Perhaps another reason I’ve been thinking about this is today I reread another one of my stories that I haven’t looked at in a while and now have some distance from and I was like holy shit this fucks! I was cooking, I served… why can’t I always write like this?? But I suppose I also felt a bit cringy with this one at first too… so who knows, maybe I can come back to LS after I finish it and the answer (if there is one) will be more plainly obvious! Overall I think I did a good job with it and it does what I set out to do… it’s just that one thing :)

If I may critique myself a bit, one thing I would improve about Liminal Spaces if I could is the beginning of the story… I don’t know if it comes off this way to others but to me it’s a bit stiff/clunky and idk if it’s because of the lack of dialogue or just the prose not working quite right for the pov/setting or what it is, exactly… whenever I read over the story again I read that first little thematically relevant bit about the stairwell, but then after that I usually wanna skip straight to Zagreus’ first conversation with Achilles, which to me feels like a bad sign haha. But at the same time I’m not really sure what it needs/how to fix it, or indeed if I should fix it, even. The rest of the story for the most part works for me just fine and isn’t all that much different I don’t think, so idk.
