I am Dr. Kiren Dhillon met my now fiance Mayank Kapoor on Instagram, we fell in love without meeting each other in person and have been in a long distance relationship since 2015. We are currently residing in Dublin, Ireland but decided to have an intimate destination engagement ceremony in Delhi because we planned our first meeting in this city on the 19/01/2016 – almost 9 months of dating online!
My outfit was selected by my fiance and I was pleasantly surprised by his splendid taste. I designed our belgian chocolate with strawberries cake that had the exact replicas of the both of us on it – same outfits, mine had a stethoscope and a crown since I’m a doctor by profession and a former Malaysian Beauty Queen. My fiance, Mayank’s had a laptop in one hand and a dumbell in the other depicting his profession and passion. I also requested for a Personalised Mehendi design that included our hobbies, profession, hashtag, his surname and my beloved country. My mom surprised us by getting our nicknames written with henna on her hands as well. Our engagement rings were designed by us from scratch as well since we had a clear idea of what we wanted and did not want to compromise on the quality of the Solitaire.
Planning an engagement within 3 days in an unknown country was no easy feat but browsing through local wedding websites/ nstagram accounts did help us to finalize the vendors to pull this off. We kept the ceremony small and invited around 200 guest. We had a pre engagement, a day before and post engagement party, a day after as well since everyone was on a vacation and in the mood to celebrate. We are glad to share that we did let loose and dance dance the night away with our loved ones!
A beautiful engagement ceremony with the cutest moment captured, love how the bride to be’s smile is constant and the groom looks super happy altogether.

The groom safas are highly underrated, a safa can enhance the whole Groom Look. With a safa you can become a hero from a zero. Without a safa it seems something is missing, so don’t ignore that turban on your head it is a must for every groom to be. Why even miss out on that one thing that might look too small but can only add on to the overall look. Have a look at some great safa styles we spotted at weddings.

After a courtship period of 2 years when Nikita, a public health professional and Parikshit, a chef decided to tie the knot, they wanted to have a traditional Peshwai themed wedding but keeping in pace with the 21st century.
This modern day wedding had female priests performing the ceremony, vows that the couple took not only for each other but for the well-being being of society, in which not only the groom gave the mangalsutra to the bride , but the bride also gave a golden chain to the groom (signifying the equality in the relationship). The Rukhvat had hand-made items and a poem dedicated to their relationship by the bride.
Barring these much required modern tweaks, everything else right from the invitation cards, decorations, costumes, entry of the bride and groom to the food was traditional Peshwai style.
A wedding that knew how to remain in touch with its roots with maintaining pace with the contemporary world. Traditional decor with marigold and mango leaves reminded us of classic Indian wedding. Modern bride that knew equality is the core of any relationship really grabbed our attention.Outfit by:| Makeup by: | Photography by:

They say that some bonds defy time, logic and distance. We, Meghna Bhutra and Aishu Khandelwal had never expected to end up together forever as well. Having been close friends since childhood, we’ve always stayed in touch despite living in different parts of the world. But neither of us were prepared when serendipity hit us, and our families decided to give us a shot at a fairy tale. There was no looking back after this and everyone around can only vouch that they have never seen us happier.
Our wedding took place at Sheraton, Hua Hin, Thailand on 14th February 2019. It was a 3 days affair where all our closed ones were there with us celebrating and dancing all day and night.
Not being a professional fashion designer but a home-maker, my mother invested all her time, energy and effort in making my Entire Trousseau and 6 bridal outfits. Words are not enough to explain the beauty of the emotion felt when I wore those outfits in my wedding functions and the memories attached with each outfit of my trousseau. It was a priceless gift any mother can give to her daughter. Since she is so good at it, I have pursued her to start her own venture and finally she has begun it in the name of Simona- The Wedding Stop. Such beautiful outfits and a talent like this need due recognition.Bhaat| Venue: | Makeup:| Mehendi|Venue: Makeovers by Sejal|Pool Party| DJ: Krish Event |Reception outfit by: Sulakshana Monga |Phototgraphy by: rish Event

I am a happily married bride from Bangalore, met my husband on Orkut 10 years ago and fell in love with him, married him on 22nd April 2019 in our first Holiday Destination – Goa, in a vintage luxury villa with only 80 lovely guests in the backyard of the villa, chilling and cherishing every moment of our life & our marriage. Best part- it was a cross cultural wedding, my husband is a north Indian & I am a south Indian. Despite the language barriers & cultural difference we had a great time getting married and making life time promises and commitments with each other.

I recently got married to my long time love Boney Kakwani. We had our dream beach wedding at The Lalit, Goa. Watching all the rom-coms growing up we wanted to have western Wedding Functions with our traditional ones. We started with mehendi, the next function was beach side white ring ceremony then came the traditional sangeet. The three day started with yellow themed haldi & chooda, with a floral baraat going to the beach , we had our pheeras at the beach at sunset. A ball room themed ” first dance” cocktail was enthralling. Finally to wrap up the wedding the traditional way a grand reception in our home town was conducted. We both choose completely different looks and outfits for each function. We really thought everything through, as with all the ups and downs with dating for 8 years we wanted a perfect Sindhi-Punjabi wedding and yes it was beautiful.

1.About you both. Some interesting story let us know. If not just one liner about you both as a couple.
Viraj steals a line from F. Scott Fitzgerald when he thinks of his relationship with Gopika. “She’s the beginning of everything” and adds, “she’s the big bang of my existence, quite overwhelming, indomitable, a touch scary at times, I’m incomplete without her.” Gopika sums it up pithily: “Viraj is my soulmate.”
2. How did you and your now spouse plan the wedding, walk us down wedding planning memory lane?
Viraj has always been a little alternative, while Gopika is very mainstream. So we mainstreamed alternative: a wedding that brings to life the magic of two different worlds meeting. Viraj is from a liberal, academic background–Malyalis, Bengalis and Goans scattered across the world, while Gopika is from slightly more traditionalist Punjabi Brahmin stock, but they are an extremely open-minded, gregarious, and large-hearted family.
In Viraj’s family, court marriages, with little of the theatre of Punjabi weddings, were the norm. Viraj, however, thought it would be a lot more thrilling to do it the Punjabi way. So Gopika’s family (led by her two formidable aunts, Rohini and Radhika Bhushan, the matriarchs of the household) took charge of the wedding arrangements. They meticulously planned and executed the whole wedding. Radhika maasi wrote, composed and sang the jaimala for her beloved Gopika. Gopika’s bridal entry, to the soundtrack of Radhika Masi’s jaimala, was one of the highlights of the wedding; she was wearing a 14-feet long peach Bridal wear, held aloft by her bridesmaids; her twin brother, walking by her side, held a satin umbrella above her. Rohini maasi ensured the food and cutlery were of the highest standard. She also helped pick out Gopika’s attire and oversaw the bride’s makeup, outfits, hair, etc.
3. What was your wedding dream/vision for your functions?
Gopika wanted a fairytale wedding. “I wanted it to be magical, beautiful, peachy,” she declares. “That’s really original, Gopika” Viraj teases her. “I like Peachy though. Life should be peachy.” And so it was, Magical, beautiful, and distinctly peachy.
4. Vision behind choosing the wedding outfits.
We had three sets of outfits. For the Sangeet, Gopika looked stunning in a blue, Cinderalla gown and Viraj wore a majestic quilted blue bandgala. For the mehendi, Gopika wore a purple Sabyasaachi-style lehenga, and her dashing partner turned up, slightly late and hungover, in kurta, pants, and an orange Nehru jacket. Finally for the wedding, we picked outfits that reflected our image of the perfect wedding: regal, but not garish, classy not ostentatious, and elegant, not overdone. Viraj wore an intricately printed ivory Sherwani. He didn’t carry a sword, because he bats for love not violence. A Kalgi on his salmon pink Banarasi silk safa and an elegant golden brooch lent his attire a royal aura. Gopika chose a double-shaded velvet lehenga that progressed subtly from shades of lavender/pink to wine. Her jewelry was drawn from her family’s tijori: her grandmother’s magnificent kundan set (choker and earrings).
5. Looking back is there anything you would do differently as advice for couples planning their weddings?
Nobody warned the groom about the baraat. The ghodawallah and dholwallahs were shameless extortionists. The groom found their money-grabbing antics most distasteful. It’s best to have a rehearsal of the wedding day.

Acclaimed and ace designer duo, of
Mosaic is an art form made by assembling small pieces of glass, ceramic or other materials and is often used as a decorative technique in architecture. It is known to have originated thousands of years ago but flourished in the 6th-15th century A.D. Byzantine empire when it was gloriously used on walls and ceilings in basilicas and churches. For the first time ever, the duo have incorporated metallic tones like gold and silver to create a stellar festive attire for brides and their loved ones to flaunt at a cocktail, reception or a destination wedding. The iridescent hues of the collection range from dusty pastels such as chromatic yellows, sapphire blues and pearly greys to metallic over and undertones like dazzling metallic golds, silvers and rose golds. Our couture collection is very light wear but volumetric that goes grandeur, longer, and fuller on the silhouettes that would make a woman feel important and comfortable on her special day along with feeling beautiful.
Speaking about their association with FDCI’s India Couture Week 2019, Pankaj & Nidhi said “We are very excited to make our debut with our collection- Mosaiq at India Couture Week 2019. It’s our first couture showcase and we look forward to a good response. This being our first ever couture collection, with the help of our stylist, Gautam Kalra, whom we have been working for the past 10 years, we studied our signatures that define us, since our first couture collection would define people’s expectation from our future couture collections.
