All of Charlie’s art in Dee Made a Smut film has always fascinated me. But today I want to focuses on a couple that really stood out to me and why I think they help teach the message of the episode.

This painting shows a woman with dirty blonde hair and a halo ripping out a man’s heart while he’s wearing The Boy footie pajamas from Nightman. I think when Charlie painted this, he intended it to be him and the Waitress—she ripped his heart out when she rejected him after his play but he still sees her as an angel.

But doesn’t it also kind of look like Dee and Dennis? Especially with the messy makeup on the woman, the way the man’s face looks like it can have facial hair or be clean shaven depending on how you look at it. In this scene where the painting is shown, Dee is confronting Dennis with his trauma, showing everyone his bloody ripped out heart and acting like she’s doing him a kindness (killing him while seeing herself as an angel). Also super interesting in hindsight when you consider that in DTAMHD Dennis fantasizes about eating a bloody heart to sooth himself, taking the trauma back into his own body in a sense.

Let’s look at some more.

A painting of dogs barking (at a human shape maybe? Hard to tell) and a rat covered in blood. To Charlie, I again think these are pretty straightforwardly about his life—he was illustrating Cricket’s dog orgy and the rats he bashes at Paddy’s.

But in the scene they’re framing Dennis, who is in the middle of trying to make excuses for the CSA he suffered. He’s trapped like a rat who’s being bashed, he wants to scream and howl like those dogs but he can’t. And the dog orgy is literally Cricket being assaulted by dogs and then playing it off casually so that’s also a pretty obvious parallel.

In this scene Dennis also explains that he thinks good art is just whatever the “right” people say is good art. Because he’s never been able to connect with his feelings due to his trauma, Dennis has always had a hard time connecting with art on a personal level (in sharp contrast to Frank, who sees himself in art depicting WWII so deeply he has an out of body experience). Like most things in life, Dennis only sees art for its social and commercial value, not as a way to feel connection. That’s why he’s so dismissive of all art that isn’t porn, because porn at least has an obvious tangible use. But even then, even then, when he tries to make “artistic” porn, his mind immediately (subconsciously) tries to express his trauma, using art to express his deepest wounds in a way he isn’t even aware of. And I think Dee sees that and tries to help him through her own interpretation of his art, continuing the metaphorical conversation he started, but she’s also petty, and bitter about him mocking her art at the beginning of the episode, so she does it in a way that’s vicious and public. Art can hurt you, make you think about things you don’t want to, and Dennis hates that. He doesn’t see the emotional connection he could make with Charlie’s art or Dee’s or even his own because he won’t let himself.

"Damn you iced out huh", I said and grasped his hand, looking at the rings on his fingers. "You gotta be froze in this ho to talk."

He laughed. "Really Kenn."

I laughed with him.

"Nah I'm just playing", I hummed as I grabbed his phone. "We can go to this one."

"Alright", he said before putting his car in drive.

I handed him his phone back.

"Let me put my seatbelt on. Cause I remember you used to act like you was a Nascar driver", I hummed as I put my seatbelt on.

He just chuckled.

"They was making videos?"

"You acting dumb", I said sitting back and crossing my arms. "You acting like you don't know and stuff. Boy don't be acting all Hollywood."

Day 15: Favourite Game ⭐️

Kirby Super Star Ultra was my first Kirby game and, frankly, no other game has achieved as much as this one. Before anything else, it took the masterpiece that is Kirby Super Star… and made it better!

We owe this game many things, including Bandana Dee’s first major appearance, the first mainline Soul boss fight, Galacta Knight, Masked Dedede, to only name these.

This is also the first game Kumasaki has directed; we can see how it set the tone for all the awesome content we have now! Newer games may have better graphics, but this one will always have a special place in my heart (totally not nostalgia I swear)! 💖

Dave/Springbonnie Cuff, a Flipside-Gang inspired case for my Ipod, and a ton of singles.

Some slight context and info becuase I love telling to stories behind my pieces of kandi >.<

The top Dave single was a Christmas present from my bff who lives across the US (I moved, but we’re still super close <3)

The ⭐️Dave/Jack⭐️ singles were made when I was just entering the fandom, and were before I realized it would be my next hyperfixation.

The HenHen single is due to a stupid inside joke with my sibling and is a dumb Miller x Emily joke ship bracelet I throw I them to piss them off (they are horrified by the thought of shipping them)

Mason and Johnny are two Phone-Head OCs, one you’ve seen, and the other is a national park gift shop employee :) he also is sent into the part to rescue lost pets because he is the most expendable.

And the peyote cuff thing that’s super small is the result of me trying to make the aforementioned IPod case but I made it too big :( so I finished it off at the orange layer and it fit like a single.

Edit: also for the case, the stripes/characters in order is the one in the final boss 👍 it’s two rows per, being Jack/Dave/Dee/Peter/Steven (no blackjack 😔)

I feel kinda fake bc I see so many people talking about their kin memories and I DO have kin memories, but not visual ones. I don’t SEEING remember specific canon events (yet) but my memories are more like feelings, and senses other than sight. I remember how I felt on my birthday before it all went wrong and how excited I was, and I remember how it felt to just run around carefree.

When I saw the florida project, it just reminded me of being 5 and running around with a few friends and causing chaos. it wasn’t exactly like the movie (we never spat on anyone’s car or did anything to that level of disrespect) and i don’t remember anything visually, but I know. I know I’ve experienced that before and obviously, I would know if those were from my current life, but they aren’t, so where else could those feelings be from? I was never left unsupervised at that age here, but Jack, while I love him, wasn’t the best parental figure (in his defense, he wasn’t prepared to take care of me… at all. I know in canon, Peter moved away, but I’m not sure if that was the case in my memories. He might have stayed with us, but if I do get enough memories to be able to tell I’ll probably go here first thing lol)

I also remember the distinct taste of American candy, which is something I hadn’t tried till later in life here, so obviously, it wasn’t from this life that I’m getting confused. I want to reconnect with my family SO BAD, even if they’re not from my exact universe/timeline/wtvr, but I’m scared of just reaching out and being like “hey it’s me I’m kin with your dead sister from your past life do u want to be my friend”

For once, a post that’s not about A.K.I. and F.A.N.G lol.

Anyway, I thought it’s kind of remarkable that Dee Jay is in Street Fighter 6. Before the game was even announced, a lot of people had their own wishlists and predictions on who’s going to be in the sixth installment. I’ve seen people wanting Sakura, Makoto, Dudley, Fei Long, Yun & Yang, and some other characters. Not many asked for Dee Jay, that’s what I remembered. When people saw the leaked SF6 roster back in June 2022, I’ve seen people said that they weren’t expecting Dee Jay to come back. Same, I wasn’t expecting that either. But they did commented that he got a major glow up, which I also agreed. He looks SO GOOD!

Now we’re more than 6 months into the game’s lifespan and people are loving Dee Jay. From what I’ve seen, he’s a high-tier character. Last time I checked, there’s 6 Dee Jay players qualified for Capcom Cup X. Awesome!

Tbh, I was recently curious on what his tier was in the Street Fighter 4 series. I played the “Super” version during its heyday despite not being part of the FGC at the time, so I was not aware of anything. I only played it for my own enjoyment and to see what the characters were like gameplay-wise and where their story went. Anyway, as I looked online, Dee Jay was actually low to bottom tier in USF4. Yikes, no wonder hardly anyone asked him back before the SF6 roster leak. But I’m happy Capcom made the decision to put him in the game and did justice to him. Dee Jay is shining brighter than ever! 😎🤩😎🤩✨⭐️🌟💫🎼🎵🎶🎶🎼🎵🪇🪇

(During the events of Crystal shards✨💜) Dedede put Sir Meta Knight in charge of the castle xD💫✨and watch all his wanya dees as well <3 Tiff was a bit worried after they all left but Meta Knight told her not to worry stuff will be okay. When Kirby, Ribbon, Bandee, and Dedede are all fighting together they are unstoppable :D. Tiff hasn’t met Queen Ripple so this is her first time she indeed met Ribbon before so has Meta Knight and Escargoon! Ripple has never left Ripple Star before so this is her very first time ^^ When Aria went to Ripple Star for the first time she met Ribbon and Ripple. Ribbon and Ripple both all talk about good things about Kirby and Dedede :D how they both stop and defeated Zero >:) that’s a bit it for now hope y’all like this :)💖🌸
