Joy and Sorrows ~ Plot Drop 01 

as the festivities beginning, a new daily prophet drops. one that no one was expecting with both joyous and sorrow wrapped all on one front page. no author was mentioned anywhere in any article. the articles go as follow:

cato strikes: all throughout great britian, cato slytherin has been reaping terror. some have tried to ignore him and his followers while others have tried to rise against. but as the days go on, his numbers increase as well as his power. and while the ministry has done it’s best to reassure people that everything is okay. some people wonder if there is a chance that there are top officials in the ministry who are compromised or if they are unable to stop the rise of the newest dark wizard to terrorize the wizarding world.

harry potter is dead!: a video with a body turned up of the famous boy who lived, dead. the video showed the horrible torture and murder of the chosen one who defeated voldemort twenty-four years ago. it is a sad day for the wizarding world to lose a symbol of hope, one that has risked his life countless of times to make sure there is a future for everyone. our thoughts are with his kids tonight as we more the once great hero.

azkaban breakout: ever since the last wizarding war the ministry has done a lot to restructure azkaban like getting rid of the dementors. and they have been able to keep it secure since, no breakouts have happened... until now. discovered early this morning any cato slytherin follower or voldemort follower that was not killed in the last war escaped in the dead of night. no one knows how they got out, but they are on the loose and could be anywhere. and there is rumors they have been given new looks and identities to stay hidden.

more kidnappings but also some releases: it’s been a few months since cato and his followers kidnapped and no one has heard anything about their status. after learning about the terrible outcome of what happened to harry, the ministry was expecting the worse... except tonight some of the captives were found released and fine. but as they were discovered more people went missing. unfortunately we have to report that the following people are missing; fleur weasley (nee delacour), andromeda tonks, george weasley, dean thomas, and katie bell. but we are also happy to report that neville longbottom, bill weasley, cho chang, hermione granger-weasley, and ginny potter (nee weasley) are safe being checked over at st. mungos and will hopefully be able to see their families soon.

+ note: everyone in game thinks harry potter is dead, he isn’t. but only elias and a few inner circle people know that his death was faked.

yuri didn’t know how to react when she read the article, it was like all her worst fears wrapped up in one. and she knew that she needed to make sure everyone at the event was protected by whatever may attack them. when she became an auror, she heard the whisperings about cato slytherin and his followers, but never expected it would ever amount to something like this and made the woman a bit fearful for the future. but she was happy that she was an auror to help protect the wizarding community. “i’m working tonight, i really can’t be distracted, sorry.” she told the person.

felicity noticed a familiar housemate, alice was a bit older than her, but she still knew about her even if she has probably never actually talked to her. “hey alice, what are you thinking of the whole celebration thing?” she asked the brunette. she didn’t exactly know to think of it as a celebration because of all the terrible things that had happened. and while most of the events were terrible, some were still good, but it still confused her. @magicaldisasterx​ (alice)

WELCOME BACK FESTIVAL ~ EVENT 01 ~ 12/18-12/23

with the new school year starting up and new people arriving in hogsmeade everyday, the ministry decided to put on a back to school festival in hogsmeade. it is mostly to celebrate the new school year, but also to allow for residents of hogsmeade to meet and get to know their neighbors better. everyone at hogwarts and people who live in hogsmeade are invited. there will be different foods, music, magic, all stores will be open so people can see what they have to offer. and all classes on friday are cancelled for it. 

and while the event is full of fun and excitement, some people are still on edge that during a time like this, the ministry thinks it’s a good idea to throw a party. and maybe they should be right since there seems to always be a darkness hidden in the shadows of the light. 

INFORMATION:

the event takes place over friday and saturday in rp time, but from friday until wednesday out of rp. it will take place from 2pm est-2pm est friday-wednesday

there will be a plot drop over a weekend with new characters who are applicable, so keep your eyes out.

all convos can either be paused or continued from before and during the event. 

every character is required to participate in the event.

unfortunately for malia no matter where she went the girl couldn’t exactly avoid people knowing her family, her grandfather was one of the most dark wizards, and especially during a time when another dark wizard was rising, it made her wish she had any last name other than grindelwald. some people looked at her like maybe she was cato or one of his supporters when she was raised not to believe in that stuff. it was also why her father moved to england before her birth, hoping she wouldn’t face things like this, but unfortunately she still did. “what do you want?” she asked angel. “i’m not really the sociable type.” she added. @magicaldisasterx​ (angel)

brianna liked how her mom’s shop was still open during the event. she was never really a sociable girl, so for the most part she skipped events and just spent the time studying. but since she was forced to come to this one, she decided to spend it with her mom, though she did her best to never really leave the store. “i don’t understand the point of this mom. i mean, the world is under attack and people are dying, but no, lets have a party." she rolled her eyes. @ivorysliverelegance​ (pansy)

elias noticed his brother and went over to him. while everyone was busy discussing the daily prophet article and all the information it gave, elias just ignored it and went on normally. if people asked, it would be because he was head boy and needed to keep things calm for the other students and needed to be a leader figure, but the truth is he knew about everything being written. so he wasn’t surprised, it was a bit amusing seeing how everyone reacted to the articles. “hey leo, enjoying the event?” he asked her brother. @galileo--burke​

once aviva read the daily prophet article, the brunette knew she needed to find her mom. ever since her momma went missing she knew her mom had been very sad, the girl tried everything to cheer her up, but nothing exactly worked. and she knew why, her parents were in love and her mom was worried. so knowing that her momma was okay, she really hoped her mom knew and knew that their family would be safe and together again. “mom.. did you hear? momma is fine and she is safe.” the girl smiled at her mom. @paradiisecircus​ (susan)

isabella noticed a familiar man around hogsmeade, so the brunette tossed the daily prophet she was reading and headed over to her father. she really wasn’t saddened by any of the news because at the end of the day her family was safe and secure. so there was nothing the slytherin needed to worry about. it also reinforced why she knew that she had chosen the right side since she knew her family would avoid anything cato did since they were loyal to him. “hey dad.” she said to her father. “how are you enjoying the night?” she asked him. @aeliusgreengrass​
