The moment seemed slow. The way Ciri's head tilted upwards and bright green eyes meet Kassandra's. Another simple pause before Ciri smiles. She raises her sword, plants it in the ground, uses it to stand up. "I don't get out much anymore, I have a duty to the Empire. Yet, the past couple of times I have been. You were here. What does a Griffin and Werewolf have to do with a stranger like you?" And, as if on cue, there's a howl in the distance.

HAD THEY BEEN TOTAL STRANGERS MEETING FOR THE FIRST TIME, Kassandra would’ve found those green eyes to be... enchanting.  Not that they lost their appeal to her by now, they never had. There’s just more familiarity to them at this moment, it sort of gave her the feeling of home. Old, everlasting friendship-- with the possibility of something more growing under the surface. Lips curl up, lazily, in a shared pleasant smile and Kassandra’s head cocks, just slightly. A hand draping over the hilt of the sword at her hip, and the other tossing the Spear of Leonidas up in the air, and catching. Repeat. Just an absent-minded habit. Before she simply holds it down by her side.

No need to offer Ciri a hand, really. Why would she-- when there’s just something appealing about the ivory-haired Empress using her sword to help herself up. Kassandra’s initial response was a chuckle flowing from her mouth, but before she could give a proper answer... they’re rudely interrupted by the howl and she sighs. Brown eyes flick back to Ciri as she shrugs TOO nonchalantly. Like a veteran hunter not too concerned with the approaching danger.  At least not yet.  “Mm, I suppose we can go find out. Though I have to say, I don’t think they can handle my company.”  Now there’s that trademark confident smirk on her face.
