Can a heretic be pope?
From: "Sedevacantism Refuted? Some Common Objections" by Fr. Anthony Cekada, 2004:
Because he is the supreme legislator and therefore not subject to canon law, a pope cannot commit a true delictum of heresy or incur an excommunication. He is subject only to the divine law.
It is by violating the divine law through the sin (peccatum) of heresy that a heretical pope loses his authority — “having be- come an unbeliever [factus infidelis],” as Cardinal Billot says, “he would by his own will be cast outside the body of the Church.” (De Ecclesia, 5th ed. [1927] 632.)
The canonist Coronata explains: “If indeed such a situation would happen, he [the Roman Pontiff] would, by divine law, fall from office without any sentence, indeed, without even a declaratory one.” (Institutiones Iuris Canonici [1950] 1:316.)
So, all the canonical requirements governing the delictum of heresy need not be fulfilled for a heretical pope to lose his authority — his public sin against divine law (infidelity) suffices."

BOTD: Yellow-rumped Warbler
Tumblr media
Photo: Tom Wilberding
"Flashing its trademark yellow rump patch as it flies away, calling check for confirmation, this is one of our best-known warblers. While most of its relatives migrate to the tropics in fall, the Yellow-rump, able to live on berries, commonly remains as far north as New England and Seattle; it is the main winter warbler in North America. Included in this species are two different-looking forms, the eastern 'Myrtle' Warbler and western 'Audubon's' Warbler."

4 and 10!
4- any aquariums on your bucket list you’d like to visit? 。˚ 𓆝
yes !! ive heard a lot of super good things about montery bay aquarium , and the research coming from there is super cool ... i dream of their jellyfish displays .... also shoutout to seattle aquariums !! i went there in 2019 , and i still think ab it a lot, esp the seals on the pier !! ^^
10- tell me what aquatic animal(s) you think is severely underrated 。˚ 𓆝
not necessarily underrated and more so underesearched- but eirine lactoides, definitely !! i simply cannot find any research articles or info about their origins apart from the fact they were created under captivity in the 90's . i think we need to talk much much more ab them :3
Tumblr media
also the sea elephant !! its arguably better than sea angels- the worm on a strings of the ocean . theyre a super cool depsea creature that stays from 100-300m below sea level , but there isnt much research on them either :((
