Imma cheat just a lil bit and make this one about writing different types of relationships instead of shipping. As a writer, you should be able to write any type of bad, unhealthy and toxic relationship as long as you acknowledge that that shit is bad and as long as you don’t romanticize it in your writing.

Writing these types of relationships can be interesting but at the same time it’s no everyone’s cup of tea and that’s perfectly reasonable. However, you shouldn’t shit on people who do write this kind of stuff since most people online do have tw’s when they’re needed and no one if making you read that stuff.

he's carefully placing a flower - andraste's grace, freshly picked, not dried to the point of crumbling at a single touch or pressed 'tween the pages of a book like a woman into her lover's side at night - into rothgar's hands before he can stop himself. "this is for you. a small gift. of -- ...appreciation?" his speech is awkward and somewhat disjointed, as if embarrassed by the action at all. oops.

 he  halts  at  the  inquisitor’s  behest  while  their  companions  finish  assembling  a  makeshift  campsite  ;  hardly  luxury,  but  a  welcome  reprieve  to  follow  their  long  day’s  trek.   his  limbs  have  grown  weary,  laden  ‘neath  the  burdens  of  weaponry  and  armour,  both  of  which  he  is  eager  to  divest.   and  yet  the  fatigue  seems  to  fade  in  an  instant,  banished  from  his  bones  by  the  other’s  touch  alone   —  a  spark  ignites  at  his  core  and  spreads  like  wildfire  ‘til  he  recognizes  the  telltale  heat  of  a  blush  at his  cheeks.

 its  fresh,  floral  scent  registers  before  the  offering  itself    —    andraste’s  grace,  unless  his  senses  deceive  him.   the  flower  is  not  unheard  of  in  these  parts,  but  rare  nonetheless,  and  enough  to  render  him  speechless.   fingers  close  about  the  stem,  gentle  in  his  handling    (  for  such  a  delicate  thing  could  not  rightly  belong  in  hands  built  for  battle  and  hardship  ).     ❛   a  gift,  indeed?   surely  you  aren’t  picking  favourites,  inquisitor?   varric  would  be  crushed.   ❜     yet  another  jest  made  with  intent  to  armour  himself,  for  little  is  quite  so  lethal  as  false  hope.

Syd, The Internet’s primary singer and songwriter, has said she didn’t set outto turn R&B tropes on their head. But even if reframing the genre’s testosterone-driven songs weren’t an immediate goal, her ability to so thoroughly do so remains one of the most striking aspects of The Internet’s songcraft. Not just because of her LGBTQ perspective—yearning is yearning, after all—but because of Syd’s sensitivity and relatability. Like Ego Deathbefore it, Hive Mind sees her casually capturing the essence of every stage of romantic interaction, but even on the album’s most lustful tracks, she sings not with leering insistence but reassuring sweetness, and her confidence is tempered with realistic cracks, like promises to herself that she’ll “try not to fuck up the flow.” That’s a mantra the band seems to have internalized, too, almost to a fault. For all of Hive Mind’s merits, it still has a tendency to get lost in its own grooves and retread some of the same territory, particularly in its slower, more intimate cuts. But this is still a step forward for this young, talented crew, housing nothing but scintillating performances from Syd and, in the rare moments when the group cuts loose, some seriously intoxicating funk.

☺ : how often does your muse masturbate?

NOT OFTEN ENOUGH??  there’s certainly no aversion or reason at all besides that he’s a workaholic.  he’s the sort who rises early, turns in late, and is working most of the time in between.  whether it be because he’s out with the inquisition forces, or training, or helping with skyhold renovations  —  my boy needs to take a break, but he often doesn’t have time to indulge himself.  that being said, if he’s in a relationship then he’s utterly unable to keep his hands off his partner and they keep his free time occupied.  of course, when he does find time it’s a welcome release.

☌ : would/does your muse have any special piercings anywhere? would they get some?

ahhh i wish i could say that roth has something interesting going on somewhere, but tbh i doubt he would    ( in main verse ).  the aesthetic aspect of it would be lost on him, and he’s just too physically involved for it to be practical for him.  i can see it having been something he considered when he was younger, but not as an adult so often engaged in physical labour and close range combat  …  mind you, now i’m picturing roth travelling somewhere like tevinter or antiva in more peaceful times and being adorned with some lovely piercings  …

❤ : where on their body is your muse most sensitive?

HOO BOY. is everywhere an acceptable answer?  it isn’t even a cop out, honestly.  lack of sight has left him naturally more attuned to his other senses, especially touch.  a downside is that he’s rather ticklish, but the upside more than makes up for it.  it ‘s easy to get him going with even the simplest of touches  ( and makes him far too tempting to tease ).  but if i had to pinpoint particular areas  —  anywhere on his neck from jaw to the juncture of his shoulder, behind his ear and the lobe itself, his upper inner thighs, just below his naval, his scalp in terms of fingers running through his hair  ( or tugging and pulling ).
