it's awful and a little bit rude how quickly he turns away from his laptop screen and toward you with his favourite wonky clay mug in hand, offering it to him with a shy smile. sorry, siri, we don't have any tea left. you don't have a clue he's on his laptop, you'd just wanted to make him something warm.

sirius jumps to reassure u even though he has a cool guy reputation to uphold. he takes the tea and gestures for you to lower your face, and it's not quite in view but anyone on the call can see he's raised his arm to touch you.

he cups your cheek in a ring-heavy hand rubs over your skin with a gentle thumb. it's only how he always touches you, like ur very delicate and special and sweet. it's so nice you throw yourself at him abruptly and hug him and he really really forgets he's on call, hand patting a steady rhythm into your shoulder. it's funny because everybody thinks that he's managed to mute himself but really there's just no talking happening. you cling to him and he rubs your back, and after a couple of seconds you move away.
