Hi,

I make period drama style gifs. If you use gif packs, please like and reblog them.

Unfortunately, business transactions via PayPal are not available in my country, which makes it impossible to purchase GIF packs on Payhip.com. If you would like to purchase a GIF pack, please send the amount to forestench@gmail.com. Also, make sure to include the name of the GIF pack you want in a personal message, and I will send it to you via email.

Most of my projects are already ready, but every day I post no more than 190 gifs. Because that was the reason why my previous account was blocked. I tried to make gif packs in a format more familiar to you with a link to a separate page. However, unfortunately, I did not succeed because of the large format of high-quality gifs.

I want to explain about color processing. Usually, I improve the contrast, brightness and saturation, but leave the naturalness of the film. I don't make the contours too sharp because I like the aesthetic of it looking like a natural image.

BIOGRAPHY

Surrounded by her family Brooklyn Oliver never really wanted for much, the unruly boisterous child always following closely in the shadow of one of her siblings. Each seemed to instill a different quality in the impressionable bright eyed girl and for that she would be forever grateful to each. Moving to Marina Island at the age of eight however, the youngest in the Oliver clan would've sworn black and blue that was when her life really begun.

Despite the lack of pressure from her parents, Brooklyn was was always aware that she lacked the same fundamental ambition and drive that would lead each and every one of her siblings into converted careers. In that sense, she was very much the black sheep of the family leaning towards her creative talents in the world of art and dance. Drawing had always brought her about a sense of peace, but dancing, dance was where she really found herself.

At the age of ten she met the ever charismatic boy next door who very quickly became her best friend and at fourteen it was evident to everyone around them that there was more than simply puppy love brewing beneath the surface. Brook believed whole heartedly she had found her soulmate, no so much as bating an eyelid in the direction of another. Queue the one tree hill soundtrack. Getting married at seventeen while it would have been frowned upon by most, it took a small amount of pleading on Brooklyn's part to entice her parents to support her decision. Mateo was already apart of the family in their eyes.

The next chapter of her life was nothing but a whirlwind, embarking through college with her husband at her side, pursuing her dream of becoming a professional dancer; they were able to chase their dreams together, hand in hand. That was until a knee injury had her retiring much earlier than she had anticipated, which lead her into the world of teaching. A decision that worked in their favour given it meant more time at home to try for a family of their own.

It wasn't something she had ever anticipated struggling with, conceiving and yet no matter what they tried nothing seemed to work and slowly but surely a small seed of resentment grew. Towards herself for not being able to do the one thing that she had wanted from the moment they tied the knot. They had careers they both loved, a home to call their own and each other, just not a child.

Then came the divorce of her parents. The one couple she had always looked up to as the epitome of love and all the very personification of soulmates, or so she believed. It was but the icing on the top of an already rocky top heavy cake. For if they couldn't make it, how in the hell could she and Mateo? Overwhelmed, hurting and entirely confused, Brooklyn made the hasty decision to get some space. Packing a bag she left the home they had built together, in an attempt to get her life back on track; leaving behind something she wasn't sure she could salvage.

Oh, the joys of modern dating.

In a world of fast-pace, the strive to be and look the best (in person and online, we had to seriously post that we ran 17 miles today and share our super healthy smoothie to feel validated, and hey that’s totally okay), serious FOMO, all the things that lead to a quick way of dating. There’s no time to actually meet people and get interested when there’s so little time in the jam packed days we’ve created for ourselves.

So that’s why we result to this - online dating. The wonderful, beautiful, tragic app called Tinder. The little flame icon that stares you back in the face after you’ve already downloaded it. Now you’re clicking on it, creating a profile for yourself. Selecting ONLY pictures you allow yourself to post. One with a dog, because hey, if you love animals, you’re a great person. One with your friends - oh you won’t be too clingy, and you’re not a total creep! Oh, you’re in a club? Red flag or does that just say you like to let loose and have a great time?

This was what Riley Brooks had resulted to. In all the glory of her life, a more than recent heartbreak, try six months, a waitress with a degree, living in a small studio apartment with a balcony that has the most beautiful views of NYC - a brick wall, this was what had happened.

In efforts to help the girl move along, her two closest friends, Daniel and Cassie, were sitting on either side of her, selecting pictures in her camera roll. “Your eyes look so pretty in this.” “Look at your ass! Gotta know if they can handle it!” “This picture really says you have your life together.” Riley was more than grateful for her friends but in this moment she wanted to sink in a hole.

“Okay, a good bio. Hmm, well you don’t wanna come off too casual because people will think you just want a hookup. You don’t want to be too serious because then guys are gonna think you’re uptight and a prude.” Riley rolls her eyes at Daniel who is simultaneously creating a biography that will probably hype her up way past her abilities.

“Okay, the lady is all set up. Now we wait for the matches to roll in. Get to swiping, Riley Brooks.” Cassie now passes the phone to Riley. “Time to shine.”

Are there any stereotypes you can think of that I should keep in mind to avoid? I know the Angry Black Woman, The Mammy, and Sassy Black Friend are ones to keep an eye on. But are there any others you might know that tend to trend in the rpc that don't get mentioned as much? Or get ignored when brought up?

Or any faceclaim suggestions? I know a lot of times darker skinned black women are lacking in general and I'd love to be able to rec them for skeletons.

you nailed the main ones! the angry black woman, the mammy, the sassy black friend, the coon, the uncle tom, sambo, all of those caricatures that you could find in uncle tom's cabin. honestly, you just gotta worry about the three you listed because those are the main ones that people may try to portray ( i honestly don't think a lot of nonblacks are aware of most of these stereotypes unless they were forced to learn about it ). but understand that i'm not saying that your black muses CANT have the traits from the three you mentioned, just don't center your muse around JUST that.

[TASK 117: THE WABANAKI CONFEDERACY]

In celebration of November being Native American Heritage Month, here’s a masterlist below compiled of over 60+ Abenaki, Maliseet, Mi’kmaq, Passamaquoddy, or Penobscot faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. The Wabanaki Confederacy was a powerful confederacy of indigenous peoples in the US and Canada founded in 1606 of the the culturally and linguistically related Abenaki, Maliseet, Mi’kmaq, Passamaquoddy, and Penobscot tribes. The Wabanaki Confederacy broke apart in 1862, but have since reestablished their confederacy as of 1993. If you want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever faceclaim or whichever project you desire.

We've said this about Lizzo, it's because she's black and fat. She doesn't fit into the standard beauty standards of whatever the rpc has in mind.
