Umbra Vitae - Shadow Of Life

Debut album, released in 2020. Band features Jacob Bannon on vocals (Converge, Wear Your Wounds), Mike McKenzie on guitars / vocals (The Red Chord, Wear Your Wounds, Stomach Earth), Sean Martin on guitar / vocals (Wear Your Wounds, Twitching Tongues), Greg Weeks on bass (The Red Chord), Jon Rice on drums (ex-Job for a Cowboy, Uncle Acid). Recorded and Mixed by Kurt Ballou at GodCity. The band was formed during rehearsals for Wear Your Wounds. The intro track reminds me of Slayer. Real heavy death metal throughout the album. Great debut from some legends in the genre’s.
