This is one of those melodramas that are highly frustrating, that suck you in even though you scream and roll your eyes at everyone’s antics. Especially when practically half the cast is manipulative and evil. I mean you have a few of the main characters and her side of the family who are just the pushpins for the the villains to torture. And yes, I’m looking at you grandma and Ye Yi Lan! I don’t know which one was worse (well probably grams since she tried grooming her granddaughter into her so yeah.) I also doesn’t help that the main male lead is dumb and naive as the female lead. I hate to use dumb too, but I don’t know how many times he blankly trusts his ‘female best friend’ after she tries to sabotage everything fifty million times. Nevertheless the drama is highly engaging, very entertaining and enjoyable. Would I watch it again. Hell no, but I would definitely recommend it once for those who like it melodramatic and soapy.

Okay but Savathun telling Immaru, of who would work with their plan, not Mara, only maybe Eris, but “probably” Ikora. Like there are so many ways to take that. The foremost I can think of is that Savathun did not expect Ikora to have the growth she did in Witch Queen, and for Ikora to be consumed with her obsession with redeeming herself by defeating Savathun. Or it could be that, as Ikora chastises herself for not doing, Savathun expected Ikora to take this bullet for Eris.

But then there’s also the fact that Savathun referred to Eris as an accessory of Ikora, when Eris has been so much more at the forefront of Hive stories. And we know Savathun admires her, she wrote a whole fanfic about Eris. And we know Xivu Arath admires her, she talked to Savathun about Eris and Savathun responded so pettily. And we know Ikora admires her, and she confides in Eris and cares for her.

Ikora, this truthseeker who loves detective novels, contrasted with the god of lies—I think Savathun just likes Ikora. I think Savathun wanted Ikora to be part of this more than any rational prediction. I think Savathun mocks Xivu Arath for wanting to be loved a whole lot for someone who died alone, severed from her family. I think Savathun is jealous.

I think the people Savathun listed—Mara, Ikora, Eris—are people she enjoys, admires, likes. I think she’s very happy they want her back.

from my perspective the fact that they already found yukiko is so funny bc its LITERALLY been a day im on easy for the story and managed to day one yukiko's castle (which never happened the entire time i first played p4 i was spending at least a week on each dungeon sometimes in real life at least 3-4 days working on a boss or dungeon and i was on normal this game is HARD) and theres no blocks to progressing the story until you get to a certain date like in p5 you absolutely CAN and often will day one palaces in p5 but no matter when you complete it you will have to wait for the dead line to move on to the next arc p4 didnt do that i was able to do all stages aka bosses of yukiko's dungeon in a single trip i only went to the velvet room once after maxing all 8 of the personas i have to complete the compendium (and was able to get to level 20 in 8 floors and unluck 8 persona slots when you start at level 1 with 6 slots) like this is so fast yukiko went missing i think late yesterday so its been exactly 24 hours shes been found so the freak out to immediate relief is kinda silly to me i love it lmao

i have a lot of thoughts about guardians remembering the feeling of the family and loved ones they had before they died but not being able to put a name or a face to the memory. ari and apollo-11 specifically have a LOT of issues surrounding it,,,, ari died too soon and apollo wasn't an exo when she was alive, and it's not til they both meet as guardians that they realize what they'd been living without.

there's also a... significant amount to talk about, about the role they both played in each other's deaths. complicated siblings who never learned that they didn't need to keep trying to prove themselves to each other until it was too late.
