Since it’s Kaito’s birthday today, I decided to post his design for the DanganSEKAI AU!

(Note: As of now, I only have a drawing of Kaito’s band outfit. However, I do plan on drawing Kaito’s casual and school outfit later.)

Come to think of it, although Kaito has the guitar and leadership qualities of Ichika, he also has the personality and the general story-role of Saki, as well as the hair-stars and personality of An.

Thank you, Myth!

ُThis is something that has been on my mind, ever since I've settled on Gonta being Emu in my DanganSEKAI AU: how Gonta would talk.

Since Gonta isn't raised by wolves in this AU (I'm going to downplay a lot of backstories in this AU), I'd imagine that Gonta wouldn't speak in the caveman talk that he did in canon. And it's honestly kind of cursed (yet adorable) to imagine Gonta saying something like "super-duper-sparkly-warkly-jiggly-wiggly-huzzah-ful". Currently, I'm imagining this Gonta's speech patterns to be some kind of weird combination of speaking in the third person, using high-class vocabulary, and mixing in random made-up words (words like ecstatical-licious or magifimagical) to sound more "gentlemanly". I also imagined that Gonta would use "Butter-hi!" and "Butterbye" as greetings, much like Emu's "Wandahoi!".

I was also wondering about the general motif of the Gokuhara-owned theme park. I'd imagine that it would be a gigantic botanical garden (complete with a wide-variety of butterflies and fruit plants, and possibly their own brand of fruit spreads) that also happens to have performance stages. Gonta's parents would plan on getting rid of the gardens, and it would be up to Garden X Grandness to convince them not to. I was originally considering the park to be cowboy-themed, as a reference to Gonta's execution, before scrapping that. (Maybe I could turn this idea into an event.)

Because Kaito still retains his interest in plants, I'd imagine that he would be a massive fan of this theme park and go there all the time with Aries/Quad.

(On an extra note, I've also enacted some talent swaps on the cast, to make them seem somewhat more probable in the slice-of-life setting. Kaito is now an Astronomer, Maki is now an actual Child Caregiver, Celestia is now a Magician, Mondo is now a Motorcyclist, Fuyuhiko is now a CEO, Kiibo is now a Gamer, and HPF/Midnight are now all Reserve Course Students.)

I'm currently having brainrot for my AU, so take these Aries/Quad headcanons!

When it comes to favorite foods, Aries/Quad can easily be divided into the Sweet Tooths (Kaede with her strawberry shortcake and Shuichi with his blueberry muffins) and the Carnivores (Kaito with his beef jerky and Maki with her croquettes).

Kaede is everyone's favorite cuddle buddy, and the rest of Aries/Quad love resting their heads on her stomach, thighs, and even her chest. Body-related insecurities are sure to vanish whenever the three are around her.

Back when Erika and Kaede entertained Kaito in the hospital, Kaito found Erika so awesome that he sought to emulate her. This means that Aries/Quad can also be divided into "people who idolize Erika" (Kaito/Kaede) and "people who are annoyed by Erika" (Shuichi/Maki).

Once Kaito was out of the hospital, the first thing he did was work out regularly. So imagine everybody's shock when he turned from a short and skinny boy with a high-pitched voice into a tall and buff man with a hot baritone voice.

(On that note, high school Kaito was most likely Shuichi's bi awakening.)

(Although they all wish Kaito kept his old mop hair, as opposed to whatever over-gelled monstrosity he currently has.)

Shuichi and Maki love to steal Kaede and Kaito's clothes. Chances are, if something in their wardrobe is pink/purple and/or has a musical/space motif, it's from either of the two.

(On a similar note, if anyone's wearing a novelty cap, chances are it was snatched from Shuichi's wardrobe.)

Shuichi regularly invited the rest of Aries/Quad to watch murder mystery movies with him. The rest of Aries/Quad (especially Kaito) get rather frightened at all the gory twists and turns, but it's all worth it to see their boyfriend's eyes light up, when he successfully guesses the true murderer.

(To help them unwind, they watch some of Maki's favorite kid's shows over some of Shuichi's famous blueberry muffins.)

Autistic special interest info-dumping all the way!

Since three out of the four members have long hair, they regularly form braid-trains. They always make sure to style Shuichi's hair so he doesn't feel left out.

No matter how much they wish to help, Shuichi and Maki should never allow either Kaede or Kaito to help in the kitchen. Something WILL either break or explode.

Chizu/Cheese (Shuichi's bloodhound) absolutely LOVES the rest of Aries/Quad, and Aries/Quad loves him back.

New DanganSEKAI Offshoot?

That moment when, while planning the DanganSEKAI AU, you started creating "Nightcord at 25:00, but it's the THH victims" (complete with my personal gender/sexuality headcanons for them).

A hikikomori-version of Sayaka takes the role of Kanade, who still wishes to spread happiness with her singing and music, even if it's over the internet. (she/her, aromantic asexual)

Kiyotaka takes the role of Mafuyu, having been constrained by expectations placed on him by both others and himself, leaving Taka an empty husk of a man (although he tries to be regular shouty-stick-in-the-mud Kiyotaka, when at school). (he/him, gay)

Hifumi takes the role of Ena, a massive celebrity online but a social misfit in real-life, who is dedicated to her massive collections of fandoms and the truckloads of fanart and fanfiction that arises from that advent passion. (she/her, trans lesbian)

Chihiro takes the role of Mizuki, a timid and kindhearted youth who's a prodigy in all things technology and a lover of all things cute, was scared into hiding by his school's bullies and yearns to become an ideal man, without discarding his love for cute things, in order to prove his bullies wrong. (he/him, GNC trans pansexual)

Also imagined an interaction between the group.

Hifumi: (coming out to the group) Yeah! I'm gay!

Chihiro: ...Oh! Taka's gay too! You should try dating!

Taka: Huh?...

Hifumi: (wheezing in laughter) T-That's not how it works!

Chihiro: (confused)

Sayaka: He's still new to this. I'm sorry.

Hifumi: (still laughing) It's okay!

Chihiro: (still confused)
