Do you know what grinds my gears? When religious people, particularly the ultra-hypocritical judgey types, get butt-hurt when someone proclaims "Jesus Christ" as an expression of shock, anger, exasperation... Etc.

The fact that they feel the need to derail whatever conservation is being had to make everyone focus on them and their pearl-clutching.

Crime Code is a combination of a criminal quest and a detective simulator with sharp plot twists and vivid characters. A young detective investigates intricate cases, bringing to light terrible secrets of the city dwellers.

You ever notice how people who use the terms "woke" and "snowflake" are the most easily offended - especially when you make fun of their magical beliefs?

My parents, who I just got off a heated call with, went from calling liberals a bunch of easily-offended snowflakes because of... Getting upset by racial and gender-related slurs to pearl-clutching over the fact that I equated their god to Santa Clause (not the most eloquent or creative comparison, I know, but this was a heated argument). They told me that I was being disrespectful to their beliefs.

So I doubled down and told them if they really cared to catch groomers they'd start looking inward to the rampant pedophilia within their church and that if they spent more time reading a book or two instead of wacky conspiracy news and FOX that maybe they'd understand how their world view is completely fucked.

I finished by telling them that when I have children, they will never set foot in a church or be left alone with a priest and that if they went and did this behind my back they would never see their grandchildren again. This struck a nerve with them that essentially ended the conversation.

I clearly should have approached this all in a better manner, but I'm sick of this shit. How can they go from spewing hatred to getting offended when their opinions are challenged.

Does anyone else have similar family dynamics? How do you deal with conservative Christian parents?
