Orko is bored, so he summons a demon from the Dark Dimension to hang out with (hey, it looked cute in the picture). But Daimar’s very presence warps reality, and he is destined to grow into a massive beast that will conquer the world! Fortunately, destiny on Eternia is more of a choose-your-own-adventure type deal.

I genuinely love the resolution of this episode. Despite his terrifying power, Daimar is essentially still a child, and ultimately chooses to help the friends who were kind to him rather than destroy or conquer anything. It’s both sweet and inspiring. Anyway, are we gonna talk about how Orko is besties with the King of the Dark Dimension now?

And now that I remembered, it might be kinda funny if in Revelation Orko and Scareglow actually ended up in the dark dimension after the explosion, and meet up with Daimar again.

Sorry, but the tought about part of Revelation Orko's design (the claws) made me think of the Lilo and Stich record player scene, but instead of the mouth opening, little Adam or Teela opens his hat. Also when I saw Orko clasp his hand like he is praying in Daimar the Demon, it reminded me of the 'Maybe send an angel, the nicest one' meme, but for the diabolical laugh panel the fully formed Daimar. Again, sorry for old and stupid memes, but ever since I came back to motu, they won' t let me rest

The Shaping Staff

Evil-Lyn infiltrates the palace under the cunning disguise of “a better magician than Orko” and wreaks transformative havoc with the Shaping Staff. Skeletor attacks Grayskull with his own evil He-Man. Prince Adam assures his father he’ll be ready to rule someday, “…But not for a long, long time, I hope.” (About 41 years, going by that last MOTU: Revolution trailer)

Episode Highlights:

Orko casually tries to summon a demon for a party trick. Aw, he probably just wanted to hang out with Daimar again!

Honestly, the context doesn’t make this less weird.

Despondos is not truly empty. It has many things and creatures existing within it, but it exists on another wavelength, not noticing the intrusion of Etheria.

Except when magic is used to pierce the veil between perceptions.

A grieving Glimmer is manipulated into attempting the Ritual of Power with Shadow Weaver.

But it goes wrong in a different way than with Micah.

A baby ...demon for lack of a better word appears.

It is rapidly growing and intelligent, and Shadow Weaver may have found the perfect child to mold to her designs.

The Dark Dimension was a twice-seen plot device /setting element in both She-Ra and He-Man classic. It was a place that was a boundary between magic and science, whatever that means. 

 Despondos was an unseen dimension the Horde was banished to in the 2002 He-Man reboot.

The She-Ra reboot of Netflix seems to have tied the two together,

Anyway Daimar came from the Dark Dimension and was a sweety in the old cartoon who Skeletor and Evil-Lyn convinced was destined to conquer Eternia. 

A later episode had She-Ra and Hordak have to work together to survive escaping the Dark Dimension. And Encountered The Dark One, who resembled a larger, purple version of an inter-dimensional mercenary Skeletor once hired.

Perhaps someone who got stuck in the Dark Dimension and went native?

Anyway, the Dark One is like your normal self-declared master of a strange land, being a dick and testing people's morality, but a fair sport about it and was impressed by She-Ra's compassion and unwillingness to escalate a conflict.

I could see him personally investigating the disappearance of an important child and discovering Etheria's existance.

With The Stars Went Demons - A Power Metal Prequel

I wanted to write something ludicrous before getting to work today.

No drafting or editing we die like fanficcers.

"You are asking us to believe that not only did the Horde know about these creatures of darkness, but that it was formed to fight them?" Queen Angella's voice was incredulous.

"Yep! That's why Hordak is here! He told me the story actually! And the Fright Zone's historical logs back it up!" Entrapta was entirely too pleased about the demon apocalypse currently going on.

"Wait." Adora now. "What story?"

"Oh! How her arrived on Etheria!"

The alliance members glance at each other.

"Oh I can tell you! It's a really good story!" No one really has the energy to stop her.

The Demon Wars had been raging for countless millennia. Hordak's own species had been among the first of the younger races to see and stand against the creatures of the beyond but in time others joined under their banner. Forming the Horde.

It is a brutal regime. A place where every single person must give their life to the war machine. Where countless ships and soldiers do battle every day. Where for all their effort it is only just enough to hold back the end of all things. At any time a single key battle gone wrong could bring universal annihilation.

So it was that Lord Hordak joined one such battle.

The Evil Demon Star Wizard Daimar had begun the dread incantations upon the solar gateway above Eternia. These incantations would tear open a pathway into the dark dimension and allow the Dark One himself to be unleashed upon the universe.

The Robotic Space Knights of the lost First Ones Star League, a mysterious and ancient power that the Horde believed was actually long dead, were already engaged in battle. They could not win alone.

At the speed of Light Hordak's fleet arrived. The Lord himself dropping onto the solar gateway with his Battleaxe forged from Crystalized Lasers in hand.

"Pathetic Batling! Your weapon are nothing to me! Accept your eternal demise!" Daimar's voice range through the minds of all present in the system! Yet the Horde soldiers knew such a taunt was nothing but fear from the demon sorcerer!

Hordak's fleet fired their mighty guns upon the star eaters that emerged from the nascent portal. Hordak himself and his mightiest warriors fought across the solar gateway platform, determined to slay Daimar!

But alas! It is to no avail! The portal begins to open! They are too late! Within ancient castle Grayskull below an ancient sorceress whispers that the Dark One is upon them all...

All seemed lost, when suddenly the robot champion of the First Ones Space Knights steps forward. It's chest opening, revealing the tamed neutron star within! The metal star warrior knows what it must do! All it has seen and known must be lost, sacrificed, to save the universe!

With speed faster than any laser the champion plunges into the chaos portal, detonating its impossible heart.

With an implosion powerful enough to vibrate spacetime and generate star sound the solar gateway is destroyed. Tearing a dimensional vortex in the heavens!

Daimar's flesh body destroyed he had no choice but to plunge into the portal! Vanishing into the empty dimension of Despondos!

Realizing that this battle was far from over Lord Hordak guided his Command Dreadnought into the wormhole after the demon.

For the Eternal Glory of the Horde.

Drew up the major key character Daimare for the comic I'm working on. For anyone that missed it before, the character is based on JoJo Part 5 + series artwork. So that explains the color choice, outfit, and lipstick for example.
