for the hitman au: curious about mumbo's role and the role of redstone u spoke of mumbo possibly creating a noise-cancelling headset to drown out other people's minds while in public- the thought of redstone being able to affect such an ancient, otherworldly, powerful creature (???) such as a watcher is fascinating. to what extent does it affect the watcher? how powerful is redstone?

im curious as to how mumbo would end up working for the NHO too. (since convex n grian began to work for NHO under unusual circumstances) like, did he have a choice? did he apply for this job himself? and HOW he works for them. is he corrupt? has NHO corrupted him? does he let curiosity push him too far? (hcs8 mumbo was quite ruthless at times) or is he just regular old mellow mumbo?

i'm guessing he genuinely cares about his coworkers and is passionate about what he does, but idk your vision. also i understand if u dont wanna reveal too much or dont know a lot abt his character yet :D

and sry idk much abt convex n watcher lore but im very interested :3

i think it would be cool if Mumbo was able to invent a device that made it easier for Grian to focus without the watcher powers becoming too overwhelming,, I think maybe he could give Grian some sort of small device that could be worn like an earpiece (or even something like a pin or a bracelet) that could let out a high-pitched frequency that's able to disrupt the flow of information that Grian is subjected to with his sixth sense. It seems weird that modern technology could affect a force so ancient, until you remember that redstone is an ore mined from the earth and is technically just as old, if not older, right? 👀

I think what suits Mumbo best for how he ended up being a tech guy at the NHO is that he probably just.. applied to a job for someone who's good with redstone tech and ended up getting tangled up in things much bigger than he'd anticipated. Considering Grian and Mumbo are such good friends, I think they'd get along well despite the circumstances they're in. I don't think Mumbo is corrupt, he's a smart dude and definitely secretly disapproves of how the NHO handles some things but genuinely thinks his work is important because he can use it to help people. He's definitely not immune to getting lost in his research though
