Rule the Quiet (Izzy's Fallen Crest of Ignorance's Song)

IZZY'S FALLEN CREST OF IGNORANCE'S STORY

During the following events of the episode, Izzy hears a voice which accuses him of being greedy when it comes to knowledge, and demands that he give up his curiosity. With no other options, Izzy gives in, and enters a trance-like state. Moments later, he and Tentomon are floating through endless space, and the mystery voice reveals itself as the Big-brained Digimon, Vademon, telling Izzy to forget everything. Tentomon's attempts to bring back the old Izzy fail, as Izzy pushes him away and focuses more on Vademon's guidance and tutoring. Meanwhile, DemiDevimon offers a piece of his curiosity to Vademon in exchange for Izzy's crest. Back in endless space, Tentomon has de-digivolved to in-training form of Motimon and he de-digivolved to his weakest form, Pabumon.

But, his Crest of Knowledge turned into his Fallen Crest of Ignorance as Pabumon digivolves to Motimon, to Tentomon, to Kabuterimon, and he digivolves to Kuwagamon as Izzy was still in trance-like state. And, at long last, he got what he wanted. He pushes Tentomon away an hour ago and he had a moment of silence..

For the first time since he was young Izzy was excited for his future. He could finally seen himself again. Until Tentomon has de-digivolved to in-training form of Motimon and to de-digivolved to his weakest form, Pabumon and tears flooding in his eyes. No, no, no! He’d done everything right, finally everything was as it always should’ve been. He wouldn’t go back, couldn't go back. And in his agony a new power emerged...

my Digimon partner's digivolution line would be:

Zurumon;

Pagumon;

Gazimon;

Devidramon;

Cyberdramon; and (whenever we matrix digivolve whilst she's in her Gazimon form)

Mugendramon/Machinedramon.

She'd be fem and her nickname would be Hōska (pronounced "hooska" & rhyming with "yoo-ma"; the ō is a stretched out o', not an ou), meaning Shadow, coz our 1st interaction consists of me looking at her shadow whilst she (in her Zurumon form) keeps rushing around all over the room & hiding. She's mischievous, often pulling practical jokes, and self-confident to the point of arrogance. Meanwhile, I'm quiet and humble to the point of lacking self-worth; this contrast between us causes friction often. However, we bit by bit grow closer as both of us improve at communication during our adventures and learn from each other. Although I'm nearly tech-illiterate, I study hard during our adventures (mostly due to my enjoyment for learning) to become good at handling various types of computers both to satisfy my own curiosity and to help Hōska in any way I can. Where she's creative & thinks of tactics mid-battle; I'd read factual books & write notes in order to use my research to help me figure out ahead of time strategies for any fight we know or suspect are gonna happen, Hōska's spontaneous cleverness filling out any holes my pre-made plans have since I of course can't see the future. Both of us are gluttons for food and new experiences, so we bond over those traits half the time.

Poor Sora ends up with so many hang ups surrounding her crest. I want to hug you, precious child. I also really like the reassurance Taichi gives her in the conversation. Most of it being the right thing to say to a friend that would be worried.

...... word-of-god saying that miranda sees freckles as very attractive. she's deeply into freckles. partially it might be because she's an abyssal and they look a little like her bioluminescence, partly because merfolk find striking patterns on the extremities and other particular parts of the body attractive, but mostly this is just part of her personal taste and something shes into.

With most of the Church characters, the commoner / noble starting classes feel like more of an aftertought than anything. Because in addition to Alois, Seteth & Flayn both have the noble class (? why ? they clearly aren't nobles ? Did they feel like they couldn't put "commoner" on the Nabateans ???)

I think the only case of discrepancy that could have a cool / interesting explanation is Petra having the commoner base class : her status as princess is not recognised by Adrestia, as she is a political hostage ?

Mercie too is a commoner, even if she was an Adrestian noble -

But given how she ran away from her dad and her adoptive one is not a noble it'd make sense that she would have been registered as a "commoner".

For Seteth'n'Flayn, maybe it's more or less to explain that they are "special people" in the Archbishop's immediate circle, thus more or less considered and seen as "nobles" rather than commoners, but fwiw, especially in the Church, it doesn't amount to a thing.

In the rest of Fodlan though, maybe due to their perceived link to Rhea, they are treated like nobles?

5 years later, and I still can't fathom how the game(s) completely elude the background of the Nabateans and their paperthin disguise to pretend to be common and totes regular "humans".

They don't have surnames, they don't have any "made-up" backstory like being born and raised in a remote church or whatever, hell Rhea's backstory - as the Archbishop! - isn't developed at all and we had to wait for Nopes to get confirmation that she periodically fakes her death to appoint a new persona as her successor, because her title isn't hereditary...

How did this even manage to work, idk - but then their horrible dyejob was enough to convince humans that the Saints were totally not the people with green hair and pointy ears Nemesis'n'pals butchered a few decades ago.

So it's just a big "idk" and/or another proof that the devs dgaf about Nabateans because even writing this down makes me realise that if you want to get a plausible enough backstory/background/cover story for them, you either need to rework Jeralt's entire story or write Fodlan people to be extremely gullible, but with the conspiracy theories going on in the game it isn't coherent :

Manu believesthe Monastery is set between the three countries for a ReAsOn - but won't comment on Rhea's eternal youth, or how she looks like the other Archbishops, only Hanneman muses on Seteth's age while inquisitive!Sylvain is only puzzled by the resemblance between Rhea and the blonde lady from his stepmom's painting (granted, he is at war so maybe coming up with weird theories isn't on his priority list).
