I spent a lot of time at lake Michigan last week and now I am at lake Champlain and like I know they are geologically young lakes unlike Baikal so we haven't had the time to develop them but it really just seems terribly unfair that our large lakes have no aquatic mammals in them. I kept looking at Michigan going "FREE REAL ESTATE" and today I kept imagining that logs in the water on Champlain are seals. Anyway, we need mad scientists to be developing small lake whales. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
My boss, cleaning their office: ok I think it's time to give back darth vader
(Darth Vader is 3 ft tall and stands in our office. He holds a pickle that yodels when you squeeze it. Our boss kinda stole him from another dept. It's a long story)
Me: EXCESSIVELY LOUD BUT TOTALLY INVOLUNTARY GASP !!!!!!
My boss: *stops, turns around, stares at me* ok, ok! Nevermind!! We'll keep him!!
Sometimes, an Orkney bro is characterized well. If you’re blessed, you’ll get 2, or 3! But you’ll never get ‘em all babe. Not at the same time. Doesn’t exist. I’ve looked.
It’s never just, “This one is perfect the others mediocre.” I’d honestly take that. It’s usually like “I like this one but the others are committing crimes you never fathomed.” Medlit-sanctioned murder against fellow knights whatever. I’m talking like depraved violence against animals, women, and children. Why the Orkney bros have become the scapegoats for author’s worst ideas I’ll never understand. You get into one blood feud now creators everywhere think you’re capable of anything (negative)! It doesn’t correlate.
actually when you look at the start of the season where Ted’s wondering if he’s still needed there, the best arc for him would have been to SEE everything they still have to do, to take not having won it all as a sign there’s more to accomplish, create new ties in the community or be reminded of how much his current relationships mean, how much more time he might want to reconnect with Nate or spend with Beard & Rebecca, etc., and to talk to Michelle about working things out to maybe see Henry more, because he is not stalled at Richmond, he’s just getting started. ideally with a theme throughout about how he doesn’t NEED to be USEFUL as long as he’s enjoying himself, that he needs to have his own fulfillment too, but that, yes, working more on the team is something that could give him that!!
