You're sitting in his lap as he's filing a report. He's got his arms wrapped around you from the back, chin resting on your head. His eyes are half-lidded, both from exhaustion and his love for you. Every now and then, he leans down to give you a little kiss. You can feel his love for you against the small of your back.

Donald:

You're also sitting in his lap, but you're facing him. You're melting in his large figure, his fat squishing against you. He's flustered, looking off to the side as he hugs the ever-loving shit out of you. The result of his crush on you mixed with all his stress is, very apparent.

Sinclair:

The most flustered out of all of them. Refuses to look at you, but will NOT loosen his grip on you either. His hold is almost possessive, like he's scared something's gonna steal you from him.

Smithy:

He's got his arms stretched to wrap around you so many times you are bundled up. There's no way you're getting away from him. He's smiling brightly, grinning even. He squeezes you, nuzzling his head in the crook of your neck.

This has been on my mind for awhile, but Mark x platonic ride or die bestie headcanons. I just feel bad for him yknow? Home boy/girl/babe is ready to rock the next enemy’s ****shit**** if they make things a smidge stressful for him or his loved ones. But is also simultaneously very considerate/sweet in their own dumpster-fire way. No matter what dimension, what decision, what future, they’re there because they care. Oh imagine them being like an older sibling figure to Oliver or later on Uncle/Aunt figure for Tara!

Okay so here's where I tell you all my shameful secret:

I had one of those etsy accounts where you pay to get a letter from a fictional character in middle school...

I made like over a thousand dollars with it before deactivating it for school reasons. and that's how I'm so well versed in getting into character. Is I used to get paid to do it.

My one tip is to-- obviously-- understand the character. But not from their perspective, from YOUR perspective. You have to get it and find a way to be them that is still you or else it's too unnatural and you feel cringe

Which is why when you-- tall ass feisty ass chomping-at-the-bit Y/n-- came into his life, you clicked instantly

except you were both Mark's protector AND his geography tutor

"Shut the FUCK UP." You stop, holding him sternly "Eve is going to HATE YOU for this. Get the fuck out there and let me handle things here." your face softens "I'll make sure these pigs don't touch her."

Powerless though you are, this brings him enough comfort to agree to go back to fighting

Eve can't thank you enough for this when she wakes up weeks later

Mark has a lot of power imbalance issues

it's good that he has someone so staunchly opposed to him who loves him so much

but you're not here to corral Mark into what YOU want him to do

"Y/n, I don't know what to do, Cecil won't stop using D.A Sinclair and Darkwing- but they're murderers! How can he expect me to just work with them?!"

You took a long sip of your sweet tea, perched comfortably on your gaming chair

"I mean, I don't know, Mark. They seem under a tight leash, and doesn't everyone deserve a chance to make up for what they did?"

Mark nods in appreciation, his soles hitting the ground when he didn't even realize he was floating

"You know it, man. I'll overthrow a government for you any day. Your powers, my smarts-"

Was a vegetarian for two years of high school before realizing his type is jocks and he can’t eat meat and not eat meat

Puts a lot of pressure on himself to be the “palatable” gay, and spent a few years being the “girls twink best friend” from this, or he would’ve if he wasn’t already best friends with Mark

Is lactose Intolerant, and will eat/drink it anyways, BUT he’s responsible and carries those dairy pills on him

Dude has asthma, but it was wayyy worse in middle school, he hasn’t had an attack in a while but he still keeps an inhaler on him

Type of bitch to talk through a movie AND be playing candy crush on his fucking phone

Likes to make out with you in his car

He has an overbearing father who likes to interrupt you guys at his house soooooo

His favorite dates are taking you swimming

Likes to sit on your shoulders at the pool

GREAT cook, makes you food constantly when he has the money

Besides being a fan of character X reader, is there any other Invincible ships you like? Like, Mark X Eve, Mark X Rex, Monster Girl X Rudy, Cecil X Donald, Cecil X Debbie, Nolan X Allen?

I’m a passive shipper, I guess? I don’t care for Rae X Rex purely for plot reasons, it’s a drag on the pacing and I wish Rex just. Had female friends? Or any friends?

I wasn’t aware Cecil X Debbie OR Nolan X Allen were things until just now, and uh fuck yeah sure why not absolutely. They sound like they have interesting dynamics im on board

My biggest hot take is I don’t care for Eve x Mark RIGHT NOW. I fear their relationship is watering down the things I love most about each of them. Idk why but Eve’s character takes a backseat when she’s supporting Mark. I can feeeeeeel her becoming a supporting character and not one of the main cast like ugh fuck me iove Eve so much I cannot see her be relegated to the girlfriend role- even if she’s a kickass girlfriend

That being said, their date montage was cute.

I want Amanda X Rudy because I’m selfish and want them to be happy and I just want good things to happen to them. No deeper meaning the heart wants what the heart wants.

I can’t back Donald X Cecil solely because I kinda hate the “right hand man” dynamic. It. I get Hamilton war flashbacks to Hamilton X Aaron Burr? I’m sorry that’s solely a me issue I don’t mind if you ship it

Rex X Mark is silly or wtv, it gives Mark something interesting to do but it begs the question: is he coming out as gay/queer? I refuse to believe William didn’t know before Mark did. Fine! Present me the queer Mark agenda, I’m all for it! But you HAVE to give me “William snobbishly pulling an ‘I knew all along’l shtick or else I don’t care much. Rex reminds me of Alex from sdv in this regard, evil gay men rights ftw

That being said, I’m not terribly into writing for ships UNLESS a compelling ship and prompt is delivered to me. Don’t be afraid to request a ship, but don’t be surprised if I don’t do it.

Bonus: my favorite crackship/rare pair is D.A. Sinclair x Darkwing II. They seem about the same age and I think it would be hilarious. Chaotic neutral X Lawful Evil ftw
