Crux, the Southern Cross constellation seen from the Southern Hemisphere ... made up of four main stars ... Acrux (Alpha Crucis), bottom; Becrux (Beta Crucis), left; Gacrux (Gamma Crucis), top; and Delta Crucis, right. Note the inky spot to the south, known as the coal sack which is a gas & dust cloud. ☁️ As a kid I’d stare at the stars ✨ and imagine the universe beyond. It’s odd to not see this familiar night sky now living in the UK.
