The Burrow home was warm, dimly lit, and smelled of tomato sauce. Joe and Y/N's three year old twins, Hudson and Elijah, were sprawled out on their living room rug, scribbling away in their new Paw Patrol coloring books. Y/N was washing a few more dishes as she waited for the garlic bread in the oven, and Joe was setting the table as he usually did to help his wife. He had just placed the twins' booster seats on their plush dining chairs as the oven began to beep — indicating that it was time for him to rush to the kitchen, so he could get the bread out of the oven before Y/N. He entered the kitchen just in time, seeing his wife bent over sliding an oven mitt on her hand.
"No, ma'am." He spoke, placing his right hand on the small of her back. "I'll do it."
Y/N straightened her back, smiling at the blonde man as she slid the oven mitt off of her hand. "I'm perfectly capable of grabbing a pan of breadsticks, honey." She said, earning a small chuckle from her husband.
"I know, mama." He took the oven mitt from her, moving it onto his much larger hand. "I just wanna make sure you don't strain yourself too much." The volume of his voice descended as he bent over, and quickly opened the oven before removing the fresh breadsticks from it. Y/N couldn't help but blush from how considerate her husband was, how he always had been. He was the exact same level of protective when she was pregnant with Hudson and Elijah, only he was much more anxious because they were the first pregnancy.
"I'll fix all of our plates." He placed the pan on the counter, throwing the oven mitt to the side. "You go grab the monsters. The food'll be on the table when you get back." He finished, placing a quick kiss to her forehead before she turned and exited the kitchen.
Waddling into the dimly lit living room, she slowly crouched down to her children's level. "Hi, mama." Hudson chirped. "Hey, mommy!" Elijah cheesed, both of them looking up from their coloring books for the first time in over ten minutes.
"Hey, champs." She ran a hand over their unruly blonde curls, "Are you guys hungry? Daddy is getting your favorite ready."
Their little blue eyes immediately widened in excitement, lifting up from their stomachs to their feet. "Sketti?" He showed his bright teeth as he looked at his mother, Elijah put a hand on his head, looking up at the ceiling with a groan.
"Ugh! We always have sketti, guys!" Y/N giggled at Hudson's excitement and Elijah's annoyance before nodding her head. "Yeah. Sorry, buddy. Sketti is really good and easy for mommy to make." Elijah crossed his arms over his chest with a smirk, giving his mother a knowing look.
"We have to clean up our mess before we eat, though. Okay?" Y/N said, her boys seemingly standing at attention now.
They nodded their heads. "Yes, ma'am!" They chirped, plopping down to their knees. Hudson grabbed their coloring books and neatly stacked them on the table, while Elijah quickly threw their crayons into a large pencil box. He closed the lid before Hudson threw their coloring books on top, grabbing it and sliding it on the table next to their long couch. "All done!" Y/N smiled brightly at her boys, feeling her heart swell with joy knowing how well her and Joe had been raising their boys.
She took her time to rise to her feet, being mindful of her big belly. Once she stood up straight, her boys reached out for her hand and began leading her into the dining room. Joe's face lit up seeing his favorite people, the twins released their mother's hand before running to their father's side instead. "Hey, dudes!" Joe smiled, placing the final plate down on the table and engulfing his sons into a tight hug. "You guys ready to eat?"
Y/N smiled as the boys vigorously nodded their heads. Joe placed them in their booster seats one at a time, where they immediately picked up their small forks and shoveled noodles into their mouths. Joe pulled his wife's chair out as usual, rubbing her shoulder gently once she sat down. "Thank you." She said, placing her napkin on her thigh.
The dining room was consumed by the quiet. The only noise being the scraping of forks on the plates, and the exaggerated slurping sound from the twins eating their dinner. Dinner always went this way, the first few minutes are quiet, then once Y/N starts slowly becoming full she breaks the silence. She finished chewing her garlic bread, wiping her mouth with her napkin before placing it down on the table. Her eyes sparked with enthusiasm, "Guess what, honey? The boys and I were thinking of coming to your game this weekend!"
Joe with a mouthful of spaghetti noodles, glanced over at their lively toddlers, and couldn't help but feel a wave of concern. "You sure about that, babe? The game can get pretty chaotic, especially with the boys being so energetic, and, well, you being pregnant." He said, his tone laced with concern as he spoke.
His wife only smiled, her eyes reflecting her determination. "I know it might be a lot, but they love watching you play, and I want them to experience that excitement. Plus, the baby can hear the crowd cheering, right?" She suggested. She was right, if they went, it would be her and the twins' first game in a while due to her pregnancy's waves of sickness. She had been feeling great all week, and had been itching to see Joe in action on the field.
Joe sighed as he placed his fork down, torn between wanting his family there and worrying about their well-being. "I just don't want it to be too much for you." He looked at his wife, "The stadium can get pretty loud, and the boys are two big bundles of energy."
Look, Y/N was pregnant, almost a week past her five month mark. Her belly wasn't huge, but it most definitely wasn't little either. She had been sick for most of the pregnancy so far, and sometimes between the pain it was fairly easy for her to become aggravated. Joe was very understanding in those times, and was always sweet to her no matter her attitude. She closed her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath. "I appreciate your concern, Joe, but we can handle it."
Hudson, completely oblivious to the conversation, was busy playing with his food. While Elijah was occasionally mimicking the cheers of a football crowd. As the dinner conversation continued, Joe could sense Y/N's irritation slowly rising even though she was doing pretty well at containing it. "I don't know, babe. Can I just think about it a bit more?" He asked genuinely, looking toward his wife with brooding eyes.
She forced a small smile as she huffed out her nose, "Yeah, sure." She replied, standing from her seat and gathering her plate and silverware. "I think I'm gonna take a bubble bath. Can you put the boys to bed?"
Joe nodded, eyeing his wife's body language as she walked into the kitchen to put her dishes away. She came back into the dining room, placing a kiss on Hudson and Elijah's tomato splattered cheeks before making her way up the stairs. She didn't look at Joe again, letting him know that she truly was irritated with him now and he would have to smooth things over before bed.
He looked toward his twins with a smile, "You full?"
Y/N took her time in the bathtub. She felt guilty about leaving dinner abruptly, but she knew Joe would come around, even if it took just a little bit of time. Although she didn't feel up for a conversation right now, she wished Joe would come upstairs already because she hated being upset with him. That was really the only downside of her pregnancy, she was always so emotional and found herself getting irritated with her husband much easier. She finally decided to step out of the bathtub, grabbing a towel and wrapping it around her body.
Joe figured Y/N wanted to be alone for a bit longer, so once he had the boys sound asleep in their race car shaped beds, he went back downstairs and cleaned up the mess left behind by dinner. Y/N had just slipped out of the bathroom, when Joe quietly shut the door to their shared bedroom. He almost winced as he watched his wife walk right past him, grabbing some clothes before going back into their bathroom.
He sat down at the foot of their bed, thinking about how he should approach his wife on the soft topic. Once he had an idea, he untucked their sheets, set his alarms and turned on their bedside lamp. Trading his sweater and jeans for a pair of sweatpants, he made his way over to the bathroom door. He hesitated for a moment, before lifting his hand to softly knock on the door. "Y/N, can I come in, please?"
He heard a faint response, slowly opening the door to find his wife standing at the sink, applying a lotion to her under eyes. He took a moment to examine her features, a look of frustration and hurt was on her face. "I didn't mean to upset you and I'm sorry if it came across in the wrong way." Joe began, his voice filled with remorse. "I just worry about you guys at the game."
Y/N turned to face Joe, seeing the look of guilt and worry on his face. "I know, I just feel like you don't want us there or something." She tried to hush the last part of her sentence, but Joe heard her loud and clear. He could tell by the way her bottom lip began to puff out, she was slowly getting closer to a breakdown. He instantly brought his hands to her cheeks, running his thumbs over her under eyes. "I thought we were supposed to share these moments as a f—family." She stuttered, and her vision blurred from the tears that began to burn her eyes. Her pregnancy was effecting her emotions more than ever right now, and that alone was irritating her more than Joe.
"That's the last thing that I want." Joe said, "I'm just really worried, that's all." Y/N nodded her head, feeling a wave of defeat wash over her body. She nodded her head slowly, as she reached up to remove Joe's hands from her face. "Okay, honey."
Joe felt so guilty, hesitated before he decided to speak up again. He reached Y/N's hand before she could grab the door knob, "Hold up, you gotta let me finish." He said, causing his wife to look up at him with tired eyes. "Maybe it's just my nerves talking. I want you and the boys there more than anything. You just gotta promise me you'll take it easy, okay? Don't go all wifey-bear if I get sacked and scream so loud you lose your voice." Her eyes instantly lit up, she stood up straight to adjust her slouching shoulders.
"You know I can't promise that, Joey." She joked, a smile tugging at the corner of her lips. "I won't do too much screaming, I don't wanna scare my boys just yet." Joe could see how her mood had already changed, a warm smile of his own forming on his face.
"I'll bring them some ear protection, and I'll even keep your parents on speed dial if I need anything." She reassured his worries, a wave of relief washing over his features as he swept a few stray curls from her forehead. He rested his hand on her cheek, looking into her eyes lovingly. "Okay, mama." He whispered, licking his lips as his eyes grazed over her whole face.
Y/N noticed the way he wet his bottom lip, "Just gonna keep starin' at me, or are you gonna kiss me?" She teased, looking up at her much taller husband. Joe didn't think twice before placing a soft kiss to his wife's lips, pulling away much quicker than she wanted him to. He peeled back with a smirk, leaning over her shoulder to open to bathroom door. "Let's get some sleep."
He helped her into their large bed, throwing the blankets over her, she instantly pulled them up to her chin. Joe made his way to his respective side of the bed, sliding in the sheets beside his wife, who mindlessly scooted closer to him and laid her head on his chest. "I'm sorry for blowing that whole thing out of proportion." She apologized, tracing shapes onto her husband's chest.
Joe shook his head, rubbing circles on her shoulder. "You have nothing to apologize for, Y/N. Just because you're pregnant, doesn't mean you can't make your own decisions. I failed to recognize that. I'm sorry, baby." Joe apologized right back, causing his wife to look up at him with a remorseful expression on her face.
"It's alright, Joey. I get that you were just worried." She responded, moving her ring clad hand to his cheek, rubbing the stubble that he knew she loved so much. "I promise you, Hudson and Elijah are gonna have so much fun, it'll all be so worth it." Joe smiled warmly, thinking of the smile that will never leave their faces once they're at the game. It's not like it would be their first game, it'll just be their first one since their mom found out she was pregnant with their younger sibling.
"I know." Joe replied, watching as his wife's eyes clearly began to get heavier to hold open. He grabbed her hand from his cheek, moving it to his lips before kissing her palm. "Goodnight, mama. I love you."
"Goodnight, Joey. I love you more."
The stadium buzzed with anticipation as the Bengals star quarterback prepared for the upcoming game. A subtle layer of worry masked his usual game-day focus, even after the conversations he'd had with his wife a few nights before. His five month pregnant wife, Y/N, and their wildly energetic three year old boys, Hudson and Elijah, were attending the game tonight.
Joe paced nervously around the locker room, glancing at his phone for any updates. The last time Y/N had texted him was the let him know they were getting snacks first, seeing as she didn't want to be up and around much during the game. He couldn't shake the concern about any potential challenges of having his family amidst the excitement of a football game.
"Everything okay, Joe?" Tee Higgins inquired, noticing the furrowed brow. He chewed a piece of bubblegum harshly, cocking his head to the side to look at his quarterback.
"Yeah, just a bit worried. Y/N's pregnant and the boys can be quite the handful. I want them to enjoy the game, but it's chaotic out there." Joe admitted.
His teammate, understanding the delicate balance between family and the intensity of the game, offered a reassuring nod. "They'll be fine. Your family is strong, just like you, man."
Just then, their coach gathered all their attention and Joe quickly thanked Tee for his understanding before grabbing his helmet.
As game time approached, Joe couldn't help but steal glances at the stands. When he spotted Y/N, her baby bump noticeable, with Hudson and Elijah, wide-eyed with excitement, a mix of anxiety and joy flooded their emotions. They both wore some ear protection that looked like it could weigh their head down if they leaned to one side, he smiled seeing his wife's hand raise in the air to give him an excited wave.
Y/N watched the whole game on the edge of her seat, occasionally standing up despite her best efforts to stay seated — trying her best to follow Joe's safety requests. Hudson's smile never fell, he was screaming louder than anyone in their section for his father. Elijah clapped in excitement, looking over at his mother and pointing to his father every three or so minutes. They had been to a few games before, but they were a little older and had a better understanding of the sport. They were already talking about playing it once they started school next year.
Y/N clapped her hands loudly as halftime finally approached, she knew Joe would be over there soon. Not even ten minutes later, her blue eyed husband was standing in front of them on the sidelines. "Hey, you guys okay?" he greeted, a touch of concern in his eyes.
"We're doing great, honey. And so are you." Y/N smiled, reaching her hand down to touch Joe's. Joe smiled widely, relieved to know that his family was enjoying themselves. Hudson and Elijah, both bouncing with enthusiasm, chimed in, "Daddy, did you see us? We waved at you!"
Joe's worry melted into a grin. "I saw, guys!" He reached up high to touch both of his son's heads. "That's awesome. Just make sure you're having fun, okay? And both of you be good for mama!"
Due to his coach's demands, Joe had to jog to the locker room after their interaction. Y/N, Hudson and Elijah waved him goodbye and took their seats until the second half.
As the game progressed, Joe felt a newfound motivation fueled by the presence of his family. Y/N, attuned to his emotions, whispered words of encouragement, both calming and inspiring. Meanwhile, Hudson and Elijah's cheers echoed through the stadium, each one a source of pride for his quarterback father. The Bengals came out on top, the game ending with a touchdown made by a pass from Joe. After the game, Y/N grabbed all of their belongings and both of her sons hands, being careful as they went up and down steps. They stood outside the locker room as she'd done since her and Joe began dating in college, both her and her boys bouncing with anticipation for the man to come out to them.
Once he emerged from the locker room, he swung his bag to his back, took Hudson onto his hip and hugged his wife with one arm around her neck. Y/N held Elijah on her hip as well. "You guys made this win even sweeter. Thanks for being here." he said, genuine gratitude in his eyes.
Y/N hugged him tightly, "We wouldn't miss it for the world. We're your biggest fans, no matter the chaos." She raised a hand to rank through his blonde hair, tears prickling in her eyes. They weren't tears of sadness or fear, just tears of pure happiness.
As they left the stadium, the Burrow family walked hand in hand, the worries of the game day transformed into a cherished memory. In that moment, Joe realized that having his wife and sons by his side added a layer of joy and support that went beyond the triumphs on the field. They were a team, weathering the excitement and challenges together, creating a bond that extended far beyond the football game.

sick days with joe feat baby burrow
joe burrow and fem!reader
it is currently eleven in morning and joe felt miserable. he was wrapped up in several fluffy blankets coughing up a storm. he kept complaining about his body being cold and feeling lightheaded.
you were downstairs in the kitchen pouring joe’s chicken noodle soup in the bowl. you placed the soup on the standing serving tray, sliced oranges for some vitamin c, and honey lemon tea.
you walked upstairs to you and joe’s bedroom lightly pushing the door open with your foot.
"hey baby," you said softly walking towards the bed. joe let out an incoherent sound. "I brought you chicken noodle soup, some oranges, and tea." you announced.
joe sat up right. "here you go baby," you said placing the standing tray on his lap.
while joe was blowing on his soup baby burrow pushed open the room door holding a colorful piece of paper in his hand.
he climbed up onto the king sized bed with a little assistance from mommy.
"what’s that you got there buddy?" joe asked in a horse voice.
"I made you a card daddy." baby burrow said happily.
baby burrow handed the card to joe. joe opened the card and read it quietly.
"thanks bud daddy’s feeling better already." joe said giving baby burrow a small smile.
baby burrow crawled closer to joe climbing onto his lap giving him a hug making you smile.

Just want to request prompt #16, maybe where the reader was super busy and tired and wasn’t able to do any of the chores. However Joe also had a long day but he wanted to do the chores for the reader to take off some stress from her. Something like that filled with fluff 😚❤️
warnings: none
You came home extremely tired from work, ever since you were tiny you dreamt of a flower shop. After you went away to college and came back you earned a little money you decided to open it, later on your journey you met Joe, he was there picking lilies for his mom on Mother´s day and he kept showing up every week until he ran out of excuses to give flowers for his mom
"You know I can physically see you thinking of something to say when you order these flowers right?" you said looking at him and you saw his eyes smile for the first time "Well, I love giving my mom flowers is that a bad thing?" "No it isn´t, that´s actually really sweet," you said on the other side of the counter "How can I help you today Joe?" you said smiling "Can I have your number? I would love to take you out on a date?" he said hopping you didn´t had a boyfriend -which you didn't- but to him it was impossible, you were gorgeous and the times you had talked you were as sweet as pie.
It´s safe to say you went on a date with him, and three years later you had your first and only child -until now - a little baby boy with the biggest blue eyes ever, he looked exactly like his dad you were crying tears of joy when you saw him for the first time.
Joe was an excellent father, boyfriend and above all he was an impeccable man, he loved spending his nights in and taking care of you and your little one, even though you didn´t plan on having a kid so soon, it happened and you were sure you were made to be his mom and he was made to be your son. And Joe loved it, he loved the fact that he could teach him the same things his dad reached him, but deep down he was born to be a girl dad, there wasn´t a single day where he didn't wonder about his life having a little girl
"We´ve talked about this before Joe, Jack is still so little and I´m focused on the flower shop, the off-season it´s the only time you are here 24/7 and I don´t blame you it´s your job but you have to understand that I have my dreams as well" you said putting the dishwasher on, as much as you loved being a mom, it wasn´t in your plans soon, "I have told you a hundred times I make enough money for us, you can stay here and watch our children, and, " Joe said but you stopped him, it was getting in your nerves he couldn´t take a no for an answer "This isn´t about me needing your money, you had a dream when you were a kid and you worked hard for it, you got it, and you´re living your dream, this is about me and what I need to do because I owe myself this, and I´m not ready to be a mom again, the last pregnancy was on the season and I hated being alone, I can do this again, you said walking out of the kitchen going upstairs to take a shower, you had been working all day and the last thing you wanted was to take out your anger on him.
When you came out of the shower and made your way to your bed you saw that Joe wasn´t there, he knew he had done wrong so he gave you space, and as much as you would love for him to come back to you you saw him sleeping with Jack on his bed, the bed was so tiny and Joe was so big it made you giggle.
The next morning he left for practice and he dropped Jack off at school, it was a weird feeling because you didn´t want him near you, you just wanted to be alone, you loved your kid, but being a mom can be an exhausting job.
A few hours had passed and the doorbell on the flower shop was ranged "Can I get a big bouquet of peonies?" he was standing there, with your favorite matcha latte and his sorry eyes, "Sure, do you want to write a note?" you said not making eye contact with him "Yes I want to write I´m sorry, I´m the world´s worst boyfriend please" he said trying to make you look at him, "Joe" you said but he interrupted "I´m sorry, I know I went too far, this is your dream and you´re pretty good at it, to be honest" and you punched him on the arm as he laughed "C´mon let´s go pick up Jack" you said telling the girls on the flower shop you were leaving, you rarely did this but there wasn´t any jobe due that day and you needed your family.
Later that day you were on the couch watching Cars with Jack and while you were falling asleep you heard Joe whisper "I forgot to add in the note that you´re the hottest MILF ever" he said kissing your ear but you decided to just close your eyes and go to sleep.
a/n: I know this isn´t exactly what you asked for but i got carried away writing this one and tbh i´m falling asleep writing this lol BUT I loved writing this, hopefully, i´ll get out of my writers block and give you the last chapter of fwd series :)

baby’s first thanksgiving
Baby’s First Thanksgiving || Joe Burrow x reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
•pairing: Joe Burrow x reader
•summary: It’s Josie’s first Thanksgiving!
•warnings: a baby and pure fluff<3
“Look at your little bow peanut, you look so pretty, yes you do!”
You smiled to yourself as you stood in the doorway of your daughter’s nursery, listening to her sweet baby giggles as you watched Joe coo down at her as he got her dressed.
“She says you look just like me,” Joe picked his daughter up, smiling at her as he spoke, “but I think you look beautiful like your mommy Josie girl.”
Your heart swelled at your husbands sweet words. You decided to make your presence known, walking into your daughter’s room and grinning as you spoke.
“I don’t know, I think she looks just like her daddy.”
The sound of your voice made Joe take his attention away from his six month old daughter and to you instead. His smile widened, making his eyes crinkle up at the corners in a way you always loved. You walked further into the room, standing behind Joe and waving at your smiling baby girl.
“How long have you been eavesdropping on Josie and I?” Joe asked with a smirk as he brought Josie into his arms. You shrugged, your smile turning into a smirk to match Joe’s. “Long enough.” your smirk turned back into a smile as you reached your arms out to take your daughter from Joe’s arms.
“Hi Josie girl!” You beamed as soon as your daughter was in your arms, “You look so cute.”
“Say thanks mommy,” Joe spoke in a higher octave, making it seem like Josie was the one speaking, “Daddy picked out my outfit.”
You eyed Joe as you replied, “Well daddy did a great job.” You kissed Josie’s chubby cheeks, making the baby girl giggle happily as she flashed you and Joe a wide, gummy smile. Her sweet giggles never failed to put a smile on yours and Joe’s faces.
“Are you so excited for your first Thanksgiving? Try some sweet potatoes, rolls, turkey—.”
“And ham.”
You chuckled as Joe cut in.
“And ham.” You added, tickling your daughter’s sides and making her giggle once again. Joe smiled at you two as he wrapped his arm around your waist, pulling you into his side.
“Are my girls ready to go?”
You nodded, bouncing your daughter on your hip slightly, “Say yes daddy, we’re ready when you are.”
Joe leaned down and pressed a kiss to the top of yours and Josie’s head, making both of you smile. Your little family was full of so much love that only grew more and more each day.
Once you made sure you had Josie’s diaper bag all packed up, the three of you left your house and headed over to Joe’s parents for Thanksgiving dinner.
~time skip~
“Here Josie girl,” you grabbed a half a spoonful of your sweet potato’s and brought them up to your baby’s girls little lips, “you wanna try some?”
She opened her mouth like a little bird, eating the sweet potatoes off the spoon. You and Joe watched with smiles on your faces as she smacked her lips and babbled happily.
“Do you like them peanut?” Joe asked, chuckling as Josie leaned forward to take more from the spoon you were holding. “Mmm,” you hummed, your daughter making the same sound as you. “Yeah?” You asked, cooing sweetly at your daughter, “yummy huh?”
Joe’s parents watched from across the table with wide grins as you and Joe introduced their granddaughter to some of her first solid foods.
You picked up a piece of turkey from your plate, tearing off a small piece and holding it out for Josie. She took it from your hand with her chubby fingers and shoved it into mouth. As soon as the turkey hit her tongue, her face turned into a look of disgust as she slowly chewed. She spit the turkey out and whined slightly.
You chuckled as you looked over at Joe, “She really is your little twin Joe.” Joe smiled and reached out to rub his thumb across Josie’s cheek, swiping away some of her drool.
“It’s OK baby girl,” he cooed at his daughter, “daddy doesn’t like turkey either.”
Joe took his hand away from her mouth and grabbed a small piece of ham from his plate. He brought the meat up to her lips, the two of you watching cautiously as Josie hesitantly took the ham from her father’s finger. Josie’s face instantly lit up as she started chewing the ham.
“You like it Josie?” Joe asked, smiling at his daughter as she clapped her hands.
“I’m taking that as a yes.” Robin spoke up, a smile on her face too.
Joe chuckled at his moms comment and tore off another small piece of ham, giving it to Josie who gladly accepted it. “She really is just like me, huh?” he asked, glancing at you with a smirk.
“I told you she was,” you replied, “she looks like you, acts like you, and now she hates turkey like you do, too.”

Daddy • JB
Part Two
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since you’ve had your beautiful baby boy, it’s been hard to have some private 1:1 time with your man, and he makes it happen.
Warnings: smutty smut smut #sorrynotsorry, (still getting used to writing it so pls bare with me😅), Dad!Joe (🥵), it’s so fluffy that it’s sickening
Here’s the part two👀
Part One is here
His eyes turn dark and he leans in, smashing his lips to yours. He nibbles on your bottom lip and slides his tongue past your lips to tangle with yours. You moan into his mouth, as your arms around his neck, your hands going into his longer hair.
“Jump” he mumbles against your lips before quickly reattaching them. You jump and he places his hands on your ass and you wrap your legs around his hips. This time already being better than the past two.
He lays you gently on the bed, detaching your lips so he could latch onto your neck. Kissing down your neck and to the top of your shirt. He comes back up to your lips, smirking against them.
“You have too much on, baby” he murmurs into your lips.
“Care to help me out?” You ask and he grins.
“Gladly”
He grabs the bottom of your shirt and pulls it up and over your head and throws it across the room. He looks down at your chest and moans lowly.
“Much better” he leans back down and presses hot, open kisses on both of your breasts.
“If I could have you naked all the time, life would officially be perfect” he says, looking up at you through those beautiful eyelashes.
You let out a shaky breath, his words making you feel loved, even after your little breakdown you had earlier. He makes you feel sexy, he makes you feel like a hot mom, despite the way you have been personally feeling.
He makes his way down your body, kissing down your tummy and smiling up at you. God, he is everything.
He slips off your panties and practically drools. He slips your legs over his shoulders and kissing the inside of your thighs delicately, like he will break you if he is any more rough with you.
“Please” you whisper.
“I got you, baby” he says before licking a nice stripe up your slit.
“Oh shit” you gasp, gripping the sheets sheets below you.
“I want you to watch me devour you” his voice low and raspy catches your attention as you sit up enough to lean back on your elbows, your eyes meeting his now dark blue ones.
He repeats the same motion and you bite your lip excessively hard. God, this was your favorite view, one that could make you let go just by looking at him between your thighs.
He smirks before getting to work, flicking his tongue over and over and over again against your clit. Your eyes roll to the back of your head and you couldn’t help but throw your head back.
You missed this a little too much.
“Eyes on me, Mama” he stops and you about come right there.
Mama
You lift your head back up and look at him, you’re already out of breath and he’s barely done anything but you were about to go over the edge.
He continues his attack, his tongue continuing the same motions when he takes you by surprise by sucking harshly on your clit, the noises becoming too much to bare. Your hips come off the mattress, just to be pushed back down by Joe’s arm. You grip onto his hair with one hand and his forearm that laid across your lower tummy with the other.
“Joe, I’m not gonna last long” you whimper.
“That’s okay” he says before slipping a finger into you, getting you off in a heavenly way with his fingers and tongue.
“Oh my god! Fuck Joey!” You cry out, your back arching as you release all over his face and onto the sheets, moaning Joe’s name multiple times. Woah, it’s been awhile since you’ve done that.
Joe cleans you up with his tongue, your body jumping every time, the over sensitivity kicking in.
He comes back up, attaching his lips to yours, your wetness still coating his chin and once again slipping his tongue into your mouth where you can taste yourself on him. You couldn’t help but moan against him. He’s so hot.
“It’s nice to know I can still make you do that” he murmurs against your lips.
“It’s clearly not very hard to do. You make it look easy” you sigh, trying to catch your breath.
“I’m just that good” he smirks and you roll your eyes.
“Your turn” you smile, reaching down and gripping onto his cock.
“As much as I want that, I want to be inside you even more, it’s killing me” he says and you raise your brows at him.
“I won’t say no to that” you lock your lips with his as he gets in position and slowly slides through your plush folds.
Your eyes screw shut and you gasp against his lips. This kind of freaked Joe out so he stopped, pulling his face away from yours.
“Am I hurting you?” He asks, his voice concerned, the worry lines on his forehead making an appearance.
Did it hurt? Him stretching you out after awhile? Maybe a little, but it only came with a sharp feeling of pleasure right after and you couldn’t get enough of it. Enough of him.
“No, you feel so good, Joey” you whimper, reaching down to his ample ass and pushing him deeper into you, causing you to let out a borderline pornographic moan.
“I’ve missed you so much” he breathes out, his head dropping to your shoulder as he continues slowly thrusting into you.
“I’ve missed you more” you murmur into his neck; wrapping your arms around his neck, letting one of your hands go into his hair.
As much as you love this, him doing all the work and enjoying the feel of you, and you feeling every vein on his cock, you roll the two of you over to where you were on top of him, straddling his delicious hips.
“Oh?”
You sink down onto him and you both moan embarrassingly loud, both of you feeling him bottoming out.
“Oh fuck” he groans, grabbing your hips.
You start rolling your hips back and forth, side to side. He grips your hips tightly, helping you move. You felt every part of him, every vein, every dip, everything and it was so good.
“You are fucking unreal” he says, his mouth falling open and throwing his head back.
“Look at me while I ride you, Daddy” you smirk down at him, trying to suppress a moan at the way he look’s below you.
His head shoots up and his eyes wide as you continue to roll your hips against his.
You have never used the term, “Daddy” until you know, he became one. You decided to use reverse psychology when he used “Mama” earlier, since it got such a rise out of you. And it seems to have gotten a rise out of him, literally. His eyes go darker, if that was even possible and you feel him get painfully harder inside of you.
You roll your hips extra hard and you both curse. The feeling of you two connected like a puzzle piece becoming too much in all of the right ways.
He lifts your hips up and he pulls out of you which causes you to look at him confused. He grabs the back of your neck and brings your lips to his, you bare chest against his and his hand in your hair. As your lips lock, he slams back into you, quickly and repeatedly.
“Oh shit” you whine into his mouth.
“Fuck baby” he groans, “I’m not going to last very long”
“Me neither, oh god-“
You bounce back onto him to help speed up the process. With a couple more thrusts, you both loudly spill over the edge, him giving one last delicious thrust up into you, moaning each other’s names and both of you in a state of ecstasy.
He slips out of you, but he keeps your limp body on top of him, enjoying holding you.
“Now that one had to be top 3” he says and you giggle into his neck.
“Oh for sure” you agree.
“I’m sorry for making you feel like I didn’t want you this way, that couldn’t be farther from the truth” his fingers running up and down your back with one hand, his other holding onto your waist.
“It wasn’t you, Joe. It was me and my own screwed up way of thinking” you sigh, nuzzling your face more into his neck.
“It’s not screwed up. I know you’ve been feeling a certain way about yourself this whole pregnancy and even now that you’ve had him. I’m going to do everything in my power to make you feel beautiful again, so you can see yourself how I see you”
You pull your face out of his neck and look at him. You couldn’t help but smile with tears in your eyes. He cares so much about you and you don’t ever realize how much.
“I love you so much” you bump your nose against his and he smiles.
“I love you more” he winks and kisses you lovingly, rolling you both over to where he is slightly hovering over you.
“Want to go again?” He smirks and you laugh.
“You are incorrigible, Joseph Lee” you giggle, “but yeah, I do”
He chuckles and reattaches his lips to yours sliding his hand down your side, and down to your ass, squeezing it generously.
Just as you two were about to have your way with each other again, little cries could be heard on the baby monitor. You both smile against each other’s lips and he pulls away, resting his forehead against yours.
“Well, we got farther than I thought we would” he chuckles and you smile.
“A solid round and a half” you giggle and he sighs.
“We’re finishing this tomorrow night” he pecks your lips sweetly.
“I’ll be ready” you wink and go to get up when he gently pushes you back down.
“No, I’ll get him” he says, continuing to press loving kisses to your lips, over and over.
“If I can stop kissing you then I will” he chuckles against your lips and you could help but giggle as he continues to kiss you a couple more times before pressing one last kiss to your cheek.
He gets up and throws his shorts back on over that perfect butt before heading to the nursery.
You stare up at the ceiling as you hear Joe’s little coo’s to your baby boy on the monitor. How did you get so lucky to have two boys completely take over your life, your heart, your soul?
You couldn’t help but get teary eyed just thinking about them both and hearing them talk to each other through the monitor.
You get up and throw Joe’s shirt back on and walk to the nursery to see Joe and your baby in the rocking chair, talking away to each other. Your heart soared.
“Come here, Mama” Joe smiles over at you.
You smile back and walk over to your boys where Joe motions for you to sit on his lap to which you do, gladly.
You and Joe sat there watching your now wide awake baby boy, enjoying each other’s presence and realizing that nothing could get better than having these two boys that you love so much that it hurts.

A light haze filled the atmosphere painting the sky a color gradient of orange and blue. You were enamored by sounds of the chirping of the birds that was accompanied by your daughter’s soft humming— Aurora “Rory” Burrow, who just turned four last month, was quietly walking beside you as she picked up a few dandelions from the ground— humming and skipping as she walked.
Earlier this morning, Rory up ran to you with much more bounce on her step as usual— she politely asked you if you could take her to the park so she could pick flowers for her daddy— the sentiment almost bringing you to tears as you enthusiastically agreed to the idea.
Your husband, Joe has been on the road for three days now for his games and he will be returning tonight— Joe has been working hard and endlessly throughout the season and because of that Rory wants to surprise him.
You later suggested to Rory that you could go and buy flowers at the nearest flower shop from your house but she simply shook her head, no— her little pigtails shaking profusely.
“No! I pick flowers for daddy, mama,” she babbles lifting her chubby arms up showing you her pink princess basket— silently implying that she will be picking those flowers for her daddy.
Seeing the serious yet determined look in her soft face made you giggle in reply. Her baby blue eyes, that shadows Joe’s looking at you with a pleading look as if almost asking you to not stop her.
Nodding your head, you placed kisses after kisses on her soft face— from her cute and squishy cheeks to her forehead, tickling her in the process, earning you a squeal and a hearty laugh from Aurora.
“Of course you can pick daddy flowers, baby! Pick all the flowers you want! Mommy will help you.”
Watching her humming and skipping with her pink basket and denim overalls, you couldn’t help but fawn over your daughter’s love for Joe.
Rory was a daddy’s girl— she has been since day one. She loved spending time with you, from playing her toys with you, dressing up and shopping with you but whenever Joe is around she almost always needs to have his attention— and you don’t blame her, your baby girl got it from you after all.
You were brought out of your thoughts when you heard a soft gasp come from Rory’s mouth.
Looking down you see her cradling her pink basket that was filled to the brim with flowers, however, all her attention was focused on the shop in front of her— that is when you noticed that you two have reached a pet adoption center.
From the corner of your eyes you see Rory up against the glass with her face pressed up on it— her baby blues moving in a lightning pace as she looked at the animals up for adoption in their little houses.
“Mommy, look! Doggy mama! Doggy is sleeping!” Rory whisper yelled as she pointed her small fingers on the glass.
Joining her from her spot, you watched as the small furry brown dog that Rory has been eyeing lifted its head up and carefully watched her before bouncing up and down— its tails wagging excitedly.
The four year old was now jumping up and down copying the dog before turning to you with her big blue eyes and her hands clasped together on her chest, her basket of flowers hanging off her arm.
“Mommy can we get doggy? Pwease? Doggy my fwend.” Rory asked as she continued to look at you with pleading eyes, her baby voice finding it’s way to your heart.
Fuck
You’re screwed.
“Why don’t we go inside and ask the lady about the doggy first, okay, baby?” You crouched to reach her level, negotiating to the best of your abilities.
“Owkay, mommy.” She nodded and smiled at you like the good girl she is.
One thing about your daughter is that no matter how much you and Joe spoil her she was always so polite— from such a young age, whenever she wanted something she would say please, whenever you or Joe say would no to her requests— she nods her little head and says “that’s owkay, next time only.” She is their sweetest girl which is why both you and Joe spoil her anyway because of how polite and understanding she is.
With her small hands grasping on your own— the two of you walked inside the shop, greeting you was one of the employees of the shop.
“Hello, how can I help you today?” She smiles at you and Aurora who waves her little hand, “Hello.”
“Hi, we are wondering about that puppy over there?” You pointed at the brown dog Rory wanted.
The lady nodded her head with a smile before walking over and opening the puppy’s enclosure— the tiny little thing was cradled in her hand. She knelt down towards Rory who had her small arms out already— her mouth open ajar and her eyes wide watching the puppy in awe.
“This is a Maltipoo— a crossbreed between a Maltese and a Poodle.” the lady explains as she carefully placed the puppy onto your daughters awaiting arms, the puppy automatically nuzzled itself closer to Aurora making you pull out your phone from your pocket and taking numerous photos of your daughter.
“This one right here is a ginger Maltipoo and it’s a girl and she is just nine months old— are thinking of adopting her?” She asks and in turn Rory looks up at you again with those pleading eyes.
“Pwease, mommy. She’s my fwend.” your daughter says as she carefully smooshes her cheeks against the puppy’s soft fur.
With a sigh, you crouch down next to her, “My, love we cannot get her now, okay?–” with that said Rory’s little face saddens in dejection as she hugged the puppy closer towards her but nevertheless your ever so sweet girl nodded her head, her baby blue eyes slowly turning misty making your heart ache in the process.
Fuck it you’ll let Joe deal with this.
“How about this— we wait for daddy to come home tonight and you give him the beautiful flowers you picked up earlier and then we ask him if we can get the doggy, okay?” you smiled at her, caressing her soft cheeks to prevent her from crying.
Aurora nodded her head enthusiastically at the reminder of Joe— instantly loving the idea of her daddy meeting her new furry friend.
“Good girl. We need to head home now and wait for daddy— now say goodbye to your friend, we will see her again soon.”
Nodding her head, Rory carefully placed the puppy down on the ground, petting its head as she mumbled her farewell to the dog.
While your daughter was occupied, you turned to the lady next to you and whispered, “Put her on hold for me and can you please prepare the necessary papers cause I’m a hundred percent sure we will be back tomorrow.” You offered a grateful smile before lifting Rory up, carrying her cause she looked exhausted from walking, her arms circling around your neck with her fingers still tightly holding onto her basket.
Before reaching the door you felt movement at the back of your neck— Rory was fiddling with her basket of flowers, turning around, the little girl in your arms, raised her hand as she held out one of the daisies she picked.
“Thank you for taking care of my fwend doggy!” She mutters with a yawn before reaching out to hand it to the lady who held her hand to her chest in awe.
“Thank you.” You bid goodbye, placing a kiss on Rory’s forehead as she nuzzled into your neck— her breath steadying as she lulls herself to sleeps.
Your sweetest girl.
Once you reached home, you tucked Aurora in bed for her nap before cooking dinner and tidying up the house for Joe’s arrival— your husband just texted you saying that he was on his way home and you couldn’t be more excited.
The wide range of flowers that Rory had picked out was now tied together with the sparkly pink ribbon that she made earlier this morning— the once scattered and separated flowers now forming a bouquet.
An hour has passed and your little girl waddles out of her room, her tiny hands rubbing the remnants of sleep in her eyes as she clutches her tiger plushy with her other hand.
And before she could even ask, the gates of your house opened, the sound of the car engines filling your ears— Joe is home.
You couldn’t help the smile forming your face as you looked at the main door— you missed Joe, it’s has only been three days and you couldn’t help but think about the cliche of it feeling like three years.
“Daddy is home, baby!” You whispered to Rory as you handed her the baby bouquet of flowers she’s going to give Joe.
And on queue, Joe walks in the front door in all his glory— his luggage and duffel bag on both his hands completely discarded as Aurora bounded straight at him.
“Daddy!”
Joe catches Rory mid jump, cradling her to his chest— his stature making your daughter look smaller than she already was.
“Hi, princess. Daddy missed you so much.” Joe says as he kissed all over Rory’s face making her giggle.
“Miss you too, Daddy. Daddy, look! I pick flowers for you!” Rory proudly lifted up the bouquet of flowers in her hand and presented it to Joe with a huge smile on her face— a smile your husband has always claimed was yours.
Joe took one look at the flowers and he beamed instantly— taking the bouquet from his daughters hands, his fatigue from the training, the games, and the flight instantly melting away.
“Did you pick them, baby?” Joe asked still carrying his daughter who was now playing with his hair.
“Yes, mommy helped me!” Rory smiles before pressing her face deeper into the crook of Joe’s neck.
With that said, Joe lifted his head, his baby blues meeting yours as you leaned against the wall watching your two loves.
Joe sauntered towards you, landing himself in front of your face— his frame easily towering over you as he continued to softly rub Rory’s back who was still recovering from her nap.
“Hey, mama.” Joe smirked at you before leaning down and catching your lips in his— your husbands lips soft as you can remember, kissing you delicately with so much passion.
“Missed you so much, Joey.” you murmured, placing your head at the other side of his neck, facing Rory who was fighting the urge to fall back asleep.
“Missed you too, baby— so fucking much.” Joe whispered for only you to hear, placing a kiss on both your forehead and Rory’s.
Something must have reminded Rory about today cause she gasps so hard, she scared you and Joe out of your little bubble.
“What is it, Rory?” Joe asked worriedly as he watched her wiggle down from his hold.
“Daddy! I met a new fwend today!” she smiled up at him as she bounced up and down.
Oh shit. Here we go.
“Oh yeah? Where did you meet them, princess?” Joe chuckled while sitting himself down on the sofa, Aurora trailing after him.
“At the pet store, daddy— and mommy said to ask you before we take her home with us!” She continued to gush, placing herself onto Joe’s lap.
In an instant Joe’s eyes snap towards you— his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
You simply sat down next to him, “I’m sorry” you mouthed at him— apologizing for putting him on the spot to decide for his daughter.
“The doggy, my fwend daddy! Can we get her pwease? Pwease daddy?— she’ll get lonely. Please?” Rory looks straight into Joe’s eyes who was staring at her stoically.
Joe likes his peace and his space. That peace is his safe place— which was your house. The house you two built even when you two were just dating— this space is where he rests both his body and mind, away from the hustle and bustle of his career.
Joe loves his job but sometimes, he needs his peace and quiet— having Aurora didn’t disrupt his peace or his space in any way. In fact your little girl improve it.
Joe would play with Rory, sleep with her on his chest, watch Disney movies with her, and he would call it rest.
Now a dog, a puppy no less— in your head will disrupt your husband’s peace and quiet for sure. Which is why you were so hesitant to say yes to Rory earlier today.
Joe loves animals, he really does, but owning one is not something he has the time for— especially dogs. In all of your years of knowing Joe, he has always been more of a cat person— which made sense considering he is a giant cat himself, attitude wise.
Understandably so, Joe was hesitant to even open his mouth but upon looking down his little girl, both you and Joe knew the answer to her question.
“A doggy is a big responsibility, baby. You have to take care of her.”
That’s a yes.
“Yes daddy!”
“You have to bathe her and feed her, my love.” Joe continues.
That’s a yes.
“I will, daddy!”
“You also have to take her to walk and play.”
You weren’t sure if Joe was reminding Aurora of her newfound responsibilities or if he was psyching himself out for his new responsibilities— that’s still a yes though.
“I pwomise I’ll take good care of her, daddy.”
And just like that you three found yourself at the same adoption center the next day— Joe was signing the papers you have asked for the previous day as Rory cradles the puppy she now calls Goldie, animatedly talking to her new friend.
“Thank you, Mr and Mrs. Burrow! I’ll be right back with the remaining items and then you’re free to go.” The lady says before excusing herself to pack all the additional stuff we bought for Goldie— ranging from a pink fluffy bed to every dog clothes one could own.
You and Joe quietly watched Rory play with Goldie with smiles on your faces.
You turned to your husband with a smirk on your face, “You just couldn’t help it can you?” you teased him, implying his lack of control when it comes to spoiling his daughter.
Joe looks at you with his eyebrow raised, “She has those puppy dog eyes, baby. How could I say no to that? And she’s an angel so why not?” He shrugged as if he didn’t just spend half a million dollars on a puppy.
“Those are your eyes, Joey baby” you point out the exact likeness of Aurora and Joe’s eyes— your favorite baby blues.
“Yeah? But those are your techniques, my love— if I’m not mistaken.” Your husband turns his body towards you, leaning his face closer to yours.
“The begging, the pouting, the puppy dog eyes. Rory might have my eyes, baby— but that right there, that’s all you, mama.” Joe mutters under his breath as he pointed at Rory who was busy playing with Goldie right next to you.
“Got me giving you everything you wanted, huh? She got it from you, you know?” Joe chuckles as he watches the redness creep up your cheek upon the realization.
Shrugging your shoulders, you looked at Joe up and down before saying, “Don’t complain now. You love spoiling me— now you have two of us.”
“I’m not complaining, my love, just stating the facts— and yes I do love spoiling you. Love spoiling both my girls.”

TENDERHEARTS & TOUCHDOWNS
Tumblr media
PAIRING: Joe Burrow 𝔁 Black!Wife!Reader
GENRE: Husband & Dad Joe
BACKSTORY: Y/N and Joe were the couple that all the students of LSU dreamed of being. Their story was straight out of a movie — Joe being the school's star quarterback, and Y/N being the cheerleader who cheered him on from the sidelines. They got lots of criticism, people not being able to accept the fact that Joe Burrow was in love with a biracial woman.
Even before they both transferred LSU, it was still them two against the world. There was a few schedule clashes due to Joe taking online classes and her attending in-person school, but they defied all odds and graduated still happily together.
Once Joe was picked the play for the Bengals, he wasted no time proposing to Y/N. Obviously, she said yes — and they began to plan for their future. As they continued to live their lives, each and every puzzle piece began to come together right before their eyes.
Don't let the all the details of happiness fool you, their journey did not come without its obstacles. Struggling with the pressures of Joe's high-profile status, Y/N must confront her own fears and insecurities. Will their love endure the tests of time and adversity, or will the challenges they face prove too formidable?
"Tenderhearts & Touchdowns" is a heartwarming tale of love, sacrifice, and resilience, reminding us that sometimes the most meaningful victories happen off the field.

I do imagine the reader to be black/biracial but of course, it is solely reliant on your imagination for how you look in these imagines! This universe will follow my little Burrow family of 5, Y/N and Joe will have twin boys, Hudson and Elijah, along with their baby girl, Sawyer!
So far, all of my drafts have turned out really cute and I cannot wait to share them. I am also still learning how to work Tumblr, so please, bear with me lol! mornings with joe feat baby burrow
joe burrow and fem!reader
you were currently in the kitchen plating breakfast while joe was stacking blocks with baby burrow.
you made blueberry waffles, pork bacon, and eggs. for baby burrow you substituted the bacon for chopped up bananas and strawberries.
you grabbed two cups from the cabinet and a sippy cup. you grabbed three oranges from the refrigerator and a orange squeezer.
as you squeezed the last orange joe and baby burrow walk into the kitchen, giving you a kiss on the cheek.
joe put baby burrow in his high chair where his small portions of waffles, eggs, sippy cup, and fruit were waiting for him.
you handed joe his plate and glass of orange juice. "thank you baby." he said, giving you a peck on the lips.
you grabbed your plate, glass of orange juice, and joined your boys at the table.

a/n: I saw Taylor last week!! so to celebrate i wrote this little dad!joe blurb, i hope you enjoy it!
It was your daughter Emma's 13th birthday, and you and Joe wanted to make it extra special. You knew how much she loved Taylor Swift, so Joe came up with the perfect plan: he got Emmatickets to Taylor Swift's concert that was happening the same night as her birthday.
You could hardly contain your excitement as you watched Emma open the envelope with the tickets inside. Her face lit up with joy as she realized what they were for. "I can't believe it!" she exclaimed, hugging both you and Joe tightly. "This is the best birthday ever!"
You spent the day preparing for the concert, decorating the house with Taylor Swift-themed decorations and making a playlist of all her hit songs to play at the pre-party. Emma sang along to every song, dancing and jumping around with excitement.
As it got closer to the time for the concert, you all piled into the car and drove to the venue. Emma couldn't stop thanking her dad for the amazing gift, and you could see the happiness radiating from her.
When the concert finally began, Emma was over the moon. She sang along to every song, cheered at every dance move, and you cried when Taylor performed Sweet Nothing, you always played that song as a lullaby when she was a baby, reminding you of how you ended up with the love of your life and your baby girl who was not a baby anymore. You and Joe watched her with pride, knowing that you had given her an unforgettable birthday experience.
As the concert came to an end and you all made your way back to the car, Emma turned to her dad and said, "You're the best dad ever. Thank you so much for this amazing birthday gift!" Joe smiled at her and hugged her tight. "Anything for my little girl," he said, his heart overflowing with love.
As you drove back home, you all reminisced about the incredible night and how much fun you had together. It was a birthday that Emma would never forget, and you knew that it would always hold a special place in your hearts.

blurb night request: joe being away and missing his baby
Missing the Baby Bliss|| Joe Burrow x reader
Tumblr media
•pairing: Joe Burrow x reader
•summary: Joe misses his girls during an away game
•warnings: mentions of pregnancy, babies, sad joe, crying, some angst and some fluff
"I know Josie, It's OK sweetie," you cooed softly as you tried to sooth the wailing newborn in your arms. "I miss daddy too." You gently rocked your daughter as you sat down in the rocking chair in her nursery.
Tomorrow was the day of the AFC Championship. Joe tried to stay home and be with you and your week old baby girl, but you insisted that you'd be fine without him for a few days. The city of Cincinnati and Bengals fans all over the country needed him in Arrowhead this weekend.
Joe's departure to Kansas City was a little rough for all three of you. Many tears were shed, mostly from Joe. He didn't want to leave his daughter so soon, but most of all, he didn't want to leave you. Even though you weren't having any problems, Joe knew how hard postpartum can be. He wanted to be there with you, by your side, every step of the way in case you needed something. It took a lot of reassurance from you, but you were able to convince Joe to get on the plane with the rest of his team.
The last words you said to your husband before he got on the plane were: “Go win your girls an AFC championship."
And that's just what Joe planned on doing. Winning the game for his girls.
Josie continued to wail as you rocked her. You frowned deeply at the sound of your babys cries. It always hurt your heart when Josie wailed like this. Nothing seemed to calm the baby girl when she got like this, nothing except for being skin to skin with her father. Which unfortunately for the both of you, wasn't possible right now. Josie has always been a daddy's girl. Even when she was in your belly she was a daddy's girl. Since she started kicking in the womb, Joe has always been able to calm her in ways that you couldn't. That sweet little girl had her daddy completely wrapped around her finger, and both you and Joe loved it.
You started to gently pat Josie's back as you rocked her against your chest. It took a couple minutes, but between the rocking, gentle patting, and your soothing heartbeat, your baby girls wails eventually stopped. You smiled contently and laid you head against the back of the rocking chair. As soon as you closed your eyes, your phone started going off. You opened your eyes and sat up slightly, cooing softly at the baby on your chest, careful not to disturb her. Josie let out a few grunts and baby noises as you repositioned her so that you could grab your phone. Joe's name flash across the screen, trying to FaceTime you. You smiled as you clicked the green accept button. The call started and Joe's face appeared on the screen. A soft smile was on his face as he looked at you holding his daughter against your chest.
"Hi Joe." you said, smiling softly at your husband. "Hi baby," he replied, his smile matching yours, "How you holding up?"
"Good. We had a little moment a few minutes ago, but she's all good now." You brought the phone up to your chest, angling it enough for Joe to get a good look at his beautiful baby girl. "I think she just misses her daddy." You said softly, keeping the camera on Josie. Joe stayed silent on the other line as he just looked at Josie. He missed her so much. It broke his heart being away from the two of you, even if it was just for a couple days.
"I miss her too." Joe said, his voice quiet as he spoke. You could tell he was trying to hold back his emotions. You looked at Joe on the phone, a frown on your face as you noticed the tears threatening to fall from his blue eyes. He sniffed softly as he brought his hands up to his eyes, wiping away the unshed tears. You watched a tear fall down his cheek as Josie started to make those sweet newborn noises that never failed to warm both yours and Joe's hearts.
"Awe, Joe," you said in a sympathetic tone, "It's OK." Joe nodded as he sniffled again, "I know. It's just hard to be away from both of you right now. I don't want to miss anything, y'know?"
"I promise you won't miss anything, Joey." You assured, "She'll still be this tiny by the time you come back home."
Joe smiled softly at your words before taking a minute to compose himself. You moved the phone so that both you and Josie were in the frame for Joe to see. He sighed softly, a slight waver in his tone as he spoke.
"I wish you were here, sweetheart."
You smiled sadly at your husbands words, "I wish we were there too. But we'll be cheering you on from home all day tomorrow."
As much as you and Joe both wanted you to be at Arrowhead for the game, the two of you know it's best for you and your daughter to stay home. The fans can be ruthless sometimes, plus, you weren't ready to take your newborn baby into a public setting like that quite yet. So it was best for you and Josie to be home, despite how much it hurt Joe's heart to leave his girls behind in Cincinnati.
"Promise me you'll send lots of pictures?" Joe asked, keeping his eyes on his baby girl that was sound asleep on your chest. You nodded, smiling warmly at Joe, "I promise."
"Good," Joe said, sounding happy with your answer. He glanced at a clock and let out a soft sigh as he looked back at his phone. "I'm sure you're tired, so I'll let you go."
"Okay," you said, voice quiet so you wouldn't wake your daughter, "I'll talk to you tomorrow if you have time."
"I always have time for you, Y/n."
You blushed at his words, a grin on your face as you said goodbye to your husband. You brought the phone back down to Josie one last time before you hung up.
"We love you so much daddy."
Joe smiled warmly, "And I love you girls, so much. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye Y/n," his voice went up an octave before he continued, "Bye Josie girl."
With that, you and Joe waved goodbye before hanging up at the same time.
As much as Joe missed the baby bliss, he couldn't wait to go win the championship for his two favorite girls.

Tumblr media
Saturday's in the spring are arguably the most peaceful yet stressful days in the Burrow household. Having to entertain three kids all day was quite a chore, but Joe's home so, how difficult can it be? the answer to that question is probably not what you'd expect. With their husbands around most people get more done, but when you're husbands here, you might as well count him in with the kids.
Waking up at 7:40 instead of the crack of dawn to get everyone ready for school is the highlight of the morning. Joe's in bed too.
"Rise and shine, Joseph," your voice was barely understood due to your face being shoved into your pillow, glancing over in your man's direction proved he was no where near rising and shining. Invading his personal space was amazing, especially when he still warm from sleeping.
The skin of your cheek nuzzled against his chest, listening to the thump thump of his heartbeat. His presence alone was beyond comforting, he was just the person who could calm any stress or anxieties you felt. You pressed quick, chaste kisses to his bare collarbone, inhaling his scent, allowing it to flood your nose.
He began to stir ever so lightly, his lashes fluttering a bit as his eyes opened. The stare of his piercing eyes on you was inevitable when waking up this way, "morning, mama," he spoke up for the first time. His voice was still riddled with sleep, sounding a bit deeper, "Good morning," you beam, still giddy over the nickname that's stuck for as long as you can remember, long before you even were a mama.
Joe enjoyed the way you hid your face in his chest when he called you names or told you how much he loved you. Still blushing like the teen girl in glasses you were in high school, he'd never get over your reactions.
You both soaked in your bit of quiet time, Annika was old enough to be sleeping in a bit later than she used to in the earlier stages, thank God. But she still screamed bloody murder if left alone in her crib for long enough. Meaning times like this were few and far between.
Geo, on the other hand, climbs out of his bed and runs straight down the hall to bang on your bedroom door. Who needs an alarm clock when you have a five year old anyway? Speak of the devil, the all too familiar knocking of tiny fist against the white wood was a snap back into reality.
"Mama, I'm hungry," he whined, slapping the surface of the door he hadn't yet master how to open. Baby proofing the doorknobs proved very effective in his and his sister's case, however Dallas had figure out the concept rather quickly, he knew his boundaries in the house so no problem there.
"Mom's coming, Geo, go check on your sister, yeah?" Joe shouted slightly, just loud enough for the boy to hopefully hear him, his tiny feet could be heard across the hardwood floors. Joe watched you slide out from under the warm linens, stretching out your muscles, and heading in the direction of the in suite as you yawned.
Joe took advantage of this time to get himself up as well, opening to bedroom door so the kids could come and go if needed. The sound of the door creaking caught your attention, peeking your head around the doorway, Joe laughed a bit at your state. Hair pulled back so it was in your face, purple tooth brush pressed against your cheek, and tooth paste adorning the corner of your pretty lips, always so gorgeous to him, even when you didn't feel it.
Back to what you were doing, in the bathroom, watching your husband join you in the massive mirror, "I've missed you guys so much, y'know?" He mumbled, putting a bit of toothpaste on his toothbrush, keeping a close eye of your reaction.
Nudging him with your shoulder, "We've missed you more, it's not the same unless we're all here," You inform him, truly, if Joe's not around any bit of fun is dulled considerably. Like there's a void that's only filled by his existence. When Dallas was little, you were able to take him to most of the games, but traveling only got more difficult as your little family expanded, leaving you to stay home and watch the games on tv most of the time.
Kissing his cheek as you dropped your toothbrush into the storage cup on the counter, "I need to go check on Geo, God knows what hes gotten into by now," Joe simply hummed as you headed into the room down the hall that was drowning in pink.
In your defense all the pink was not your idea, Joe was meant to have a little girl at some point and when he found out he was, he drenched her room in Disney princess and pink anything and everything.
The light was on and Geo had his face squished against the bars of the crib, having a conversation with his babbling little sister. The boys loved their girls unconditionally. "Geo baby, go get Dallas up so we can figure out breakfast, please," Geo's a good boy, the most helpful, productive five year old you've ever met, maybe you're biased because he's your baby but even so.
Scooping her up, Annika sat on your hip as you found a diaper in the tiny cabinet you had situated next to her changing table, they were all growing up so fast. Pretty soon she'd be focused on potty training and looking for a time for her to start going to daycare for the entire week. As of now, she went twice a week and on those days you'd be working with Joe's parents on important business stuff.
"I wanna do it!" Joe shouted, running into the door as you laid the baby comfortably on the table, stepping aside for him to do the job instead of you, "Since when do you like being on diaper duty," you asked, arms crossed over your chest, staring up at his face with creased brows. "Since," he glanced at his non-existent watch, "Right now, don't complain Mrs Burrow."
This form of Joe was someone almost no one but you and immediate family knew, comfortable sweats, unruly hair, and a random t-shirt he's probably had since high school, cooing at his little girl. Wrapping up the dirty diaper and dropping it into the trash can, "Good morning, little mama," He greeted, lifting her up into the air as she laughs at his goofy faces and voices.
"Why are you the dilfiest dilf ever?" Another good question, this time asked as you grab a handful of his ass, "Woah there, ma'am watch the hands," He grunted turning to face you, so his bum was out of your reach, "Good question, baby, why are you the milfiestest milf ever?"
Annika looked at you both, trying to comprehend what was going on around he, but she was too invested in the necklace around your neck, her chubby arms reached out for you, just so she could play with the metal. Just as you went to grab her, Joe moved way from you quickly, distracting her from you with more silly faces.
"I don't think milfiestest is a word, Joseph."
