Ao Socks KAL

Hello lovelies,

How was your holiday season?

This year we kept ours very quiet, using it as time to rest, reflect, spend time together and just generally ... chill :D

I don’t do New Year’s resolutions, make nines (tried it once and it felt so limiting!) or choosing a word for the year. I just go with the flow and see where it takes me. What about you, do you have any rituals for goal setting and such? What’s your experience with them?

Knitting-wise, I did want to let you know about the very first KAL I am hosting, yay! You can join either on ravelry (here it the thread) or Instagram (using #aosocksKAL) or both!

Details:

- KAL will run until March 6th 2019

- we are knitting the Ao Socks. You need to finish both socks (one pair) to qualify for the prizes. The pattern calls for SocksYeah! by CoopKnits, but you can use any yarn you like

· WIPs and double dipping are welcome!

· Enter with as many FO’s as you’d like. The more FOs you enter, the more likely you are to win a prize!

· Use the hashtag #aosocksKAL for your projects on Instagram

I hope you’ve had a beautiful October, friends. It is definitely my favorite month of the year, not just because of the arrival of sweater weather, golden leaves and cool winds, but also as a time when I begin to feel more alive. Somehow October always works its magic and fills me with energy - which explains why I often feel that it goes by too quickly!

On the other hand, November brings silence and introspection, and woods stripped of their firey reds and golds. But there is a gorgeous, lush and ever green forest of firs near my home, stretching out for into the countryside, which I delight in. I sort of feel that we are all, on the inside, evergreens, ever growing.

But before I become too philosophical, I want to introduce you to the Ao socks.

I am honestly not sure if our firs inspired me to choose this colorway, or the yarn just magically matches the shades of the trees, but I am ever so pleased with the results :) If you are curious about the name, I invite you to read about it in the description here.

The Ao socks are knit toe-up (my favorite way to go!) and feature a slipped stitch pattern combined with ribbing that not only hugs your feet perfectly, but also makes them look more sophisticated than your regular ribbed pair. CoopKnits’ beautiful, soft yet sturdy sock yarn makes them extra special.
