AU N and his Deino!

Fun fact: The X shaped scar on his right arm from N's ref sheet was actually a bite mark from Deino! When he first found Deino it was injured & scared + it couldn't see, so it bit him. It eventually warmed up to N after he spoke to it. Luckily N doesn't hold any hard feelings towards Deino for doing that.

I wanted to do something related to dragons, and for the longest time I had this draft so why not go for it.

2D as a pokemon trainer! 

Pokemon under cut

Deino- Deino is a cute and tiny dragon type pokemon that is unable to see bumping into everything and anything, also Deino bites everything they can get their hands (or well mouths) on. Their trainers are often covered in cuts and bruises until they can warm up to Deino. Like 2D they look scary on the outside and blind as a bat, they also share the fact that despite their intimidating looks they are just really sweet underneath. 

Galarian Rapidash- strong, prideful, and pink and blue this pokemon is the literal embodiment of 2D during the Now Now album. 2D had a Galarian Ponyta for the longest time, often rubbing its horn to help with the headaches or bruises. His Ponyta only evolved when 2D grew into his own becoming more than a shadow to Murdoc, that being the Now Now. 

Togekiss- Togekiss is a pokemon that appears during times of strife, so Kong definitely has an infestation of these pokemon. 2D’s Togekiss defanality followed around 2D until 2D caught it because let’s be real, 2D has not had a happy career during his times with Gorillaz. 

Grafaiai-  a spray paint little guy with weird teeth, whiskers that look like a five o’clock mustache, and big soulless eyes. Might just be a bunch of red string but this definitely is a 2D pokemon. In the earlier phases 2D expressed his love for graffiti and Banksy. 

Toxtricity- low key form. The punk pokemon with blue hair from England? Another pokemon that is literally 2D. It’s very nonchalant and cool, similar to how 2D portrayed himself in earlier phases. Toxtricity also plays the bass guitar, not 2D’s instrument of choice but he did admire Murdoc one a blue moon ago. 

Sigilyph- 2D is described as being lost in “rainbow soupy clouds” Sigilyph is a very colorful abomination. It itself looks like it was pulled out of a dream world. 2D and his Sigilyph have a special bond even coming up with their own languages. 2D
