hey. y’all notice how many other toons don’t seem to like rodger/his investigations.

i could be wrong and also some of these i picked out don’t have to with this specifically, but i get the feeling it might be because he’s like. acknowledging and digging into What Went Wrong, the shutdown and dandy’s operation, and trying to get them to as well. and i get the feeling a lot of the toons are still in the denial stage of grief.

Ok - and I think I've heard people theorize this before - but what if the reason Dandy wants tapes so bad is because watching his cartoon is the only thing keeping him from turning lethal?

He's heavily implied to be obsessed with the past, such as when Connie says that all Dandy talks about with Astro is just old episodes;

So what if it's the reminiscing about old times that keeps him a toon?

And when he doesn't get any tapes the first couple of times, he starts to show visible distress/impatience as well as showing signs of turning lethal [i.e; the red dots in his eyes]

Which, yes, could mean that he's becoming lethal because he's getting desperate, but there's a chance that it could mean he's getting desperate because he's becoming lethal. If that makes any sense.

DW headcannons pt. 1

Dandy is hypersensitive to sound:

He hates loud noises, it makes his head hurt and it makes him feel like his brain will explode. He realized that something was wrong when a train was build in Gardenview.

He told it to Delilah but after doing some tests she didn't find anything unusual, so she claimed that Dandy is either overreactingor being dramatic for attention.

Dandy actually believed that he is in fact delusional and is imaginating it. After all, no other toon was complaining. So he thinks that it's all in his head. (Which sucks for him cause his shop is literaly so close to the train).

Even thought he hates loud sounds, he hates silence too. Maybe because it makes him feel so empty. That's why he usually lissens to some gentle music when he is alone and he prefers quuet toons company. Like his best buddy Astro for example!

It dosen't mean he hates loud toons. After all his own dog Pebble is a little loud gremlin sometimes. Luckily for him his friends try to be rather quiet around him noticing his discomfort whenever it's too loud around.

It isn't always working, but Dandy is happy they are trying!

Episode hc.

There was an episode in the early 2000s where the toons go to the beach and bring Shrimpo with them.

Shrimpo pushes Scraps into the water and she takes him with her and he like. Just stops moving.

Scraps gets help from Sprout, Sprout brings him out of the water, Shrimpo isn't waking up, Sprout shakes him really really hard

AND SHRIMPO LETS OUT THE MODTLY GASTLY SNORE KNOWN TO MAN.

Sprout, in a fit of pure fear, chucks him into the dirt behind him.

Shrimpo wakes up n he's all mellow.

Like. No yelling. He's not angry AT ALL.

In fact, hes like "Hey dude wassup" and then he almost falls asleep again. But Sprout is all like "WHAT THE FUDGE????????"

Some important parts of that episode that lores the shrimpo:

He goes to get a sandwich from a cooler, boxten is by the cooler, boxten gets all scared (rightfully so) and gives shrimpo his half-eaten sandwich covers his head. Shrimpo's like "Dude that's your sandwich" and gives it back and then walks away and boxten is all like "what the hell".

Finn tries to provoke shrimpo, but the shrimp just goes "Dude... what are we................" And then walks back to the water and just floats away.

Eventually at the end of the episode, everyone is uncomfortable and tries to get shrimpo away from the beach but he gets angry and starts biting everyone and when they get back to Gardenview the episode cuts to a part of shrimpo in his room and it's shown that it was all an act to bully the toons in the worst way possible by making them think that their beloved angry guy wasn't angry any more.

The toons are taught that they love shrimpo just the way he is and its uncomfortable any other way.
