i'm once again back at the "trying to get a diagnosis" grind and like. debating whether it's worth the risk to just straight up say to my gp "hey i think i might have a connective tissue disorder and here's why"

I broke Sonic Origins so much it restored the old CD 2011 menu

#sonic the hedgehog #sonic origins #the game is utterly broken in the latest version #if you play Sonic 1 as Tails his physics are completely busted #and if you play Labyrinth Act 1 as Tails on Switch the game crashes #if you have an old boss rush save (from 1.x.x versions of the game) and hit continue on 2.0.1 the game will break #sonic 1 ended up in a constant loop of continue screen after continue screen #sonic cd broke so hard it opened the 2011 manual and restored the 2011 menu #sonic 2 sets you back with 0 lives and if you die you go into negative lives #and if you beat a boss it'll put you into level select every time you continue that boss rush file #i couldn't test sonic 3 because i messed that boss rush save #but even then s3k's boss rush is also broken #rings weren't carrying over between bosses #and lava reef's boss uses act 2's palette instead of the act 3 color palette #and the game also runs worse on PC now #this shit is beyond broken

#it seems like it's mostly highway and intersection stuff?#which is fine #i've driven on at least two highways a day for two years #because i live in the middle of nowhere #i do have to practice parking tho #i don't back into spaces i haven't once #i flubbed it on my first learners permit test #but it got forgiven because we just got finished nearly being crashed into by a student driver #and i was a little shaken

#personal #either i stick with it until it makes me sick or i let it terrify me into throwing parts of myself away. i guess.#was it a mistake to become a math major? because it feels like a mistake. not that anyone cares to help me #but after bad experiences with other things i couldn't continue with them. i understand why i made these choices #if i crash and burn i'll reconsider it all over again. but i'm sick of testing myself to see how much i can handle #horrible way to live.

#i am crashing so hard today lmao i was up until 2am after watching the episodes and feeding the baby #then baby woke up at 4. hand to wife go back to sleep. baby woke up again at 6. and then i was up.#and then i had the worlds most boring meeting from 8 to 9. this is usually when i would be getting the kids ready for the day #so instead my wife did all of it while i was in worlds most boring meeting #then at 10am. i had to be part of a panel interview for a new engineer #someone to help ME with MY work!#but the interview was a live coding session conducted by staff+ level developers. NOT automation engineers #and they were so fucking hard on this poor guy omg. this guy whose resume is fucking perfect #he seemed so nice too. and he did his best #but even a fulltime ios engineer would struggle to implement such a data structure #its totally unreasonable to expect it of an automation engineer #and i had to be on the side in our chat trying to defend this guy like. look. i wouldnt be able to do this either #and for my interview i didnt have to! i wrote unit tests for that data structure which was already implemented #they seemed surprised and asked who did my interview. like holy shit you guys didnt even check?#you didnt even think to yourself 'i wonder if the automation engineers use different interview problems'????? omg #anyway i didnt mean to vent so much about that but #im just saying. my dopamine is all fucked up today lmao i'm struggling y'all

On holiday with my in-laws since yesterday and my social battery is already almost entirely dead. I crash by 6pm even though I came out of my room at 11 today... Needing more and more “quiet time” and feeling like an asshole for it bc the in-laws refuse to understand how anxiety works

#i don't want to just complain but my god i'm exhausted already...#they wear me down in minutes. also i LIVE with them. must i go on holiday with them as well? it's just no break...#at least they left me and the partner alone for half the day but the second they got back i just crashed #everything is so loud. there's so much chaos. so much bickering. literally just existing in the same space makes my blood pressure skyrocket #i think i might be severely mentally ill lol. or i should get myself tested bc this loud noise sensitivity thing is getting so out of hand #the sounds aren't even what 'normal' people would call loud...#i just feel like complete shit today. just shit. and i hate my writing and my art and can't motivate. it's fun all around.#hormones really don't give you a fucking break huh. i'm off school right now it's supposed to be easy.
