Okay so, I'm currently working a rewrite/au of the series. I would really like to use your designs for it since, 1. I love them and your art is amazing and 2. because I would like for the cats to be (mostly) genetically accurate. One of the changes though that I have decided to make is making Squirrelflight and Crowfeather the three's (technically four since I've decided to lump Breezepelt into that litter) parents. But I've also decided that they're both trans. Squirrelflight is a trans cinnamon classic tabby x black chimera (genetically cinnamon classic tabby) molly and Crowfeather stays the same as in your design but he's AFAB. The question is, would the designs you have for the three and Breezepelt still check out genetically with these changes?

There is a big issue that pops up and it's called Lionblaze.

Squilf is genetically cinnamon, which is a variety of black. As she's AMAB in this case, she doesn't decide the color of the AMAB kittens in the litter. But Crow is a black smoke, genetically black, and as he's AFAB he "decides" all color of AMAB kittens and half of AFAB kittens.

Hollyleaf: perfectly possible, also for my design. Black smoke

Breezepelt: also a black smoke, so possible

Jayfeather: As long as Squilf and Crow both carry dilute (which they do in my genetic family tree) and since Squilf is a tabby it's 100% possible to have a grey tabby. The pointing is a bit harder but it's ressecive so making the parents both carriers is easy. I do draw him with pretty high white spotting compared to Crowf so you will need to give Squilf some white spotting too.

Now, Lionblaze. With this coupling he can't be red, as Crowf isn't red. Possible solutions:

1) making Crowfeather wideband beneath the solid smoke, thus making Lionblaze a wideband/golden tabby

2) making Crowfeather a tortie, but I don't think that works with the rest of his family?

3) Making Lionblaze amber. Amber is recessive (if I remember correctly) so technically possible, just a lot of "haha secret ressecive gene!"-ing required

4) Making Lionblaze, and my extension Squilf, Carnelian. I'm choosing to sacrifice Squilf here as her color is already canonically identical to a heterozygous Carnelian cat. This way Lionblaze is still genetically black, but we can bullshit a somatic mutation that made him ecec instead of Eec like Squilf. This does mean that you have to let the Carnelian travel up the family tree, either heterozygously or homozygous. My suggestion would be Squilf as Eec, Leafpool as the same, Fireheart as a ecec (it does make him look flame colored!) with Jake also being ecec but Nutmeg being Eec.
