the mighty nein will always be that bitch (a party with a consistent (and coherent) moral stance, who even if they dismiss alternative perspectives take seriously what others have to say, and who are met with and accept the consequences of choices (good and bad) they decide upon with their eyes wide open)
#like sorry watching this finale is just making me want to rewatch the cr2 finale instead#because that was alllll about consequences and the choices characters make in view of and to cause them#the results of bells hells choices are not only treated as if they were not choices at all by the characters#but the narrative itself is the focus of this finale rather than how characters caused that narrative#and i get that in terms of c3 actually being a story of exandria not the hells. but there’s a lot missing in terms of justifying this#conclusion on the fiction level of. do the choices pcs and npcs make here make sense#and then the meta/above table level is like. what i wouldn’t give for a modicum of consequences for bh that depend upon their excepting#that they have free will.anyway. mn u will always be famous#unfortunately this finale does feel like you spun a wheel of poorly plotted fic trends and tropes#and shoved them into the dnd ap of the day#critical role#cr3#cr spoilers#mighty nein
