some generic deltafell

i made a deltafell take like... awhile ago but im redoing their designs so here are all the old refs!!

KRIS- Kris Dreemurr is a sullen and quiet teenager who lives with their mother, Toriel Dreemurr. Toriel is consistently out of the house due to her job, she no longer works at the school and instead in the city resulting in Kris being left alone most nights and days.

SUSIE- Susie is… fairly new in HOMETOWN, she had moved a couple of months ago and is fairly well liked among her peers despite her not being really close to any of them. She’s gotten word that her classmate, Kris, isn’t someone to be messed with, as they’ve been rumored to have KILLED a monster who went missing. 

NOELLE - Noelle Holiday is Kris’ ex- best friend. The two were close until Dess’ vanishing which resulted in Noelle resenting Kris for a lot of things. Most of which were outside of their control. Noelle puts herself under a lot of pressure, as she’s the mayor’s daughter as well as her own self-inflicted pressure of living to her own high-standards. She’s not shy about her disdain towards her ex-friend as she’s actually accountable for starting a few of the rumors surrounding them. 

RALSEI - Ralsei. The Prince from the Dark. Ralsei is very serious with his role in the prophecy- envisioning the lightners and himself purging the dark world of impurities and restoring peace to the world. This.. is short-lived however as he finds Kris and Susie to not be, at ALL as the legends depicted. Kris is the only one he’s fond of, to an extent, and that’s just because they’re obedient.

BERDLY - Berdly, after losing the spelling bee to Noelle, turns to some other form of comfort since he perceives himself to not be the brightest of the bunch. After watching a couple of movies, he determines if he can’t be smart, being popular would have to do. He signs up for Hometowns Sports Team and is.. on the bench mostly.  He still talks with most of the athletic types in school and is, probably, the only one besides Susie to not pick on Kris. 

LANCER- The next in line to the spade dynasty, Lancer seems very dead set on earning his fathers approval- bringing guard after guard, knight after knight, and weapon after weapon in order to get you out of his sights.

My take on Deltafell design with a nod towards og Underfell style. I also have some ideas for these goobers below

TW: abuse, depression and dark topics

Kris got bullied when they first appeared in the town because they were the only human kid. They were overshadowed by Asriel. After their parents divorced and Asriel left for college Kris was pretty much neglected by Toriel and started harming themself. They wear turtle neck sweater to hide scars on their arms and neck. They can't let go of the past and so they wear their old red horns. And of course there's this whole soul problem. But overall Kris is a very caring and kind kid that wants to solve conflicts peacefully.

Susie got kicked out of her house because her parents were greedy abusive assholes. She has to steal to get money for food and sometimes gets into fights because of that. She still goes to school but didn't get any help. The police keeps an eye on her and she might get expelled if she gets into big trouble. Sometimes she gets free food from Sans. She looses her mind when she's hungry and only wishes to get revenge on her parents. Susie isn't a numb killer or anything but because of her life she usually finds violence as the only solution. It's rare for someone to be nice to her but she still can be grateful for any kind of help.

Noelle got really depressed and insecure after her sister got missing and her father died. She tries to hide herself, wears covering clothes and is socially anxious. Her mother is extremely overprotective and sometimes doesn't even let out of the house. This is also why Noelle looks very sick and pale. She lives in constant stress. She's ashamed of her feelings for Susie because her mother might shame her for liking a homeless girl. Her only real friend is Kris who she can relate to in many ways. It's like her and them against the whole world.

Well this got long and I might make a comic out of that but I'm not really an expert in some of these topics so I hope I won't offend anyone. And there will probably be shit ton of AUs after this game comes out

Okay so I’m thinking there would be two “Weird Routes”

Noelle Weird Route: Instead of having Noelle kill every Darkner, you have her recruit every Darkner, teaching her to be kinder.

SOUL Weird Route: To go along with the Player being a friendly demon that Kris managed to bind to themself, Kris has some sway over the options the Player can pick from, but not what the Player picks. So, Kris gives the Player options that are inline with the canon Weird Route (what Kris wants them to pick) and options that are the right thing to do (Kris doesn’t these to be picked), and the more the Player picks options that go along with what Kris wants, the less choices the Player has (like they go along with Kris for enough choices that they lose the option to use acts that would help them recruit Darkners)

Maybe the final boss of the SOUL weird route is actually kris and it can be a neat parallel to flowey/asriel in undertale in that we fight someone who believes that the world is kill or be killed and that we have to show them kindness in order to win
