Happy 6 months of Athena and I being on the road! My reflective thoughts: 1. Most people are good and want to help you, not hurt you. 2. Language is a barrier only if you let it be one. I’ve communicated with people each of us speaking our own language not knowing what the other said and yet we both understood each other. 3. Kaskade was right, the eyes are the window to the soul. They show intention, which is one of the most powerful traits. 4. New environments force extreme rapid growth that is painful, yet necessary. 5. Energy attracts similar energy. 6. A smile is an invitation and a gift that can be retracted as easily as it is given. 7. There are more strangers across the world that have similar mindsets like you. 8. Though some interactions are momentary, they affect and shift your character powerfully. I can probably list a thousand things, but those are the ones that come to mind. If you ask me what is my favorite thing is that I’ve experienced on this trip, I will give you the same response as I had on my Cali to Chicago trip: The People. Hello from the Corinth Canal Footbridge! My hostel mate and I may or may not have crawled under the metal fence and stepped on goat poop to cross this and reach this old bunker that looks like a Twinkie. And I may or may not be in a giant hole because I thought it was funny to take a picture like this 😹 Dude, walking around in full moto gear is exhausting! It feels like I’m 10lbs/ 4.5kgs heavier. One day I’ll weigh how much all this gear weighs. But for now, I’ll do what I gotta do. I am all for safety first and I’ll just push through the uncomfortableness.
