I contributed a couple of post-it collages to the expo organised by coupee.org! It’s a project celebrating World Collage Day with about 3.000 post-its made by artists all over the world. They’ll be on view at De Krook until the 23rd of May. I accidentally deleted all the photos I took of mine apart from this one, so a visit to De Krook is the only way to see the ones I made, oops.

I’m currently taking a course in Flemish Sign Language and I love postcards, so when VGT leren announced a Valentine’s card drawing competition, I knew I had to participate 💌 This is the sign for “connected”. I didn’t win, but I’m still happy with how it turned out and I loved seeing all the other submissions! The winning card is super nice too so make sure to check that out 👀

A friend asked for a birthday card, but I knew it wouldn’t arrive on time. So I sent him some spam instead. Text on the back was inspired by a questionable message I received in my own mailbox, including the wonky spelling and grammar.

The past couple of days I’ve been making postcards and I decided to try a new technique for these: collage. Now I’m a little obsessed with it, even if the aftermath was a floor absolutely covered in paper scraps and clippings 😅

I’ve been submitting my graduation film to festivals and there’s a couple that require an actual poster. So voilà :)

I've been working on an animated short for the past year and next week my film "Consent" will be shown to the public! Starting at 14:00 you can pass by Dok Noord to check out all the films created by students of the Academie voor Beeldende Kunst. Here's two teaser images to give you an idea of the style I've been working in.

When travelling through NZ my boyfriend and I spent some time working at a vineyard. On a day off I sat down with my sketchbook to draw something I don’t usually draw - machines! This one was near our campsite; we were staying at a packing facility close to the vineyard that had its own campground for all the backpackers passing through.

Currently watching: season 4 of Fargo. I haven’t been watching a lot of shows lately (too many other things to do), but my boyfriend let me know there’s a new Fargo season, sooo... 🍿

Reading: I tend to keep starting new books, so atm I'm reading: - Mixing Work with Pleasure - Starting Point 1979-1996 (like I said, Ghibli binge) - The Lies of Locke Lamora (audiobook) - Climax Club - Duurzaam Tuinieren (‘Sustainable Gardening’) - De Komst van Joachim Stiller (‘The Coming of Joachim Stiller’, a reread of a favourite) I haven't picked up those last three in a while, but I'm not ready to give them up just yet.

Craving: lindy hop social dance. I want to dance my feet off somewhere other than my living room 💃
