ah, so.

back in december, when chestnut and pudding were released. crupdates made a very awful comic about chestnut that was essentially a retelling of the little matchgirl. i've talked a lot about how bad chestnut's costume is, and also how poorly this idiotic fanbase responded to it. under no circumstances should you be gleefully creating content in which a child dies.

not only did they do that, they had the fuckin' audacity to say this

don't use a child dying to elevate yourself to some moral high ground and preach about being "charitable to those less fortunate."

i'm extremely sensitive to the topic of child harm, and like this kinda shit upsets me deeply. the whole deal with chestnut being a homeless orphan and THEN devsisters giving him a costume based on the little matchgirl and THEN the fanbase constantly creating content that displays chestnut either dead or dying is. fucking disgusting to me. he's a KID what is WRONG with you. this isn't your fucking "angst fuel" or whatever. it's just distasteful

and the fact that crupdates used this comic to appear as some moralist is ESPECIALLY disgusting to me. you can say "be charitable" without prefacing it with a comic about a little kid freezing to death.

temperature blanket success w/ a close up on my border!!!! i forgor to take pictures of the last few months individually but idc because it's DONEEEE im really happy with it and i do not think i will do one again any time soon or if i do it'll be for a historical year so i dont have to commit to such a long project but i am placing this blanket right on my bed at this moment and will be using it HENCEFORTH

temperature blanket square for June!! I'm quite far behind bc I was away from my yarn from the end of July thru to now so I'm catching up hehe... this may be the only instance of my warmest colour (dark pink) bc it was an average of 20°C that day but that is very rare this far north... ANYWAYS
