* My hubby found this hummingbird nest in our backyard a while back and I've kept it in remembrance of my Mom who passed in 2018. She loved Hummers and would keep a feeder outside her living room window so she could watch them feed as she sat in her favorite chair. I miss my Mom, yet I feel her all around me. I know she's near because the hummingbirds are here to remind me. The end of a year always causes me to pause and reflect and introspection helps me stay grounded. * I've been taking what I thought were just a few days off to stitch and rest. I'm amused at how time goes by unnoticed by me when I'm wrapped up in threads and fabrics. When I'm instinctually stitching, it feels as though time ceases to exists. It's a lovely feeling. I'm a #littlebookworm getting lost in the stitched and painted pages of my #littlebooks filled with color, #textures and #instinctualstitching Here is a little book I made in 2019. I love my red painted fabric cuz red is my favorite color and the white #instinctualstitching makes a beautiful contrast to the red. I hope you're all well and being aware of whether you may need a break too. It's ok to take care of you. I'm grateful for all of you and the support you've so generously given me over the years.
