Wolf induction behavior

We got a 1/2 wolf induction and 1/2 wolf gas range for our island.

Here is what i noticed on the induction if it starts (normally default?) full power it blinks and doesn’t recognize the pan.

If i start it low power it connects, than i can cycle up

Is that normal?
