hardest part of dealing w/ office workers is realizing that the root issue is not, in fact, a bug or some corrupted file. but just... them using the computer wrong.

because now we play a very delicate game of "why do they think it works like this" where the answers are:

1. software updated in a way that no longer allows their bizarre flavor of wrong to work anymore

2. they have never done this before and are playing it by ear

3. they are actively lying to me that it worked before and are hoping through sheer willpower they can force the universe to change in real time
