      sorry to be as cliche as humanly possible  ,  but it’s hard for me to think of anything else  but  the journey OST at the the mention of shurima as a whole  ,  especially when its current empress is at the precipice  .         achara has made an effort to die in the past  ,  but to conflict against kindred would mean she'd have to acquire some reason to do so  .  a desire for more time to fill her role as empress in order to overcome the fear of failure  ,  or even a desperation for true immortality  ,  should achara find that particular flavor of power corrupting through the acceptance of her darkin abilities  ,  a desire to properly confront her mother           there are plenty of reasons she might seek to challenge kindred on the call to her final rest  .  what matters is that in the logic of video games and what a ‘ boss battle ’ would normally entail  ,  achara is hypothetically the protagonist  &&  player in this situation  ,  so we should sympathize with her goal to defeat kindred in some manner  .         as such i selected this song from the OST in particular for the sense of panic  ,  &&  envisioned it as a  ‘ boss fight ’  in the manner of escaping a threat in a side-scrolling platformer or something of that sort  ( see  :  ori  &&  the blind forest  )  ,  rather than achara fighting kindred in combat  .  she cannot defeat death  ,  but perhaps in the narrative of a game like this  ,  she can outrun them for a little while  .

A warm evening

She arrived a few hours ago and settled herself in the town square, finding the fountain area the perfect place for her intended goal. Shurima was filled with many people, ranging from the Shuriman themselves to travelers all over Runeterra. There were many traders and adventurers alike, some seeking fame and fortune through treasure hunting in the lost runes and tombs of the ancient place, while some simply wanted to look for excitement in their lives. It was a city that she needed to be in due to the population and the closeness of it to her home.

Althea knew how to speak Shuriman and was decent in understanding it but she wasn't fluent with it, which was probably why she was having a problem trying to get her words across the people about her Matron. While some would look to her with a different light in their eyes, most were judging and found her a nuisance which was something the Lunari was used to, except, she would always try to make them understand.

"It might not be something you would believe in but the children of the Moon has been around for many years. Centuries to Millennia even. Mayhap you have not seen them for they went hiding but I am here, hoping to make them feel safe to come out for we are searching for them. We are also opening our doors to those who are willing to join our family if they so wished."

She hoped she would find someone in that city. If anything, just to be able to learn about the place was already a reward itself. But little did she know that her life was going to change that very day.
