Delgado probably always has on some variant of massive brown work boots.Anne Marie alternates between round-toe black boots (laceup or zip-up) that go a bit over her ankle, black slip-ons, or black sneakers.Chrome and Fabian have the most variety and also the most in common? I feel like Fabian sticks to warm-tone brown leathers, especially lighter ones like copper and cognac, whereas Chrome is a lot more daring in both color and style. Like he’s the one you’ll see in gold oxfords and burgundy wing-tips and even crazier stuff. He’ll also sometimes wear shiny platform stilettos in black or red but those are a bit more rare because they’re painful. Also just about anything you can find in a google image search for “hipster boots”. Fabian is not rocking any high heels (which is unfortunate because I think he’d look great in them?) but he does include very tall boots that he pulls off pretty well because HE’S so tall, they don’t look like they’re cutting him in half.

He thought it would be okay, with Isadore leading him, but now that he’s there, standing on the stage in front of all these people staring at him, in his underwear and a collar and not much else, Billy freezes up.

It should be hot, all those people looking at him, watching him, but he just feels cold and embarrassed. He doesn’t want to let Isadore down, so he doesn’t let himself shrink or cover up, but he feels stiff and uncoordinated, and he’s certain it shows. The audience seems judging, cruel, hard eyes turned on him to find faults, to mock him.

Over the rush of blood in his ears, Billy can hardly hear a thing, Isadore moves around him and their hand is hot on his cold back, he shivers, trying to remember what he’s supposed to do, panicking. Isadore’s hand is on his throat, it moves up to his jaw, and Isadore gently turns his head, and looking into their eyes the vice around Billy’s heart eases, he lets out a tremulous breath and tries a smile.

“Sorry, I freaked out a bit,” he whispers.

“Thank you. Everyone seems so...happy. I haven’t seen people like this in a long time.” Alison took in everything inside the church. Isadore was being modest. This seemed more comfortable than many other communes she’d seen. 

When Isadore held up a hand to the women it struck Ali as a bit weird but she was soon distracted by her stomach’s gurgle of hunger at the mention of food. They’d rationed food on the journey. There was no telling if they’d find more on the way and getting as much back to the sanctuary as possible was a priority. She was eager to hopefully have a more substantial meal. Especially some fresh fruits and vegetables. 

The interaction with the young man left her with another uncertain feeling. Alison couldn’t figure out what he’d been trying to ask about her. She pondered it while following Isadore to their room. It was...cozy. In a way it made Alison feel safer. Less places for anyone to hide or sneak up on you. Keeping on her pack Ali addressed Isadore for answers. “That guy back there, what was he asking about me?”
