Pathway through the Wilderness
I will make a pathway through the wilderness. “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:18‭-‬19 NLT All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus' precious name ! The context of the subject verses constitute a wonderful promise of God to the Israelites. And this is the promise of deliverance and restoration. If we could see few verses back, we could know that God is reminding the Israelites of the great and mighty works that He did for their fathers. Yes, how the Almighty God brought the Israelites out of the land of Egypt. How He made dry path in the waters of the Red Sea and sank the Pharaoh's army with their chariots and horses. Are not these mighty works of the Omnipotent God ? All the above are the former things that God did for the Israelites with His mighty power. And what He is going to do now shall be greater than the previous ones. Therefore, God asks them to forget all those and look out for something new which He already begun. And this is the deliverance from the Babylonians and restoration to the land of Israel. Deliverance and restoration The Almighty God says that He will make a pathway through the wilderness.
