So a silly headcanon I’d have for him is this boy had next to no explicit combat or field experience prior to being enlisted into the Ace Ops. When he was there though he kind of gets thrown into the whole baptism of fire kinda thing, rations in the field while hunting Grimm, talking to people outside of the army as well to find out all these things about the terrain. And it isn’t like he’s bad at it but he’s more on the nervous skittish side and flocked behind his allies and fellow ace operatives a ton and sort of blended how they deal with things into how he deals with mission issues.
