I have so many rare ships its not even funny, but I don't see many people talking about Mikan x Izuru and thats a shame!

29. Which character should survived in your opinion?

I'm very biased, but I feel like Tenko surviving over Himiko would make things a lot more interesting. Himiko gets a "live and grieve for them" arc we've seen so many times before. But Tenko... Imagine her having to learn to live without Himiko. Imagine having to face the fact that her prejudice for man was literally made up. Maybe her romance arc even gets the Maki treatment!!!

Survivor Tenko had so much potential,I'm sorry.

35. A character who should’ve got more character development?

Toko should have gotten more development, and I don't think she's as redeemed as Kodaka thinks she is. A major character flaw with Toko is that she's complicit in so much violence. She was willing to execute Makoto without a fair investigation in chapter 1. She takes little steps to prevent any Genocide Jack murders.

This isn't a bad thing, but how cool would it be to see that tackled in canon. Instead we got a "you need to learn to make friends" arc that didn't handle any of Toko's larger problems. ;-;

74. What do yo think of Hiyoko Saionji?

I really like her as a character. I feel like a lot of people don't talk about that she's a foil to Mikan, and that they would have gone down together. And while I don't want to excuse bullying, I do think its narratively interesting that Hiyoko is... more in tune with Mikan's true self than any of her friends are? There's a story there.

77. What do you think of the fandom?

I unironically dislike 90% of the fandom.

The way I see it, there are two problems with them.

1.) They think everything is political, when fandom politics should be opt-in. (Looking at you, oh great Chihiro discourse)

2.) They are uncomfortable with the subject matter that exists in Danganronpa, and make that my problem.

Thoughts on Haiji and Monaca's Characters?

Haji did too good at his job. He was supposed to be hateable without giving him a specific backstory that explains Monaca's actions, and is suffering from his own success.

I love Monaca as a character. She can't easily be uwuified like the rest of the Warriors. You can't make this into a black and white conflict due to her existence.

I feel like if you feel no compassion for her, you're missing the message of UDG. Yes, she's abusive. But she's a child, and its likely her backstory was the worst of them all.

Its funny, a Friend of mine has Junko as one of their highest Ships for Mondo due to their Dynamic being "A Bad Boy" x "Pretty Girl" and probably more but i forgot about it

Sure but Mondo literally perceives himself as Junko, in the sense that he thinks he did what she did, and she has no regrets about it.

Mastermind Taka? now that's a first , could you tell me about that?

I feel like Mastermind!Taka changes so much about him that he basically becomes an OC. As a result, I'm not interested.

I don't think Taka would create a killing game even if he did fall to despair. I think he'd say screw this and burn the entire system to the ground. I also feel like he'd create a more fair test of character- and would be absolutely annoyed if people started killing during his glorified escape room where the solution is "get your head out of your butt and work together."

That being said, Traitor!Taka? Fucking DELICIOUS.

Yeah, but I only like that ship in certain contexts and characterizations, so I was torn on if I should include it or not. Like, it'd be low B tier for me, while everything else I mentioned is A tier minimum. (except Soudam. Sorry Soudam.)

Kazuichi Souda

My NOTP for them Soudam. (and Sousondam by extension) I do not see it. I love both characters individually, but they do not have an ounce of romantic tension. Usually rivals to lovers slaps, but... this one failed somehow. My BROTP for them

Him and a wardrobe that doesn't piss me off on bad sensory days. Love his character, fuck his character design. Him and Hajime. My hot take is that his views on Hajime are his views on Sonia - all of the comphet and romantic attraction. My OTP for them Honestly? I really like the canon one sided relationship he has with Sonia. I don't think it will ever be requited, but if you interpret it as him being an abuse victim with a strong fawn reflex that wants Sonia to protect him (which I do.) it is FASCINATING. I want to watch a documentry on it. My second choice pairing for them Him and Junko during the despair era. My HC is that Kazuichi has given up on the concept of romance as a whole by that point, and actively targets couples for murder. There's nothing romantic here, Junko's just a fuckbuddy and bad influence. My fluffy pairing for them He's not a fluffy kind of guy. I am not interested in fluff involving him at all. My angsty pairing for them The two I've already mentioned, but him and Izuru is good too! Izuru takes his place as Junko's top engineer, and the jealousy is very homoerotic. My favorite poly ship for them Does Junko/All Despairs count as a polycule and not a harem? I do not know. My weirdest pairing for them I don't think I have any ships for him that are that weird. Unpopular maybe, but not weird.

Have you read the new Omake for SDRA2?

I have, but I wasn't terribly invested in it. Not a huge fan of authors adding shit to their stories after it was completed (I'm not talking like, full on sequels. But I shouldn't have to stalk an author to be in the fandom, ya know?), so I just read it once and then ignore it.

It was a really a missed opportunity to add an interaction with Tenko, Kazuichi, Teruteru and Miu in S or UTDP (Probably would have been the funniest interaction next to being Hiyoko with Miu and Teruteru)

Yeah, the Whiplash from "A slient girl who barely speaks" to " An Extroverted Girl who doesn't hide her emotions" was really surprising for me, that it feels like KG Mikako and Pre-game Mikako are 2 different characters (Even with their reasons explained) (If i did ship her with anyone other than Yamato, it'd be with Teruya and Rei, with Tsurugi not far behind)

Yesss! and like, the phycological horror of having part of who you are removed could have been upplayed so much. It wasn't and that is disappointing to me.

I could totally see Mikako x Yamato, but Killing Game era only for sad points.
