CALICO Travel report 2021 7.2 Friday -12 Monday open 12:00 - 19:00 close 7/6 Tuesday 昨日は開店からCALICOの小林さんと一緒にたくさんのお客さまをお迎えできました。ありがとうございました。小林さんの在廊は昨日のみです。 ご報告が遅くなりましたが、今回の売上の10%を小林さんを通じてインドの各地のハンドクラフト部門、手仕事布産業などの手工芸に携わる団体へ寄付させていただきます。 インド各地で猛威を振るう新型コロナウィルスのニュースはメディアを通じて発信されています。インド各地の村々で家族や小規模なコミュニティ内で作られることの多い手仕事布。糸づくり、染め、織り、縫製と、それぞれの技術を持つ村々を横断しながら完成されCALICOの製品はList:に届けられました。そのひとつでも活動ができなくなると製造が継続できなくなるものや、技術そのものの継承が止まってしまう可能性も否定できません。 長らくインドの手工芸の現場に携わって来られ、現在も毎日各地の職人や団体の方たちとオンラインで仕事のやりとりと共に伝わるインドの現状を踏まえ、皆さんからお預かりしたお金を小林さんなら本当に必要な人たちへ届けていただけると信じて決めました。微力ではありますが、今回の展示がインドの手工芸を継承してゆく助けになればと思っています。 以下、CALICOウェブサイトより寄付についての小林さんの報告を抜粋させていただきます。 #Repost @calicoindiajp with @make_repost ・・・ 5月にはじめたインドへのチャリティ、たくさんのみなさまにご協力をいただき誠にありがとうございました。 コロナの新規感染者数の伸びも少し落ち着き、CALICOのデリーチームも稼働しています。 みなさまの清きご寄付が偏りなく活かされるように、活動領域や経験、資金ニーズの高さが違う団体を敢えて選定しました。 1. 【CALICO展での売上のチャリティ送金済のご報告】長文です 7月に開催したCALICO TRAVEL REPORT2021 で皆様からお預かりいたしました売上が無事お渡しできたとキヤリコ代表の小林史恵さんよりご報告をいただきました。 史恵さんがつながるインド各地の織物繊維業界に関わるファンドや団体の中から、私が送金をお願いしたのは、タルミナド州で原種コットンの栽培や普及する活動を行っている団体でした。 その理由は、史恵さんが著者の中にインドから日本に渡って唐桟留・唐桟(からさんとめ・とうがん)と呼ばれるようになった布のルーツを探りインドを出た港「サントメ」がかつてあった場所を訪れ、その後その港のあるタルミナドで出会ったスワミナサンという男性について書かれた章がとても印象に残っていたからです。 史恵さんが初めてList:に来てくださった時、きっとその布はここから見えるこの出島に届いていたはずですね、と熱い目で窓の外を見られていたのをよく覚えています。その唐桟留が日本に渡り、ヤンマさんの扱う会津木綿の縞柄を含め、日本の綿織物に縞柄人気が広まったとされ、その縁でList:でも開催したヤンマ産業とCALICO の共同企画展「ワーペンウエフト」がはじまったご縁を感じていました。 本の中では、スワミナサン氏が原種オーガニックコットンを栽培する前に、化学と抗癌の研究を行っていた事。彼が日本のガラ紡に興味を持っている事が書かれています。そしてその困難な事業へ協力している農家の方々一人ひとりの方に少しでも支援でき、活動が続く様にと願っていました。 私の願い通り長崎のお客さまからお預かりした売上が、その団体に関わる20名の方に緊急支援をすべき人々に渡ったとのご報告をいただきホッとしています。3枚目の写真はそのお渡しした記録です。 インドに行った事がない私が想像できる事はほんの少しで、キヤリコの小林さん、現地スタッフの方は現地とのやりとりや、送金業務などは本当に骨の折れる仕事だったと思われます。 これまで小林さんが築かれてきた現地でのネットワーク、関わる人たちとの事業だけではない深い関係性があるからこそ安心してお預けすることができました。本当にありがとうございました。 #Repost @calicoindiajp with @make_repost ・・・ インドへのチャリティ送金ご報告 We have transferred all the donations / charity funds to the selected organizations and initiatives KaskomによるFUND（仮）：タミルナド州で原種コットンなどの生産・普及を手がけるKaskomのSwaminathan による、原種コットン農家と現地の織り師コミュニティの緊急・医療と生活基盤構築サポート＜規模性や支援経験は乏しいが、末端の農家や織り師に繋がっていて、発起人の実行力は高い。資金調達力は限定的なため、当初のCALICO経由資金の貢献度は高くなる見込み＞” ◯　10/20から10/28にかけて、Swaminathanが現地の生産団体の代表やソーシャルワーカーらと選定した20名にひとり8032ルピーずつ、合計160,640ルピー（242,000円）を送金 Kaskomは、任意団体でなく個人の活動であるため、どのような方法で誰に配分するか、協議し実行するのにとても時間を要しました。タミルナド州のKannurやDindugalの近郊を中心に、Kaskomの仕事を請け負うケララ州の織り師も一部含み、緊急支援をすべき織り師と手紡ぎの女性を、世帯単位での所得状況を把握した上で選定し、デリーにいるCALICOのインド人スタッフより直接送金しました。 コロナ禍で夫を亡くしたケースなどを優先しました。コロナ禍の大きな影響がない家庭でも、そもそも困窮しているケースなどは寄付の対象としました。コロナに罹った老人がいましたが、企業勤めの息子や娘がいる場合などは、対象外としました。 寄付金は、多くの場合、医療や生計のために使われました。１ヶ月の生活費にも��たない金額でしたが、支えになったと言っていただきました。 皆様から預かったお金を迅速に且つ信用が担保できる形で各団体に送らなければいけないプレッシャーもあり、ようやく送金が完了し、ご報告ができて正直なところホッとしています。 さまざまな形でご支援をいただき、本当にありがとうございました。 写真は、2019年に訪れたタミルナド州の手紡ぎや機織りの様子と、送金証明書や記録。 #donation #covid_19 #relief #relieffund #kutchcraftcollective #dastkar #kaskom #swaminathanvaithilingam #calicoindiajp #calicotheartofindianvillagefabrics #calico @kutchcraftcollective @dastkar.delhi @kaskom_desi_cotton @fumie_calico (List:) https://www.instagram.com/p/CWkIgnKF82u/?utm_medium=tumblr
