Pair of late Meissen Ornithological Comports each comport displaying on a central reserve against white ground a bird painted in multicolours sitting on a leafy branch. Each with an Osier border (basket weave pattern to both rim of comports and foot rim). The rims and base of comports painted with insects. Blue cross swords to both comports One comport is in perfect condition while the other has a rim chip 2cm across to which in the centre is seen a very faint white hairline crack that extends 7cm see close up photo.
