Hi, I'm Dee, I have fought serious illness for 13 years which 6 years ago left me in a wheelchair for the rest of my life along with other problems leading to a number of organs being removed. I was very lost for a number of years after being a very active person, working and riding with horses all my life, walking, rock climbing, hiking, camping, keeping dogs and reptiles, reading, and most importantly being with my family. Being ill for so long and hoping to get back to normal then being left in a wheelchair was a huge blow, however in 2019 I'd decided enough and I would find something new that I could do from home, so I started to self teach in art.

I tried a few mediums but in the end settled on soft pastels. I've been posting for a while on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter so have some catching up to do. I am now building a small business and hope one day to become successful enough to rebuild my life for my family and myself. Oh I'm also a dachshund mum (and nut)

I'll post up some of my first ever pieces and the commissions that I now create for clients up to the most recent post of pieces I'm creeating, along with some videos that I've posted over the last year.

I currently have two commissions I'm doing at the moment. One is another dog wearing a jacket, but this time a staffie in a leather cut off, however after being sent the wrong illustration board I'm having to wait on the new Vellum board to arrive before I can make a restart. I'm also just making a start on a new piece, which is another dog, but this is in black & white.

I made the start today and will post up any progress I make as I post on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
