvious reasons lol). What means they do not eat everything randomly.
accordingly to that. We can base on what Garby already ate in the show. That was Rock, Ore andddd METAL.
What implies the existence of "Metalvores" and basically means Metal is edible. Basically, Metal is their flesh. We never see any trux talking openly about eat metal, only sneakly beetween their script.
like:
In the episode Drillapedes
"The dominant gets first dibs"
"at what?"
"at us"
the episode Dyscrapadons
The mama is literally TRAINING her flock for chasing and preying a pterocopter.
And Let's agreed, the "predators" of the show actually collects metal, but for what? if they collect metal but eats ore, it would make like no sense, it would be a waste of energy on some collectionable. and Desert scraptors actually do embushes with volcanic ore only to collect metal? if they have such a big and the "most delicious" ore, why would they search for metal?
the episode where it gets more obvious is the Shredadon. The whole episode is about Shredadon eating metal basically. with obvious lines and especially when Shredadon trys to eat waldo but fail because of Ty.
"Whoa. You certainly have an appetite"-Ace
"oh, she let it eat her" -Waldo
"his breath smells like rust"-Ace
"that thing is looking at us kind of hungry again."-Ton-Ton
Anyway, now here is more than obvious there are Metalvores in Dinotrux world. what would mean all "carnivores" would should eat metal right? ...yes, but no. I did a list about which dinotruxes are metalvores or not.
the list:
Tyrannosaurus Trux (ates ore) Gluphosaurs(never seem eating ore, but clearly mentions to eating it) Sawmetradon(ates ore) Pterocopters(ates ore) Aquadon(ates ore) Shredadon(only eats metal, for what it seems) Dyscrapadon(never seem eating ore) Scrapadactyl(ates ore) Scraptor(never seem eating ore) Scraptool(tools are way more in omnivores cathegory but scraptools seems more focused on looking for scrap than others)
anyway. Here is the list of our supposed "Predators". has we saw, all of them(almost) eats ORE. what make us(or me) even more confuse. Buuuut we are going use Garby again. Our favorite Estegarbasaur eats Rocks, but he already ate ore, and somewhat like it(in this case it were S'mores. a combination of lots different ore togheter), and did like the Metal taste too, on the episode training, were he ate a dozen superchargers and say "these things aren't so bad, actually."
What means they can adaptate their eating habits to any of these, but of course there are consequences, like in the episode Ore run, when Garby system get jammed with the enormous amount of ore he ate.
What makes me get in a conclusion They ALL ates Ore, Rock and Metal. But each especies have their preference supposed with they biology, but it do not prevents they eating other edible stuffs.
And I already though, "why every dinotrux fear T-Truxes?" well it's not for the bad and agressive atitude for sure, or everyone would fear Dozer XD. Well tyrannosaurus rex were somewhat feared for some dinosaurs ( edmontosaurus and maybe feared by some younger Triceratops) cause' it's a predator etc, obvious. Now let's analyze Dinotrux. A similar thing T-Truxes shares with Scraptors are Digging abilitys and a keen sense of smell. has we seem, T-truxes are somewhat sneaky, like real tyrannosaurus, believe me or not, T-rex were actually a sneaky predator. Like we see Ty with his Shadow painting, when he cames to rescue Revvit, his engine is so silent, that even D-structs can't hear. INSIDE HIS OWN LAIR. Ty have a actually great hearing and great eye, being the first one to notice when somethings is wrong. in Desert scraptors Ty can precisely track click-clack UNDERGROUND. without mention the wrecking ball lol. and the "build to last" and "engine build for power", along with the quick thinking about plaining a ambush to catch pounder. ngl that moment I though
"Damn Ty plained a ambush so fast"
"..."
"OF COURSE! HE IS AN ADULT TYRANNOSAURUS"
XD anyway.
What would mean, that ore is the only more common edible material that can actually supply all needs. In the episode tortool, Ty said some materials that composes ore, that's Iron and Magnesium, there were more things, but Dozer cut him before he could say it. Anyway:
There are Preys and Predators, Metalvores, Orevores and Rockvores(and the omnivores), every especies have been build for eating a certain stuff of each category, but they can always eat other stuff that is edible. And for Metalvores, to not waist energy, gettin' dents etc, they tend to look out for ore, cause it's easier and it can provides all nutrients they need. It may cause some problems to addaptate, but it can works perfectly, so they would not need search for other Dinotrux around like hungry beasts. But ofc, some predators may not want to adaptate this ore diet and keeps looking for metal like dyscrapadons, shredadon and scraptors.
and btw goldtrux just said "fuck it, I Want gold". anyway, it fits into a rock/ore category tho. anyway, I actually need explain this mess for myself. I know it got confuse but it helps me organizate better my thinkings about it
lil meme hehe
Ty off screen:
