I contributed a couple of post-it collages to the expo organised by coupee.org! It’s a project celebrating World Collage Day with about 3.000 post-its made by artists all over the world. They’ll be on view at De Krook until the 23rd of May. I accidentally deleted all the photos I took of mine apart from this one, so a visit to De Krook is the only way to see the ones I made, oops.

POST IT!

Deadline: Sunday, 8 May 2022. Three years after the World Collage Atlas project, COUPEE launches a brand new project for World Collage Day. A huge exposition of hundreds of small collages, made by artists all over the world. But to achieve this they need you to spread the word, and to make lots of tiny Post it collages. The submitted collages will be exhibited the weekend of World Collage Day at de Krook, Ghent, Belgium's public library and new tourist hotspot. Afterwards, a selection of the collages will be printed as Post-It blocs and the collection will be available for other expositions worldwide! MORE

Last visual letter for the project #kunstinafzondering (art in isolation) by Museum Dr. Guislain and Coupee Collage Collective, which connects 22 collage artists to mentally vulnerable people. It includes two collages and a handmade envelope with fragments of antique paper and photography for each participant.

COUPEE Collage Collective*

Brussels, Belgium. For World Collage Day 2018, Bram Antheunis and Brunhilde Borms invited twenty-four Belgian contemporary collage artists to turn the beautiful antique cell phone booths at the Brussels railway station into small art galleries. The response from artists and visitors were overwhelming, so they decided to turn their occasional activities into a more professional platform. COUPEE aspires to be a starting point in the discovery of the flourishing scene of Belgian contemporary collage art. MORE

Coupee Collage Collective at Verbeke Foundation in Kemzeke, Belgium through 5 April 2020. Young contemporary artists use collage as an art form in and of itself and are experimenting with new techniques, exploring the limits of the medium. For the BCC (Belgian Contemporary Collage) expo, Coupee and Verbeke Foundation joined forces, and selected eighteen promising and talented artists. By presenting their work at the Verbeke Foundation, old and new flow together and the century of the collage is being revived in a contemporary way. MORE
